Part 89

Prem, Lalit, Heer and Chahat went to hospital. Visaka also went with Chandini. Daljeet is happy that all going according to their plan. While taking blood, Chahat 'papa why are they taking blood?' Prem 'for a check up. To keep ourselves fit and healthy.' He smiled hiding his sadness.

Chahat 'why Dadi, Chachu, Chachi and Gungun didn't come?' Prem 'they will be coming t'row. Chachu has work today.' Chahat 'Dadi?' Prem 'she is tired.' Chahat shook her head. Chahat buried her face into Prem's chest when the nurse took blood form her.

Except Prem all are confident from their part. Prem thought 'what I'm going to do if I'm proved Sagar. Will Chahat understand the truth? What is her future? How Heer will react?' he wanted to cry aloud.

Court has fixed the date after two days. Those two days went as two years for Prem. he stayed inside the room with Heer and Chahat. Prem is kissing Chahat and Heer all the time. Heer noticed his tension. She tried all the ways to keep him happy but he looked convinced only for her sake. She kept her hand on his chest. 'Prem, I'm with you. you are my Prem.'

Chahat never allowed him to leave even to washroom. She is very disturbed and listening each and every elders conversation. She found out that there is fight going on for Prem. 'Papa. You are my papa only.' Putting her hand around his neck, she repeated this several times in these two days.

T'row in the court judge will give his judgement after getting the DNA result. Prem is lying on the bed keeping Chahat on his chest. Heer lying on the other side keeping her head on his chest. He hugged them tightly thinking 'may be this is the last night I'm spending with them. After that Visaka won't allow me to stay here.' His heart ached when he thought about Chahat and Heer reaction to the reality. 'I didn't remember sleeping with Visaka but Bhiaya is saying I'm Sagar.' His head spinned when he thought more about it.

He closed his eyes to forget but nothing seems to be helping him. He struggled through out the night without sleeping. Chahat in her sleep crying 'you are my papa only. Papa don't leave me.' This made him sad.

Morning, Prem woke up early. They got ready. Prem hugged Heer and Chahat tightly with tears. He kissed them on their forehead and cheeks. Heer understood his confusion. She gave all the kisses he asked for. Chahat wrapped her hand around his neck 'papa, I won't leave you today.' Even to the court Chahat adamant and accompanied them. From the elders discussion she came to conclusion 'today the court will decide whether Prem is the father of Chahat or Chandini.'

After having breakfast, Prem thought 'this is the last time together in this house with my love.' Chahat stretched her hand up to pick her up. Prem picked up in his hand and kissed her cheek. All went to court. In the car, Chahat sitting on Prem's lap and leaning on his chest tightly holding his shirt. Heer is holding his arms giving confidence to him. Lalit and Gaya3 praying to God help them to overcome this test. Preet is driving the car with prayers.

In the court, Visaka and Daljeet sat with a smiling face. Veera and Nihal are tensed. Nihal thought 'Prem or Sagar he is Heer's husband and Chahat's father.' He silently prayed 'God to give Prem to his Heer and Chahat. they need him.'

Juneja's entered the court. Harman met him and pat Prem shoulder. Chahat was hugging Prem all through the session. Heer is holding his hand. Prem felt as if he is going to hear his life sentence. When Visaka saw Prem holding Chahat and Heer with him, she got angry. Daljeet touched her hand 'stay quiet until we receive the judgement. Only few more minutes.' Visaka nodded.

Court started. Juneja's and others are eagerly waiting for the judge to declare his judgement. Judge asked for the DNA result. It is produced by the police. Judge read the report. He declared the judgement. Juneja's shocked. Prem closed his eyes tears rolled down his cheek. He felt a heavy hammer hit his head to kill him. he want to die on the spot. Visaka jumped in joy. Daljeet happy.

Heer slowly pulled out his hand out of Prem's as the judge read the DNA result and judgement. Judge 'From DNA result it is proved that Prem aka Sagar is the father of Chandini. His DNA matches with Chandini not with Chahat Juneja and Lalit Juneja. So court declares he is Sagar not Prem. He is the father of Chandini. He has to take care of his daughter Chandini.'

Heer head spinned, when she heard the judgement 'I made a mistake in identifying in my soul mate. I slept with an unknown person. I made a mistake.' She hit his head with her hand. 'I'm a stupid.'

Prem now Sagar moved forward to hold her hand. Heer pulled her hand away from him 'leave me. You are not my Prem. I made a mistake. You are not my Prem.' she started crying like a mad.

Lalit and Gaya3 held her in their hand. She fell to the ground hitting her hand on the ground. Gaya3 'Heer' Heer 'no ma. I made a mistake. I broke my Prem's trust. How can I do like this? i'm unworthy to live in this world.' Heer wiped his sindoor. Pulled out her mangalsutra out of her neck. 'I'm only Prem's.' Lalit and Preet try to hold her but she got up from the ground and started running.

Sagar holding Chahat in his hand let her down and ran behind her to stop. Visaka stopped him 'why are you running behind her?' Sagar 'leave me.' He is about to step forward Visaka pulled him back. Chahat ran to Sagar 'Papa, mamma running.' She started crying. Sagar picked her up in his hand. Visaka pulled her out of his hand pushed hard on to the ground.

Chahat fell on the ground and her head hit hard on the ground. Her head started bleeding. Preet ran to grab her in his hand. Sagar rushed to Chahat pushing Visaka away. He grabbed Chahat in his hand. She fainted. He looked at Heer who is running aimlessly on the road.

A speeding lorry came in opposite direction. Lorry driver pressed horn to tell Heer to move away. Heer is not in sense running like a mad towards the lorry. Sagar ran to stop her hugging Chahat with him. Before he could reach the spot, lorry hit Heer and she flew in the air and fell few feet away on the road. Her body totally injured. She is bleeding heavily.

Sagar shouted 'Heeeeeeeeer' At the same time Chahat started struggling to breath. He looked at Chahat and cried 'Chhhhahhhat.'
