Part - 76

People are going behind the sea which is moving backwards. Prem picking up Chahat in his hand quickly got up. 'Heer, hurry up.' He literally started dragging her. 'Preemmm.' Chahat shouted 'Papa my shoes, toys.'

Prem shouting 'I'll get you new one. Heer come.' Leaving their things down they started running in opposite direction. Mostly all are walking towards the sea to watch the water moving backwards. Few are running in the opposite direction along with Prem. Prem shouted 'Heer, we have to run as fast as we can to reach our bike.' Prem holding Heer in one hand and Chahat in another ran towards the bike.

Prem 'Chahat, put your hand around papa's neck tightly.' Chahat putting her hand around his neck 'Papa, why are we running like this?' Prem didn't answer. His aim is now to save Heer and Chahat. Heer didn't understand what is happening around. She ran along with Prem. She felt hard to run on the dry sand. Luckily they are nearer to the road.

They reached the road but fence in front of them. Prem is worried for a second. Prem saw the gate is few metres away. He noticed a broken entry in the fence. He pushed Heer through that and gave Chahat to Heer and came out through the gap. He started running towards bike picking up Chahat from Heer and holding Heer hand. Prem kept Chahat on the bike in the back 'Chahat, hold papa. Chahat is totally scared nodded with confusion. He started the bike and sat on the bike. 'Heer, Hold me tight.' As soon as Heer sat on the back with Chahat in the middle Prem drove the bike.

Heer about to shout 'Prem you are going in the wrong direction.' Prem shouted to another bike rider who is going to turn towards the road 'don't ride along the shore. Move in opposite.' Few bike and car roared along with Prem's in opposite which is an empty land. Few people also running behind them.

At the back they heard a loud roar of waves. 'Heer hold me tight' Stones and sand made them jump up and down. Heer and Chahat held Prem tightly keeping their head on his back. Prem prayed 'God save us.'

Few cars stopped behind as they were unable to drive after because of the bushes and stones. People are getting out of the car started running. Prem reached a spot after that he cannot ride the bike. There is a wall blocking the way. He parked the vehicle. 'Heer get down.' Prem picking up Chahat and holding Heer hand stared the wall. Feared griped him. Hugging Chahat and Heer closer to his heart, he leaned on the wall. People are trying to climb the wall to save their life. Prem know very well that he can climb but Heer and Chahat cannot.

Heer cried 'Prem you climb the wall with Chahat. Forget me.' Prem hugging her closer 'no Heer, I cannot leave you alone like that.' They cried silently.

Otherside wave coming towards them. Prem hugged Heer and Chahat tightly. Heer and Chahat putting hand around him stayed quiet. Only their hearts screamed each others name.

Suddenly the sound of wave reduced. Prem slowly opened his eyes. Few meters in the front of his eyes sea water returning to its border dragging some people along. He increased his grip around them when he saw people going along with water.

When he felt that there is time to escape 'Heer' she opened her eyes and saw the same. Prem didn't allow Chahat to turn look the surrounding. He held her head close on his chest. Few people are running behind shouting their loved ones name who are washed away with water. There was scream and crying sound around them.

Prem quickly gave Chahat to Heer. Heer too didn't allow her turn her face to otherside. He started the bike. 'Heer, God has mercy on us.' Heer kept Chahat in the mddle and sat at the back. Chahat and Heer are holding Prem waist tightly. Prem drove the bike along the wall 'we may find some way.' The crowd nearer to the wall and few more bike riders made difficult for him to push forward. Prem didn't give up his confidence.

In the mansion, Lalit is watching TV. He suddenly shouted 'Gaya3'. Gaya3 came running hearing his fearful voice. Nihal too rushed out of his room to see Lalit.

Lalit cried 'Gaya3, see the news. Tsunami hits East Coast of India.' Gaya3 in shock 'Prem took Heer and Chahat to beach.' When they saw the pictures of people searching their dear ones, Gaya3 fainted shouting 'Premmm.' Nihal and Lalit managed to drag her to the couch. Lalit splashed water on her face. Gaya3 opened her eyes and she started crying shouting 'Prem Heer Chahat'.

Preet and Megher came running 'Dad.' He stopped when he noticed others are already aware of the news. Lalit 'call Prem.'

Preet dialled the number. 'Dad, its ringing but he is not picking up.' Lalit sat in the couch holding his head. Megher and Preet are trying to reach Heer and Prem. Nihal in shock standing in a corner.

Veera came out of the room hearing the news got tensed 'now what will happen to me?' she is worried only about the plan she had made. Nihal instructed her to give water to Gaya3. Veera with uninterested face gave water to Gaya3.

Prem and Heer phone started ringing. It is in their jeans pocket. They couldn't pull it out.

After an hour of struggle they found a small way to reach the road. Traffic was totally jammed. Police and Rescue people are running around. Chahat feared when she heard ambulance sound. 'Mamma I didn't like this sound. I'm scared.' Heer didn't allow her to look away from Prem's back. 'Beta, Papa is with us. No need to worry.' He kissed her head. There are many bodies kept on the platforms. People are trying to identify their beloved.

Prem quickly drove towards home. After moving out of the site, on the way he parked the vehicle for a second 'Heer call home and inform that we are safe.' Heer took the mobile from her pocket. Prem again started the bike.

Heer called home. Preer picked up the phone 'Bhabi, where are you?' Heer 'Preet we are safe. We are on the way.' Preet happy 'Dad, they are fine. They are coming back home.' Lalit and Gaya3 released a breath of joy.

When Prem and Heer entered the mansion with Chahat, Prem parked the bike and released a long breath. Heer and Chahat are glued to him. 'Heer' Heer opened her eyes. Heer got down and picked up Chahat who is in shock. Prem putting Chahat on to his shoulder. 'Chahat, we reached home.' She looked around. She leaned back to his shoulder putting his hand around his neck. Putting another hand around Heer, Prem walked towards the door.
