Part - 21

Next day, Heer is busy in her cabin. A girl came to Heer. 'Hi Heer, I'm Ash. PS to Ms. Maya. y'day I was in leave. So I couldn't meet you.'

Heer looked up at Ash. She is pretty girl. Heer smiled 'Hi, come in. madam told me about you.'

Ash sat in the chair opposite to Heer 'you took my place.' Heer with questioning place 'What?'

Ash 'actually I thought I will get promotion as our CEO's PS but luckily you got that and I missed it. but it is really difficult to work with him.'

Heer 'no. he is not that much tough.'

Ash 'are you married?'

Heer smiled 'I have one year old Kid. Why?'

Ash breathed relief 'my line is clear. You won't compete with me. Prem sir is handsome right?'

Heer 'do you love him? but I heard he is already married.'

Ash 'his wife died almost 2 years back. Interestingly he married his PS only but she is unlucky and died soon. I love him a lot.'

Heer smiled. Ash continued 'I joined here before 2 months knowing that he will be here after two months. I'm wondering how he accepted you as his PS. When I tried for this post Madam said he is not willing to accept female PS.'

Heer interestingly 'do you know him already?'

Ash 'I saw him in one of my friends wedding three years back. From that day I was in love and trying to reach him. But later I came to know that he married his PS. Before 6 months I got the news that he lost his wife and coming to India for business. It her fate and my luck he is alone now.'

Heer thought 'many people are chasing Prem'. She smiled 'he loves his wife more than anything. I don't think he will marry another.'

Ash wondered 'you just joined y'day and got all the details about him.'

Heer 'Maya madam told me little bit and I collected some from him during conversation. He remembers his wife in everything. He is different.'

Ash with a confidence 'Wait and see how he is going to fall for me.'

Heer gave a look 'no chance', which Ash failed to understand.

Ash 'okay come we'll have our lunch.'

Heer 'you continue. I have work to do.' Ash went wondering 'what kind of girl she is?'

Prem is walking outside in the hotel lawn. He saw kids playing in the garden near hotel nursery.

***Flash Back

Prem was adjusting his tie in front of mirror. Heer pushed him aside. 'Prem, move I have to get ready.'

Prem 'Heer, why are you taking such a long time to get ready.'

Heer 'what I'll do. I have to be a wife, DIL, Bhabi and PS.'

Prem 'soon mother.' He hugged her from behind. He helped her to wear her earring.

Heer 'ha. I don't know what I'm going to do? You are always behaving like a kid.' She looked at him with exhausted face. she looked upwards 'God, help me.'

Prem turned her towards him 'I'll help you Heer.' He kissed her cheek. Heer played with his tie. Prem looked at her lovingly 'Heer can we stay at home today.' He rubbed his nose on her cheek. Heer pushed him away. Prem moved a step backward 'Heer, why are you pushing me away from you like this?'

Heer ran and buried her face into his chest and with tears'no Prem. how can I'

Prem hugged her and rubbed her back with his hands'I'm just joking.' He cupped her face tell me what you want me to do when we become parents.'

Heer 'actually I was thinking how the working mothers feel for their children during their duty time. we'll set up nursery in our hotel for our staff children. So that everyone working in our hotel will be happy and comfortable.'

Prem thought 'I'm asking for our kid and she is thinking about others. But she always thinks perfectly.' he smiled.

Heer snapped her fingers in front of him 'Premmmm. How is my idea?'

Prem 'nice idea. I take immediate action on this. So you are getting ready to become a very caring mother.' She shyly hit his chest with her fist. He actioned as if he got hurt by her hit. She kissed his chest over the shirt. Prem is about to remove his shirt. She shyly smiled and took his hand wrapped that around her waist and buried her face into his chest. He kissed her head hugging her tightly.

Within a month, all the Juneja hotels were opened with nursery for their staff children. Everyone appreciated as they don't have to run around to find the play school and babysitter for their children.

Prem eyes filled with tears 'it's your idea. Heer'.

Prem's thought about Heer is interrupted by cry of a baby. One lady is trying to console a baby. Baby must be a year old. Prem went to the lady.

Lady 'good afternoon sir.' Prem looked at the child 'good afternoon. Why she is crying?'

Lady 'Her first day here in nursery. she will take time to settle'

Prem hands automatically picked up the child from the lady. Prem kissed her cheek. Baby looked at Prem and smiled. Prem smiled. She quickly placed her head on his shoulder touching his neck. He kissed her forehead. She slept peacefully. Lady is surprised.

Prem handed over the kid to the Lady 'what is her name?'

Lady 'Chahat'

Prem touched Chahat's lips with his index finger and walked away. His heart felt an unknown happiness. He looked at his hands and touched the shoulder where Chahat kept her face. He whispered to himself 'Chahat'. Smile kissed his lips.

Heer searched for Prem in his cabin. He is not there. She decided to check him in his private room. She knocked the door. Prem sensed Heer presence 'come in Heer.' Heer smiled and stepped in after closing the door behind her. She is shocked to see him lying on the bed with few buttons are undone in his shirt. His face looked tired. He sat on the bed and started button his shirt.

Heer with concern 'Are you okay?'

Prem 'yes. I'm alright. I felt tired. You just take these notes and continue the work. I'll be there in another 10 min.'

Heer took her pad and waiting for his dictation. She sensed something wrong. He ran to the washroom and started vomiting. Heer followed him into the washroom. 'Sir.' Prem signalled her that he is okay. He walked back to the bed. He is about to fall. Heer reached him to help but he signalled her to stay away. 'I can manage.' Heer stood there with tears 'why you didn't tell me?'

Prem with anger 'I don't want to disturb others.' Heer felt heaviness in her heart. She gave him water to drink. He refused and reached for another glass.

Heer with tears 'Preemmm.' She sat next to him on the bed. Prem looked at her sad face. He drank water from her hand and fell on the bed. She wiped her tears and called the doctor. Before doctor come to check up Prem vomited two times and almost weak. He didn't have the strength to move his body on his own. He is sweating heavily. Heer wiped sweat from his face. She helped him to remove his shirt. She kept his leg in proper position on the bed and placed a pillow under his head. She covered him with a blanket. She stroked his hair gently. He closed his eyes.

Doctor checked up Prem. 'what did he have in the afternoon.' Heer looked the guy who is standing few steps away.

Guy 'Sir, didn't eat anything in the afternoon. He just now had one glass of fresh orange juice.'

Doctor 'must be food poison. May be unclean glass or from the fruit.' Heer shocked and gave angry look to the guy. He looked down.

Doctor 'don't worry. I have given the injection. Need to give water frequently. Give something to eat before giving this medicine.'

Doctor left. Heer told the guy to bring something to eat without any spices. She sat on the couch. He opened his eyes after few minutes. Heer helped him to sit and fed him the food. She didn't look into his eyes. He ate from her hand without hesitating. He just stared at her. She gave the medicine. She helped him to lay down. She sat in the couch.

Prem slept thinking 'why Heer? Why are you still hiding your identity from me?' Heer noticed tears slipping out of his eyes in the side. She moved away from him and sat in the couch.

He woke up after an hour to see Heer still sitting in the couch flipping through files. He looked at his watch. 'Heer you are getting late. I'm okay now. you leave.'

Heer 'ji.' She told him to take the medicine after the meals. Prem smiled thinking 'I can see the pain for me in your eyes. Still you are not willing to accept.' She left giving instruction about Prem's dinner to one of the waiter.

Heer went to Nursery to pick up Chahat. 'did she gave any trouble to you?'

Lady 'she cried till afternoon. She quickly slept, when Prem sir held her in his arms.'

Heer picked up Chahat. She ruffled Chahat's hair with a smile. They left to home.

Ash came to know about Prem's health and Heer taking care of him. Balwant too got angry for Ash not listening to his plan. 'Ash, I told you to keep an eye on Prem.'

Ash 'Dad, I was busy in my work with Maya. That is why I told you to get PS job for Prem.'

Balwant 'he was not willing to take female PS.'

Ash 'then how he took Heer as his PS.'

Balwant 'I'm also confused about it. You go to the hotel now and take care of him.'

Ash 'he already left to his home after dinner. That stupid is giving information only now.'

Balwant 'Heer is moving closer to Prem. we have to stop her.'

Ash 'Heer is already married and has one kid.'

Balwant 'I have the doubt that she is not married.'

Ash 'I saw magalsutra in her neck. but to hide that she wears a salwar with collar type neck.'

Balwant 'why she hides her magalsutra, if she is married. There is some secret behind that. She doing so to go near Prem.' Balwant decided to act indirectly to push Heer out of Hotel.

Heer called Prem in the night to enquire about his health. Prem lost in Heer's thought while his phone rang. 'how are you feeling now?'

Prem 'yes. I'm feeling better. I'm at home now.'

Heer 'drink plenty of water.' Prem smiled as he listened to her instructions.

Prem 'ha Heer, you don't worry.'

Heer 'morning, you have meeting so take rest now.' Chahat giggled seeing something. Prem heard Kid giggling sound in the phone. Heer tensed and tried to calm down Chahat. Heer hang up the phone 'good night. take care.' to avoid further clue to Prem about Chahat.

Prem hang up the phone. His thoughts raced between Chahat in the nursery and the giggling sound from Heer phone.
