3 Years Later

Chapter 1

Another weekend. Well I wouldn't say Weekend more like a tourtre day. Sundays most boring day of lifee since for ever. Always hated this day. Actually only for one reason because I couldn't find anything to do. Meher also ditched me for her old "FRIEND" and now me all alone at home with nothing to do. This thought ran threw my mind every Sunday and here we are Again on November 14^th 2010. Me sitting on a couch going threw an old magazine filled with modles who cant stop reveling them selves and get enough of make up. I threw thw magazine on the floor and turned on the t.v. I would haunt down the guy who put these stupid channels on t.v for god sakes cant anyone get some thing new around here.

A channel came up and the title came in shiny and glittry words. "Now and Forever with Miley Cryus"

I put down my remote and watched it. I heard the host saying "hello friends, as you know every weekend we invite a celebrity couple and talk to them about their married life. We discuss with them their idea of love, what makes them stay along with each other, and so on. Today we are giving you a chance to know the most famous celebrity couple around in India. The Man himself is the epitome of success and the lady is a well known page three person. Together they are the happiest couple around. So lets ask them about their love story from none other than..", I was about to change the channel but stopped right there when I heard host's next words "Mr. and Mrs. Prem Juneja". I froze hearing that name. It was as though my mind had stopped functioning. I wanted to change the channel but as though my fingers were not in my control, I couldn't do it. Move you stupid little finger, I tried to move my body but I don't know why I couldn't even move an inch, I guess I was lucky enough to breath at this moment.

Camera had shifted from the host to the couple now. I first saw Mrs. Sanjana Juneja, smiling, glistering with diamonds all over. I guess she was pretty but what was with the old fashioned out fit, Gosh someone needs a new wardrobe. I looked at her wearing a collar shirt with a black and white west, the shrit was more like a t-shirt which went upto her elbows and she wore jeans and flats.

Then i saw him, recognized Prem immediately, how could I not. But he looked a bit exhausted, had a kind of haggard look. I could feel that he was a bit uneasy with the environment. But the smile plastered on his face, was saying something else. There he was PREM JUNEJA my heart ached as his name went in my mind and on my tounge.

The host asked them next question to Prem " So tell us how you two met?". But before he could answer, Sanjana intervened and said "Oh we have been childhood friends. Our parents were business partners and friends. My elder Preet and Prem too are closest of friends, so was not it natural for us to fall in love", said Sanjana smiling a little too much

Ya a bit too natural. I said in my head.

"So you literally grew up together, then I guess you even fought a lot", said host again, questioning prem.

"Oh no, we never fought, we were always close to each other. He always catered to my needs, always took care of me. I couldn't even find one fault with him" said Sanjana again not giving Prem any chance to speak.

What was he your pet puppy that she kept him under your arms the whole time kissing him. I said rolling my eyes.

"Ya who would like to fight with such a sweet girl", said the host again posing a fake smile towards Sanjana. To which Sanjana replied posing an extra sweet smile on her face.

Sweet more like the most annoying person.

"So tell me how your parents reacted to you match", said the host gain hoping this time Prem would answer.

"Oh they were perfectly fine about it. They always wanted us together. Ever since my parents died, Junejas have always treated me and Preet like their family. So it was match they were longing for a long time", said Sanjana with her diabetic smile.

Ya, they would have died if they would not have got a daughter-in-law like you in their life, thought Heer sarcastically. I wondered and why was the staute Prem not speaking anything, Wife fed too many dog biscuits.

The host had enough of her answering all the question, so he directed addressed Prem for his next question, not wanting Sanjana to interfere anymore and asked "Ya, so Mr. Prem what made you propose to her for marriage"

I saw Prem move a bit at this question and answered. I picked up the remote and was about to change the channel when I heard …. Prem- "We have been courting each other for quite long then, I felt she is the one who….", Prem stopped and in taking a breadth said again while looking at Sanjana "who completes me, who would make me the happiest person present on this earth if she would enter my life forever. That is when I proposed her for marriage. Today I am glad to say that she plays a big role in shaping me as the person I am"

WoW, even if I don't wana admit it Prem still cant lie infront of me, but who know things change and PEOPLE change, I don't care he can be happy with his Sanjana I don't give a damn.

"So you did you get in life, what you asked for, right?", asked the host

Prem just nodded back in return with a smile on his face

"So it wouldn't be wrong to say you have everything in your life that a man could ever desire in his life", asked the host.

I saw him stiffen a little for a moment as though this thing had ignited something very terrible within him. As though he was not finding the right words to answer. This expression was barely visible, and as it came, in the same way, it was lost next moment. I wondered that did I imagine it or not? He had recovered in a second. He could hide his expressions from anyone in world but except the gal who knew him in and out. He said while looking at Sanjana "yes I have"

"How sweet. Well this answer we come to end of our interview with Junejas. Hope you enjoyed this interview as much as I did…."said the host

I tunred off the t.v thromwing the remote away. Today I felt more hatered for him then I ever had. I never wanted to see his face, feel him near me or even smell his scent near me. I hated everything about him I hated … that … that Bandar. I said in my head with anger covring my face, I got up and left the room going upstairs to me room.

Prem drove away in his car, while the stuff his had said earlier ran threw his mind. He left Sanjana at the party with her friends and drove to his office. It was late for office but he needed to be alone at the moment because there were a few things to figure out.

Mit jaaye yeh zameen

Tham jaye asmaan

His mind and body was numb right now, he could feel his headache rising with each passing moment. He wanted to put to stop to this feeling and so without thinking anything he gulped few drinks neat down his throat. Now he could not feel anything except what he wanted.

Sun le jo unkahi

Yeh meri dastaan

That question was again and again echoing in his mind, ever since it was first put up to him. He knew what he answered was not true. He had few more drinks.

Sone ki sadako pe

Chalta raha than ke

He thought that it was right that he could have anything that a man could wish for except…. Then he closed his eyes, tears falling down.

Kaante biche ab hai

Saya tera ban ke

First he could see nothing, but suddenly he could feel her giggling, then he heard her laughter. He still could not see her full face. Then he saw her lips, taste of which he still remembered, then he saw her cheeks, which would blush everytime, he would say something romantic to her, then he saw those eyes in which he always willing drowned himself. Those hair in which, he loved to get lost in.

He seemed happy, he acted happy but he never was and never will be until one of his mistake never occurred in his life. He had everything but something was missing. There was a hole in his heart which he ached to fill all the time but couldn't. Things were different, Prem was different.

Gham ke andhere hai ujhdhe savere hai

Piche salkhon ke kyun khawab mere hai

Prem- "I have everything expect for what I ache for and need My LOVE ". The moment he said it, her full covered his mind and got nailed in his heart once again. He saw her lips, eyes, hair, everything, he saw … saw….. AS soon as he saw her face he immediately opened his eyes and said "Heer".

The drink fell out of his hand, as wind blew into his face, the windows opened and he saw the moon outside.

Was something waiting for him?

Was there something missing?

Was there something he needed to fix?
