"It would look better if you smiled", he whispered in Meher's ear."Your fianc is obviously very pleased!!"

With great effort Meher forced herself to remain calm and cast a glance on Sameer's face. His face gleamed with excitement. It seemed as if he had won and not her. She realized painfully that, no matter how much she may want to refuse the prize, Sameer will understand, if she did. Fate had played right into Preet Juneja's hands, if he had fixed the lucky draw himself in order to torment her further he couldn't have arranged things better.

"I won't do it, I won't", she absentmindedly whispered loud enough for the man at her side to hear.

"Karna toh tumhe padega Meher", he replied, his voice making her shiver. "Warna tumhare hone wala pati kya sochega?I'm sure tum yeh nahi chati ke usko pata chale ke tum yeh opportunity kyun nahi accept kar rahi!!"

Meher straightened her shoulders, adjusted her dress unnecessarily, drew a deep breath and finally made herself ring the doorbell of Preet Juneja's flat, struggling against to turn and run.

'What was she doing here? How did she let herself be persuaded into going through this? But she knew better, she never really had a choice '

Through the glass door she could now see a tall, dark figure descending the staircase making her heart beat rapidly.

"Toh tum aa gayi!", Preet stood before her, looking breathtakingly handsome in a loose white T-shirt and denim, making her even more uncomfortable.

"Tumhe kya laga main nahi aaungi?"

His lips twisted into a smile and his eyes gleamed with devilish amusement.

"Well, prize jeetne par kisi ne aise react kia jaise uske past se koi bhoot aa gaya usse darane!"

"Tumne aur kya expect kiya tha", she said.

"Mujhe laga tha ki koi bhi ladki mujhe jaise smart, sexy aur handsome artist ke saath time spend karne ke liye kuchh bhi karegi"

"Achha, infact tum jaise insaan ke saath time spend karna toh kya ek minute bhi khade rehna kisi ko gawaara nahi hoga", she challenged.

"Well Meher, apni badhai apne muh se achhi nahi lagti. Tum apne fianc se hi kyun nahi puchhti ke woh iss mauke ko badh kismati ya golden opportunity manta hai?", he challenged.

This was exactly the argument Sameer had used to persuade her to come here today, Meher thought. She couldn't openly confess to him that she didn't want Preet to paint her because she was afraid to arouse Sameer's suspicions.

P.S.:- Firstly happy new year guyzzz!!...i know its tooo late to be saying so but I realized this is my first update of 2012!!...Anyways I know that the story's going a bit slow'But il be updating it more quickly this time'Till then bbye!!
