Shabzie, what an adorable update. Your Preet is just too adorable for words. I have this huge grin on my face right now.....and it's because I have been visualising your chapter. The brilliance of an author, for me, comes out when what i'm reading, on its own, converts into, what I'm seeing. And your characters were acting their parts in front of my eyes. Awesome! The whole update! Dunno why you didn't like it. Especially loved the bit where he tells Tannu and Vikas off....That was super and totally Preetish😆 Loved it Shabzie. You rock....can't wait to read more....And the last sentence intrigues me....much....can't wait....This sounds like an awesome story....

So as you can tell, I loved it! No comments about the forcing yourself to write thing. On the one hand it's good because you get writing out, but on the other hand, sometimes you don't end up satisfied with it...Sigh!Exactly...sigh.....I want chocolate. 😆

Part 4

The atmosphere around the table flowed smoothly, forks clinking against the china, children throwing fistfuls of food at each other when their mother was not looking. Ash however, was oblivious to anything around so entranced she was with person sitting in front of, talking animatedly with Rajveer on her right. Preet had, as always forgotten to run a comb through his hair and shirt was new, she could tell from the crispness of it. Her eyes flashed. If she was his wife, she would have made sure his hair was at least combed. She smiled sweetly at Meher as she passed her a bowl.

"Attention everyone!"

All the attention was redirected at Rajveer, who had stood up, his smile brighter then any light in the room.

"Last night, I might have made the biggest mistake of my life."

'Which was?' asked Preet and Prem in unison. Rajveer grinned down and gently held Ash's left hand out in plain view of everyone.

Preet spit out his water. "And she said YES?!?!?!"

Laughter erupted around the table and Preet earned himself a glare from Rajveer. "Why is that so surprising?"

Preet shrugged. "I don't know. It's just that you are the player! I never thought you would settle down!"

Rajveer glowered jokingly at Preet. "Well I am. And if it was not for me, need I remind you, you and Meher would still be making rock castles out in the fields." More laughter are Preet jokingly hit Rajveer.

Lalit smiled at Rajveer and Ashlesha. "Ye toh bohat aachi kabar hai!"

Rajveer smiled, and a serious expression replaced one of humor. "Ek baath aap se poochna tha..Ashlesha ke paarivaar toh ab nahin hai, toh aagar aap sab ladki to taraaf se aathe aur iske bidaai bhi...." He trailed off.

Gayatri smacked the back of his head. "Ye bhi koi poochni ki baath hai? Of course hum karinge!"

Heer grabbed Ashlesha's hand and pulled her up. "Ab tu yahaan rahengi! Shaadi tak!" Ashlesha tried to feebly argue, but Meher and Kuldi bounded in as well, insisting so fiercely she gave up.

Later that evening, everyone had settled down in their rooms, excited for the upcoming days. Rajveer had driven back home and left Ashelsha at the Juneja clan till their marriage. Ashlesha padded barefoot down in the hallway to Meher's room, to ask her the whereabouts of Kuldi.

She paused at the doorway, softly calling out Meher's name. Meher was no where to be seen, but Preet lay on the bed, bare-chested fast asleep. Ash's voice caught in her throat.

Slowly, not daring to believe herself she inched closer. His hair flopped on his forehead, his eyes closed, smiling serenely in his sleep. Her eyes lowered, knowing it was only Meher's right, but unable to stop herself. Her eyes ran up and down his lean arms, and sculpted chest, taking in the taunt line of small hairs that started above his belly button and vanished into the drawstrings of his pants, a world which she did not know. Her lips were parched, she noticed. Tearing her eyes from his body, she turn and ran all the way to her room.

Collapsing on her bed, she licked her lips, trying to regain her breath. She flopped back, trying to think of anything else. She shut her eyes and whipped them open almost immediately as images of Preet danced in front of her. Keeping her eyes wide open, her fingers clutched at the sheets, holding them tight. Her pulse started racing again and droplets of sweat made their way down her back. There was no going back now.

I know it's short, but I wanted to leave it there. My hindi is a lil (LOT) rusty so it probably sounds a lil weird as well! So yea, that's it, comments? 😆

Anyways....she's already making me super mad...and then course the ever adorable Heer has to go and keep her here until the wedding! 😔 I don't like it...I don't like it one bit! 😔
