Meher felt as if her world was crashing in front of her……..What Ma was saying was right….Afterall she too wanted to unite Preet and Ash at one point of time….But did she want this anymore????

Getting no response Gayatri shook her and repeated her question…

"Kaho Meher kya tum mere bete ka pyaar usse vapis lautane mein madad karogi??"

Meher looked at her unsure of what to say…..She saw her eyes, which were now filled with tears….begging her for her son's happiness……It was then she knew what she had to do…

Taking a deep breath she took Gayatri's hands in hers…"Ma main aapka saath dungi…..Jaisa aap chahti hai vaisa hi hoga"…

"Thanks beta", she said and hugged her….."Main aaj hi Ashlesha se baat karti hun", she said excitedly….

Only Meher knew how she had said those words to Gayatri….It had killed her….But she couldn't help it…..What could she say after all???….That she did not want to unite Preet and Ash anymore…That she did not want to leave him and she didn't even know why……

Next morning in the kitchen…

Meher was busy preparing aloo ke parathas, Preet's favorite, for breakfast when Gayatri entered followed by Ash….

"Beta Meher.."

"Ji ma"

"Yeh parathe Ashlesha ko le jaane de…..Main chahti hun ke Preet ko lage ke yeh Ash ne banaye hai"

"Ji" she said quietly handing the plate to Ash…..

At the table:

"Ma jaldi karo mujhe pait mein chuhe dance kar rahe hai", Preet yelled…

"Abey nalayak….jab dekho tera pait khali hota hai tera", Lalit chided…

"Kya bauji"

Meanwhile Ash entered with a plate full of parathas.....

Everyone was surprised to see her but Preet, he was too hungry to even notice her…

"Aaah kya parathe bane hai…Mazaa aa gaya…..Ummm amazing….Ji chahta hai banana wale ke haath chumlun"

"Beta yeh Ashlesha ne banaye hai", Gayatri spoke patting her head affectionately…

Meher who had just entered the room heard the conversation…..There was a moment of silence…..Preet continued eating his breakfast quietly while Ash bore a disappointed expression……

Meet's room:

Preet was about to leave for office when Meher entered the room……

"Meher main office jaa raha hun…shaam ko shayad late hi jaunga ek zaroori meeting attend karni hai"

She just nodded and was about to leave when he held her hand making her shiver….He made her face him and said:

"Parathe aaj sach much kamaal ke bane the", huskily and bringing her hand close to his lips he kissed it making her go red…….

Later that evening in Gayatri's room:

"Meher main chahti hun ke tum Preet ko ignore karo"…Seeing the blank expression on her face she continued….."Beta tumhe usse ignore karna hi hoga….tabhi voh apne pyaar ko miss karega aur Ashlesha ke kareeb aayega"

"Jaise aap theek samjhe ma", she said quietly…

"Toh theek hai aaj shaam tum uski dinner ke liye wait mat karna"

"Ji"

Preet was very tired by the time he reached home…He had a hectic day…… …..The house seemed extraordinarily quiet……..Where was everyone???......And then it occurred to him…Ma had announced at breakfast that they were to attend the Jagrata at the sharmas in the evening………'Tabhi main kahun ke sab kahan hai…par Meher ne toh kaha tha ke woh nahi jayegi'…..Suddenly he did not feel tired anymore..'Iska matab ghar pe koi nahi hai sivaye……...Yes!!!!!'
