Okay, I actually LOVE reincarnation stories (if they are handled well. Which obviously excludes Ekta-style handling.) But, I have full faith in you 😃. The teaser already sound so intriguing. That dream was so... heart wrenching. I loved "Not now, not ever." That's the power of their love. *sigh* I hope I live up to your expectations then! I'm glad (and scared) that you have so much faith in me. 😆 I hope to do this track justice.

You know, I wouldn't mind a reincarnation in the real show as well. As long as they could somehow kill Premeer, Meet, Harman (yes, he's started to grow on me), and Kul di together. That way, we get rid of anyone unwanted (hint: Gayatri and Veera), and we have a brand new story!! But, once again, I would probably only trust that concept if our forum was somehow the creative of that story. Can you imagine what the storyline would be like?! 😆 Oooh, loads of kisses, phingoli, and shamelessness. 😆 How much fun would that be? 😉 Yeah, Harman's growing on me too, though I admit, I held a soft spot for him because he's Bharat. 😉 I blame E. 😆

Anyway, sorry for commenting so late, but there were a LOT of farewells to say after graduation (surprisingly, for a bunch of people that said bye so tearfully, we spend an awful amount of time talking on msn...), and then I got busy with voting. But, I updated. Bet you thought I wouldn't, right? 😆 Okay, I admit, I thought you'd forget, then saw you online, so I thought, hmm, maybe. 😆 Glad you enjoyed it, and congratulations on graduating! 😉

You know, I've never gotten such a reaction for any story I've written. So, I'm thrilled that so many people have commented and read the teaser, and enjoyed it. 😃 Thanks guys, and I hope I live up to expectations.

Part 1

Each step she took was bringing her closer to her destiny, she knew that. She could hear the mantras being read, but she was focused only on the hand leading her. The hand which she wanted to hold the rest of her life.

Her heart was pounding, in tandem with the pulse of the one whose hand was in hers. Bells began to ring, swaying vigorously. She could hear horses, galloping fast and furiously. Panic gripped her. Smoke began to fill the air.

A furious yell caught her attention as a horse galloped into the mandir. She looked at Devi Ma in tears as they stopped in their tracks. The grip on her hand tightened. They could not be separated. Not when they were so close.

There was a glint of metal, shining in the sun. It came towards them. She took a step forward, falling. A war cry rang through the air, and she turned to watch a blur hurtling away from her. The hand slipped out of hers. She reached out, screaming for her love.

Heer shot up in bed, panting heavily, one hand reaching out for the unseen figure that meant the world for her. She muffled her yell, not wanting to wake her sister up again. But it proved futile when Meher sat up in bed, rubbing her eyes.

"Di, phir se woh sapna?" Meher asked, the yawn in her voice obvious.

Heer nodded, trying to catch her breath. She blinked furiously, stemming the tears at the pain and loss still wracking her body. The images, which had been unclear before, became even fainter until only the feelings that had been evoked by the nightmares remained. Meher looked at her worriedly; all thoughts of sleep vanishing at the image of her sister looking lost and upset.

Heer gave her little sister a small and wan smile, her exhaustion evident. The dreams, when they came, tore through her body like she was in physical pain. And while they had become less frequent, the dreams still disturbed her, even during her waking hours. "Meher, tum so jaoo. Main theek hoon."

Meher was not convinced. "Nahin Di. Aap kum se kum mujhse jhoot mat bolo," she gave a slight frown. "Main apke liye pani yah kuch lao?"

Heer gave her sister a fond smile, this time the smile reaching her eyes. "No thanks. Main theek hoon. Tum so jaoo, main bhi so jaoongi."

"You sure?" Meher made as if to get out of bed.

"Meher, I'm sure. Ab main araam se so jaoongi," Heer reassured her sister.

"Okay Di, if you are sure," Meher settled back in bed, waiting until Heer had also laid back down before switching off the light by her side.

"Good night Di. Love you," Meher mumbled, already falling back asleep. Heer responded in kind, but it was quite some time before she fell back asleep.

Radz!

That was a fantastic start. Of course, now you have me hooked, and I want to read the next 5 parts in one go *pouts*. So, Meher knows about the dreams. It was nice to see how she tried to comfort Heer. But, poor Heer, I don't think Meher would be able to fully comprehend the impact Heer's dream had on her.

Now, I'm eagerly awaiting the entry of Prem. Does he also have these kind of flashbacks. Fine, you don't have to answer that, I'll just wait and read.
