So good to see the update! how have u been radz?

very interesting update! Oh, u ve built up the suspense in such a way that I cannot wait any longer to know their story..and so many different things connect heer to the past.. temple bells, fire, mantras and horses.and finally that glint of metal...And everytime it is the same things but in different surroundings with some diff melody/song..Wao! u ve really woven this story beautifully..

really liked the khatta-meetha relation of preet meher...and I love this meher..she knows her di's pain in a flash..just a look at her face in the rear view mirror and she knows heer is having nightmare..and she cries coz of her di's pain..Sigh!Loved how preet consoled meher..He is always a charming character..be it on the show or any FF..nice!
And finally, prem..oh glad he felt as if he is coming back...so it is rajasthan where prem-heer story ended..or maybe started...Sigh! i have to wait to know all that...But really radz, i love ur work..
please update the next part asap..will be eagerly waiting.

It's been awhile since I've updated, but I've been busy, and uninspired. I hope to update again after this sooner, but we'll see.

Prem's heart beat in anticipation. There was something in the air he could not decipher, something in the moment, in this place. He swallowed thickly as he slowed the car down and shifted the gear into 'park'. Sanjana had already slipped out of the car, alternating between complaining about the village and exclaiming about the almost ethereal beauty of the place. Prem's hand stilled before it could reach the handle of the door. He sighed, wondering at the feeling of familiarity towards a place he was seeing for the first time.

The second he pushed the door open and he breathed in the scents and atmosphere of Rajasthan, it was like a switch had been flipped. His every movement was measured and precise, and seemingly not in his control. His eyes fluttered shut, and he let his body bend at his waist to allow his fingers to graze the ground. It was like his heart had stopped for that second his hand was in contact with the sands around him. Vaguely, he heard the sounds of payals and giggles, and he allowed a smile to grace his face. Straightening himself and opening his eyes, he brought his hand to his chest, just over his heart. 'Welcome home, Prem.'

"Oi, PB!" He was jolted out of his trance by his brother jumping into his face. "Kahaan kho gaye thay?"

"Yehi soch raha tha, ke yahaan tumhari body kahaan chupa loon," Prem smirked at the dumbfounded look on his brother's face.

"Ma!" Preet wailed, turning to the woman who was scolding her husband for trying to sneak some jalebis'"PB's planning to kill me!"

Meher looked like she would bound over to the pair if not for her brother's restraining hand on her arm. Still, she called over to Prem, "Main madad kar loon?"

"Oi moti kahin ki! Chup!" Preet exclaimed. Meher huffed in shock and annoyance. Her eyes narrowed and Nihaal gave it up as a lost cause, letting go of her arm. Prem shook his head as the two started bickering again. The peace could never last long with the two of them around. His gaze slid across his companions, searching for something. What he was searching for, he did not know, but he found his sights settling on the still figure of Heer.

The white anarkali-churidaar she wore framed her slender figure elegantly. She did not seem aware that he could not tear his eyes away from her. There was something so ethereal about her in that moment, like a moment in time that was removed from reality. Her eyes were distant, and she looked so in tune with the world, so at peace that Prem very nearly snapped at his mother when she brought Heer back down to Earth.

He frowned at himself internally when he realised just how absorbed he had been. But there had been something about Heer in that moment, in the way she had looked, and in the way the world had aligned itself that it was as if they were the only two people who existed that had felt like he had been in this moment, in this place before. And it both intrigued and scared him.

Prem shook himself off, allowing Sanjana to clasp his arm tightly and drag him behind the welcoming committee, chattering about the grandeur of her family's haweli. Her voice faded as he took in the path they were following, and his heart pounded in his chest. If he were to focus on just his heartbeat, he would compare it to the hooves of a horse, gaining momentum. Prem halted suddenly, sure he could hear a scream of fury and steeling himself for the chaos that would follow.

He blinked in shock when he felt a hand rest on his shoulder. He jerked around to face Preet's worry. "PB?" his little brother's voice penetrated the haze that had settled around him. "Are you okay? What happened?"

"Preet?" Prem blinked again, and found that the feeling that had taken over him had receded. He furrowed his eyebrows trying to recapture it, to put it into words without sounding crazy. "I - mujhe nahin pata. I'm just tired, I guess."

Preet nodded, and while everyone else seemed to have accepted his response, Prem knew his brother would confront him again about his lapse later. And Prem had a feeling that Heer had not believed his answer either.

Throughout the rest of their journey, Prem was sure he could feel Heer's gaze on him. There was curiousity, and wonder, and much to Prem's surprise, some sense of kinship and understanding in the look that had him burning from the inside.

It seemed there would be more than one conversation to be had during their stay in Rajasthan. And these conversations would change things in Prem's life. The conversations would change everyone's lives. If only Prem knew just how much. Preet wiggled his eyebrows mischievously. Beyond the playfulness in his eyes though, Prem detected the concern that had become frequent whenever Prem slipped into his 'moods' as Preet called them. from the welcome committee that had been sent for them.
