While searching for friday's epi for a rasta roko (which did not meet my expectations), I stumbled upon the 13th March, 2008 episode. The episode just captured my heart once again, especially these lines:
"Beta paida hone par har kisi ko koi na koi naam diya jata hai, taaki us naam se uski pehchaan ho jaaye. Tera naam tere chehre ki pehchaan nahin hai, tere dil ki pehchaan hai. Tera bas naam hi Prem nahin, tu khud Prem hai. Maa ke liye izzat ke roop mein, apne behnon ke liye sneh ki roop mein, bhaiyo ke liye prerna ke roop mein aur kisi ke liye, kisi din junoon ke roop mein.
Mujhe pata jai, to jise bhi pyar karega, use ibadat ka roop dega, aur wohi tera junoon hoga. Par darr ek hi baat ka hai, tu jise bhi pyar karega kabhi kahega nahin, bas pyar karta hi jayega. Pata nahin beta, woh tere khamoshi ko samajh payegi ki bhi nahin..."
I don't know why, but Gayatri mom saying this to Prem tugged at my heart strings. Maybe it was because I want to see G-mom normal again. Maybe because it's I'm dying to see Prem again. Maybe because it was such a beautiful tribute to the character of Prem. Maybe because it contained the essence of this story - that Prem-Heer-are-one...
Anyway, I know things have changed (for the worse), but I thought that reliving these memories would be a nice way to cheer up. Isn't it strange how much the show has changed from one 13th March to the next?!
