I agree that he didn't seem like Prem at all in today's episode.

First with the saving himself from the rain without a care in the world for the others around him - esp. Heer? Weird.

Especially after Heer told her dukh bhari kahani.

Instead of grabbing her arm and pulling her into a tight hug, which is what I think the old Prem would have done, he asks her about the depth of her love for him - that too in such an awkward manner...it was just weird.

Prem telling Bauji flat out that some of the files show more profit than the other - he wouldnt' flat out say that. He would simply make a decision and assure his b'ji he knew what he was doing and to trust him. I felt prem's telling Lallu that those files were going to see profit come their was was totally off. Unlike Prem go around blowing his own horn of being a Ram jaisa beta.

And the Prem-Preet scene was SOOO off today. I too felt they chem these two share was lacking. What is going on!?!??!?!?! With Preet returning home looking all depressed like that, I would think Prem would be able to read the disappointment and worry etched across his face and question him about it.

But then again, I don't know how to explain the mirror scene with Heer - maybe it was just a predictable phrase and so he was able to catch on and finish it off appropriately...otherwise, I'm inclined to believe he didn't really remember the "ab toh theek lag rahi ho na" episode at all.

Jeez i'm so confused.

Grrrrr....I just want him to be Prem...and if he is, I want the purana wala magic back....something is amiss.

i guess its just that the creatives are ruining his character...they're confusing and making viewers confused too...they dont know wat they're doin...which track they wanna go....and clearly doesnt know how prem was before...coz i guess this new creative came only after prems death....

You're right Khushi - they are ruining the character. I too was thinking this change is due to the fact that they have a new director now (don't they? and new creatives?)....I think they have simply lost the essence of Prem....so maybe we should get used to it and stop questioning it? This is the new Prem - I think we'll just have to accept that.

Soooo much says he's Prem....but then there are these small things which make me believe otherwise. Its confusing because the creatives themselves don't know. I guess we'll just have to wait and see and hope it gets better. I suggest the new creatives go back and watch some old THE Prem wale episodes and brush up on their THE Prem knowledge before feeding us more of this....its no fun.
