Prem wtf - I was actually waiting to hear your opinion on this new Prem, because I was pretty sure that you might not ummm... hate him. I thought the hair gel was a bit too much too, but moreso because we'd seen him just a while before in Rajasthan, wandering through the country with just a backpack. About hc worrying more about his look, I thought that when he started out, the creatives weren't sure how long his character was going to live. However, i think it might be unfair to blame hc for this, it is the creatives who decided his look. I'm also sure that he will sooner or later return to his old prem-look. They can't drag this track forever. Btw, one thing I've noticed is that hc's dialogue delivery is amazing. it's going to be interesting to see this new prem, slowly grow into the old prem. nice challenge for hc. he was so perfect as prem, he should be given a chance to grow too, like every character has grown since prem 'died'.

btw, so i too agree with you on prem-in-rajasthan and prem-after. i kinda figured it made sense - when someone's on their own -- and prem appeared to be wandering, without a purpose, "searching" was the key word i'd hook to that prem -- they tend to be quieter, less flashy. if prem is part of an event management team just now, then he's likely to try to "fit in with the gang". especially if he is a guy who "doesn't know his past"? so seems like prem'd stashed his stuff somewhere and then gone wandering with a smaller bag. then collected his stuff - gelled his hair! so very important - and started back to ludhiana. but i didn't get him getting his portrait done. or that the portrait looked like a copy of a photograph - of old prem! that was weird. but then perhaps that entire painter-episode is something that the entire team wants us all to forget. 'cause they want to forget it themselves? 😆 but coming back to prem... i think he's still mein-bhagwan-nehi-hoon prem. i think the old prem was careful with money too -- have to be to build a successful business. i'm sure he bargained hard. just that this prem is doing it at the level of one person - himself - not a big business. but is still the same. i think they wanted to show that he was a good and careful businessman - a trait that new and old prem share. which was okay with me actually.

and no matter how confused the creatives, i think i'm gonna blame hc (just a teeny weeny bit, 'kay? 😆) for letting that "obsession with appearance" come through. 'cause i think it was showing in his rajasthan scenes crystal. that hand in the pocket grand-stand came through more than just ... thrice! hc....! *tsk, tsk, tsk* get over preening over your pretty self, wouldja? you can preen through our eyes. 😆 and he better get back to his old look! my job as buttoning-up-prem's-white-shirt-for-him and rolling-up-his-sleeves-half-way-up depends upon it!! he wouldn't want to contribute to unemployement in these trouble times would he??? 😆

Heer wtf - hmmmm... maybe she doesn't want to believe prem coming back, because she believes that she is in a way, 'betraying' him by getting engaged to ratpal. She knows she has to do it for their family, but maybe she is guilty? One thing for sure, the editing in this show was pathetic last week.

uh.. i don't agree. 'cause i think that heer's willing to compromise on the one big thing -- getting married to ratpal for prem's family's sake. but she's not willing to compromise on anything else -- the ceremonies that have meaning, the rituals, the touching - how she flinched away from him in front of everyone else even at the engagement itself, her singing "their song" in sorrow in front of the gathering. everyone knows (or should know) that heer is a totally unwilling bride. 'cause it seems to me that is what she is setting up for ratpal. he may be marrying her, but no-one's getting fooled about her views on the matter! *sigh* agree 'bout the editing. it was not that bad in rajasthan, i thought actually. in fact, the photography was rather beautiful and weaved in nicely. is after the re-entry to bombay studios that things have (as usual) started falling apart?

Preet wtf- I'm sorry, but Prem is still, and always will be Ram. I love Preet, but he is perfect as Lakshman. His devotion to his PB-Heer bhabhi is what endeared him to me in the first place. I seriously want Preet to make his own place (he deserves that), than try to take Prem's place (which noone can do). So, I am sure that old Prem will be back, but until then, we should enjoy Prem living out the youth he never seemed to have had.

😆 well, this is certainly one thing on which i'm getting seriously outvoted. 'kay. prem's still ram (even though i think preet's doing a rocking job! 😆)

Lalit wtf - I think the outcome of this will be that Lalit's trust in Heer will be broken (maybe by ratpal announcing their 'engagement'), so he'll realise the importance of preet.

'kay. got back late last night from a trip hopping to yellowstone n.p. to a gangfriend's cowranch in montana (which is a seriously surreal place deep in winter!) to we-party-in-freezing-cold-blasts-from-the-north sf for new year's and then being allowed to drive back home for the first time in three months. other than being frozen all the time, which gave me a cold that wakes me up at 3am... it was a blast of a winter trip. my pcp who had better luck with holiday temperatures in hawaii (no, she didn't run into barak.. 😆) didn't let me tell her 'bout wolves. she wanted to get my opinion on hip-hop prem. prem? uh...hip-hop??... uh... my.. er ... heer's prem?? huh??? didn't we end with pirate-without-a-black-eyepatch prem when i left? huh?? so thought i'd do a person-wtf this time... 😆

Aww Ihate colds. Hope you get better soon😊 Hip-hop Prem? Music starts playing in my head whenever I read that😆 So many names for Prem. We should make a list to keep track of em all.

(warning: i found out there was a lot to wtf. yeah, y'know what that means - this is gonna be long! hey! it's been .. weeks since i posted. i figure i earned the length of this one! 🤣)

* heer wtf: i loved that heer didn't figure it was prem who'd covered for her in her attempt to flee getting mehendi-ed by ratty.. (ew! gross! Thinking about it makes me sick and gives me nightmares) I honestly thought that she might recognize his voice but I guess she was to worried to notice i totally loved that heer didn't accept that she'd seen prem in front of her at the dargah. Poor thing probably thought she was hallucinating. Though I would've loved for her to go up to him to make sue he's real and have them re-unite. The faster they get together the faster Heer gets rid of RR🤢 But I guess since after that day in the desert when she thought he was there and hugged him (can never get tired of watching that episode😍) she probably thought she was imagining him since she misses him so much and really wants him to come. but i must say the script-writers managed to pull a fast-one on me in the entire painter episode!! there must've been at least 10 good ways that heer could've discovered the painter -- giving her super-powers in that episode was totally pathetic! (super-powers: x-ray vision to see the signature, travelling back to the mahal at the speed of light to retrieve the old painting, managing to put her little paw-print on prem's painting and still failing to see it was prem's painting..) That was just...I have no words to describe how stupid I thought it was. Having Super Heer focus on the little details but miss the big picture (Prem's picture to be exact) so my wtf on heer is: she is so much in prem-denial -- how is she going to actually accept he is there right in front of her when he does come right in front of her??! That is going to be something worth watching. Her being overjoyed that he's back and then thinking if he's there or not. Heer going through mixed emotions....I'm getting all excited thinking about them meeting😃(btw, i have an ag-wtf: why, oh why!? is ag standing around with her mouth open like women in brain-dead serials now??? why, why, why?? so wanted to reach out and lift her jaw to close her mouth shut!) Well....um....I have no idea.

* prem wtf: 'kay. pirate-prem was cool. but after that prem..? that guy in the sleazy faux-leather jacket and egg-yolk yellow t-shirt made me want to grab him by the shoulders and scrub his head under the tap that heer was drinking water from! eeeeewwwwwww, hair gel!! but must admit: totally like the sneakers, dude! 😆 I thought he looked good. Hair gel..not a big fan of that. And yes his sneakers were cool. I think they're trying to show that he's different from Prem and hence the yellow t-shirt and gel(btw, i have an hc-wtf too: does anyyone else think that hc's a lot more obsessed with his appearance now than with being prem? or is it just me? 😕) I dunno...I haven't really noticed that. Maybe he wants to look good for a certain someone *cough* Additi *cough*😳

seriously, am now very curious to see what they've planned for prem. other than the startling change in appearance (propah-prem in capris??! 🤣 um... so why not shorts??? 😆 LOL. That was too much. And the sandals), there is absolutely nothing i have found out 'bout who this guy is. oh, wait, there is one thing! he apparently commissioned a painting of himself! i thought that was really weird... he comes back, a wanderer who answers that he doesn't know where he's going. but he commissions a painting of himself??? ... and that too of him in prem's white shirt?? and that too from ratpal's family portrait artist? uh.. in how many ways can i say i'm confused? You and me both. I'm trying to figure that out. I shall let you know when I come up with a good reason. Must likely I'll come up with something stupid and makes no sense😆

* preet wtf: ooh, preet's sweet and gallant with meher, polite to ash, controlled with dirtchachi, prem-style-worshipful of his father, better-than-prem-careful of his mother, adored by his heer bhabhi, respectfully and regretfully unaccepting of his harman-bhai, preet-style-worshipful of his pb's coin ... uh.. are we sure prem's still ram in this story?? Please don't scare me. I think Prem's still Ram in the story. Preet is being responsible and what not because he knows that Prem's not there and being the only guy in the house (besides Lallu but he doesn't have a job) he knows he needs to step up and be responsible unlike Harman. If only Lallu could realise how much better Preet is than Harman...

* meher wtf: oooooh! meher's dressing up to be worthy of preet's wife, clucking over him, smiling and caring of him, defending him in front of lalit juneja.. and all while being his best friend. are they .. uh .. sleeping together? for some strange reason, i really want to know! Well um....I have no idea. Define "sleeping together"

* harman wtf: *sigh* he is trying, he really is! no, not to act. but to help his family out. but only in the way that he knows. that he respects. unfortunately, it ain't the "prem-way". and so no-one's gonna understand, let alone accept it. poor harman. he's still ram's bharat. but he's gonna have to find better ways of helping out his family... Sure he's TRYING to help but that's not the right way. He abandoned his family and left Meher at the alter. Infact I remember him saying that it's better if one of them survives rather than them all suffering. I just can't get over that. But I guess he still cares. Just wish he would show that in a better way....(btw, i thought both preet&harman looked totally cool in their outfits at that silly felicitation... seriously... 😍 Yes he did! By 'he' I mean Preet. Didn't really look at Harman😆)

* lalit juneja wtf: *sigh* nothing new here... he still has harman-mania, prem-mania, swinging violently between preet-appreciation and preet-unappreciation, treating kuldi's husband as his secy, talking enthusiastically to gayatri-mom and heer... the only seriously interesting twist on lalit-juneja was what the harman interaction showed. lalit juneja who absolutely refused to forgive prem until he discovered that it wasn't prem but himself who was as wrong as hell? is this new attitude of forgiving harman trying to tell us that lalit-juneja has changed? and is more forgiving of beloved son's sins? hmm... then where does that leave his attitude with preet? don't know 'bout you, but it left me more resigned 'bout lalit juneja's inability to change more than confused. still the same old lalit juneja, even in the new year. *double sigh* Don't even get me started! He has some serious issues to work out. I don't understand why he's so mad at Preet. Like what did Preet do? Harman left the family and Lallu got so upset he tried to kill himself. Then he sees Harman and gets all happy. Prem was kicked out of the house and Lallu went all crazy saying he had 2 sons, not 3. And what did Prem do wrong? Nothing! All he did was fall in love (even though Heer was the one he was supposed to marry). And Preet, he married Meher even though he loved Ash just for Lallu's happiness. Does this mean that Lallu favours Harman more than his other sons?

* gayatri-mom wtf!: 'kay! so what's with g-mom?? all i can remember clearly is her when heer returns home... didja see the way she casually strolls over to the sofa and sits in it?.. i dunno - that truly turned me off! 😕 and that scene at the "felicitation" made me frown. that was not a well-written scene. no way, g-mom would've subsided after that! the only way to have resolved that would've been for someone to take her home. heer should've taken her home... dunno. somehow i violently disliked how they ended her part in that scene... 🤢 Same! I have nothing to say about that scene. I didn't like it at all. It was a waste of my time.

* kul-di, husband wtf: uh.. exactly why are these two hanging around here to be treated like dirt by dirtchachi? couldn't they play the loving supporting family from some where else? I have no idea....

* veera wtf!!!: why oh why haven't they changed the script to have a blackhole suddenly turn up in her path through which she steps into another universe where there are no tv-serials through which we can see her? why?? if propah-prem can turn up in gel and capris 🤣 why can't vitchface fall through a blackhole??? You crack me up🤣🤣 Honestly I don't know😳 It's television. Anything is possible. I'm sur ethey can arrange for a backhole. She's too rude.

* nihaal wtf: no real wtf except... he looks cuter in his longer hair setup. and nihaal's got a seriously cute smile... can you hit (i mean, physically hit!) someone with a smile? guess not. 'cause then shouldn't veera have been yelping in pain? seriously want to see vitchface in pain. the dirtchachi kind of a mother-feels-pain-of-her-children and worse kinda pain...😡 Yeah! I don't even know why she's so mean to him in the first place. What did he ever do to her? Sure he's not rich but it's not like she is either now.

* "two funny boys" wtf: hey! they are still there!! as quiet as always! seriously, who exactly are they supposed to be? don't their parents miss 'em? don't they have school to get back to? a job? no? they show up soooo consistently -- they have to have a real role, no? not just "two funny boys" in the show? I honestly don't even know why they're there. Don't they have anything better to do then chill at their cousin's place? Like don't they have jobs or their own house? What's the point of having them there ayway (other than wander around like bhoot)

* ashlesh-dirtchachi wtf: so, i finally figured out what was interesting 'bout these villains in the piece. not so much ash, but the dirty-kooky sisters. these characters actually make fun of the entire balaji-telefilms style of "good guys"! that was a kinda startling discovery for me. i just can't stand dirtchachi. however, i do have to admit to grinning at some (very few!) of her lines. and those are lines which deprecate typical characters in a saas-bahu serial. and i think that's uber cool of the dialogue writer to have done - seriously! if a serial can mock other shows by the same production house -- it's seriously cool 'ccording to me... 👏👏👏.. they still give me a headache though. wanted to seriously hurt dirtchachi at her entire "they must pay for my daughter's misery.." lines. horrible how she blatantly admitted to preet how she was torturing meher to get back at him! ghastly twisted pervert. 🤢😡🤢 She gives me a headache. Her and her lines are annoying. I swear last time she was mean to them, her plan just blew up in her face. I hope this time Heer or Meher don't come and stop Lallu or whoever from punishing her. I bet Heer regrets stopping Lallu from arresting DJ. I just thought of something. If she tortues Meher to hurt Preet, than isn't it hurting Ash when Preet gets hurt? Yes you do😊 the only thing that moved me to wtf 'bout the ratpal connections was actually something that kodiyon-pal said: "i remember tying both your shoelaces when you were 17/18". no, not 'cause ratty wasn't tying his own shoelaces all the way till he was 18! *retard! i could tie mine from age 5!* but 'cause suddenly, all my old wtf-s about prem's childhood came roaring back! 'cause this is the team that gave us prem-heer-are-one and 6/19-prem-heer and 9/11-prem-heer, i'm gonna keep the faith and w&w. even after they gelled prem and repeated that station-dupatta scene in a rather silly way I always think of Heer's magical dupatta and how it grows everytime I hear the word dupatta😆.... i'm gonna keep w&w-ing. looks like it could be a very interesting new year. now if only barak will trash that open-season-on-gray-wolves bill...I hope he does...

back to heer: i was cracking up at the way she did that startled turning at ratty's voice. poor heer had to really do a ballet-dancer defying stunt to manage to turn and flip off the cover of the painting, while simultaneously looking like she didn't see the painting at all! seriously ag deserves some kind of special effects award for that scene alone! 🤣

back to heer: i was cracking up at the way she did that startled turning at ratty's voice. poor heer had to really do a ballet-dancer defying stunt to manage to turn and flip off the cover of the painting, while simultaneously looking like she didn't see the painting at all! seriously ag deserves some kind of special effects award for that scene alone! 🤣

🤣 oh, you and me both! as i said, partly my concern would've been for increasing unemployement by not having any shirts to button up, or sleeves to roll up half way. but then i remembered i wasn't getting paid for it -- don't even know if i could as "employed"! but yeah, mostly it's for the sadness of those gorgeous, gorgeous shirts. no matter how much they get passed around "the others" (said in a nose-stuck-up-in-the-air tone of voice by "the shirts") there's nothing like fitting on those shoulders, draping down that .. uhhhh... torso *suddenly loosening tight, very tight!, collar*, encircled around those arms, getting rolled up over those wrists above those fingers, falling over that waist, those hips... *um. would you excuse me for 2.. no, 5... damnit, make it 10 minutes??! i'll be back!*

y'know? i hadn't noticed it was heer's dress. how can anything heer be recognisable on vitchface. and like you -- i acatually covered my face in my hands when she struck that pose! eeeewwwwww! much worse than gelled prem! 😆 i was okay with the monkey-cap. the shirt? hmmmmmmm! young people in the event management industry today, i tell you. if they're not trying to make some weird new style statement, they probably think they fail to register on the "human beings" scale or something. is that what the creatives are trying to show???

sigh. and i totally missed the flurry of posts-responses. well, for the first two days at least, before we heard the howl of the wolves... 😍 y'know? i wondered at some point whether prem-heer can be characterised as wolves. 'cause y'know they mate for life and all that jazz. 😍😍 😍 but looking at prem's face - strong cap of hair, that beak of a nose, those piercing dark eyes, that broad sweep of his mouth in a smile, of course, that unmistakable jawline, and lastly his ability to take us soaring high above with his lady love heer. and i figured - they're hawks. that's what prem-heer are. hawks. or falcons. swift. smooth. steady.
