You are right, but the creaters of this show have weak (Preet) and strong (Prem) characters. First of all, why would the parents allow the boy (or the girl) to leave the house few days before the wedding AND what was so necessary that anyone HAD TO go. The papers could have waited for signatures. The point is what was the significance of beating the shit out of Preet after the fact. The old man should not have let anyone go to Delhi, period.

this doesnt mean that lallu is the worst father of all just because he is trying to make his son realise that they lost a brother coz of him.. preet desrved that rigid attitude of lallu nd its very true..aisa hota hai real life main..they are showing the freakkin reality which is soo painful.... It is reinforcing that you can go out of your sense and do what ever is in your power and hurt others. I would really want Preet to pack up his bags and leave this lallu. He can do on his own......why are they trying to stay together as a family when there is only one that makes all the decisions of who is good and who is not!! Lalu is the one to be kicked out or perhaps he should hang himself. 😡😡

I still feel that the old man should have controlled his emotions. He has always gone overboard. Remember when he did the Shraad thing saying that his son Prem was dead (when Prem and Ash were getting married and Prem was walking out with Heer and her sister.)

No parent will wish their child to be dead even when the child does the worst thing ever expected. It is his way or the "get out of my house". He never apologized to anyone for his actions when he accepted Heer. He is a bloody egoistic and errogant old man.
