CHAPTER 3

Wondering who was at the door at this hour and specially when nobody except she was home, Heer rushed to open the door laying Suhani on the sofa. She opened the door only to find nothing.Wondering what had actually caused the doorbell to ring she walked a little outside and on finding nothing she returned back inside. Locking the door properly she heard Suhani's cries. walking up to her Heer tried to calm her down. Looking at the time she realised it was time for Suhani's milk .

Heer rushed into the kitchen and started heating the milk. As the milk heated up she closed her eyes at the thought of what her life would have been if things had been the way he wanted.. the way she wanted...

" It would have been different Heer.... it would have been different..."

Heer opened her eyes wide only to stop at his piercing eyes. He was standing in the doorway looking at her with a smirk on his face and his eyes glaring at her with hatred, anger, confusion and above all revenge. Her eyes moved from his rugged yet beautiful handsome face down to his long neck. Her eyes took in his manly appearance - his white shirt half untugged in his pants, sleeves rolled upto his elbows and the blue tie -- that she had once presented him with, hung loosely around his neck...

Heer closed her eyes and turned around thinking that she was imagining him.

Opening her eyes and taking a deep breath Heer picked up the hot milk vessel and turned around only to bump into him and the whole milk falling on the floor. Heer looked up and realised....

" You are not imaginig Heer.. i am right here..."

Heer's breath stopped as his eyes peirced into hers....

"Pre-- Pre-- Prem??..."

" hmmmm.. Seems like you still remember my name... Good!!Infact Excellent! That's going to make thinks a lot easy for us wont it Heer??"

Heer dint miss the sarcasam in his voice. She turned around and closed her eyes

" Why are you here Mr. Juneja.."

That did it!!! Prem turned her around with a jerk and pulled her closer to him. Heer opened her eyes in shock as Prem's fingers gripped her arms and his face came closer to hers. Looking into his eyes, Heer could see the anger flashing through them and Heer realised that he was drunk -- not much but yes he was.Heer struggled to get out of his grip as he kept increasing his grip on her...

" Prem STOP IT!!! You are hurting me..."

" Hurting you????? Does it hurt you when i touch you...What will happen to you when i kiss you???.. what will you do when i force you to sleep with me Ms Maan?????"
