CHAPTER 1

After questioning herself this now a thousand times, she looked around the Conventional Hall trying to find some answers. Being a party in the " AMBALA'S Annual Business Meet" wasnt her idea of spending time actually. Looking around , her eyes caught Sanjana's who winked at her. Standing admist a group of men, dressed in a mini-denim skirt and a body hugging, deepcut tshirt, her elder cousin sister left all men wanting her. Though she felt embarrased by the behaviour of Sanjana but she knew better not to voice her opinion..

She moved her eyes from Sanjana to her chachi - Daljeet Maan. Daljeet stared at her beautiful daughter in awe but as she caught her eyes on her herself she turned back disapprovingly. Feeling slightly depressed after Daljeet's indirect rebuke, she found herself looking at Balwant -- her chacha. She was by far most attached to him.After her parents death he had been her support system when she had been blamed, insulted and rebuked by most people in Ambala. He loved her probably more than he loved his own daughter. Thinking about him bought a smile on her face..

"HEER"

She turned around at the mention of her name to look at her fiance --- Manmeet. Standing tall, goodlooking, Manmeet was Balwant's choice. Having made his name for his shrewd Business tactics Manmeet had fell in love with her and had asked her hand for marriage. Though she wasn't quite sure about the proposal. She had agreed for Balwant's sake.

" Come......I need to introduce you to my colleagues "

Heer got up from the chair and adjusted the pallu of her pink saree. She put her hands in Manmeets and they walked to where his associates were standing.After introducing her, Manmeet became busy with and Heer was left to stand with the ladies. She answered questions directed at her shyly. Though she smiled but her eyes reflected pain.. which went unnoticed by everyone present.

"AMBALA's Annual Business Meet" and all his parents were asking him was look to at girls in the hall. He cast his glance here and there ---- girls dressed in skimpy outfits dint impress him. They had never and he knew they will never. Before choosing such a girl he would suicide?

He had always had an image of a girl in his mind. A simple yet beautiful girl was his dream. She would have love filled eyes and she would only belong to him by mind, body and soul. Prem looked up to see Preet with a glint in his eyes. Convincing him to enjoy the party Preet walked Prem to the bar -- Prem's intention to talk to a forthcoming business man and Preet's -- to flirt with a hot chick he had just spotted.Both the brothers walked in a fast stride --- Suddenly Prem bumped into a girl resulting in her drink to fall and her landing safely in his arms.

Prem looked at the girl who had her eyes shut as she holded on to him tightly as if her whole life depended on him..

Heer opened her eyes to look at the stranger holding her , saving her from falling. Why had she been in such a hurry to not notice where she was walking??Cursing herself she opened her eyes to feel the man's intense gaze on her. As she lowered her eyes the man lifted her slowly but his hands remained on her waist.

Mustering up all her courage , she looked up at him..His intense yet lovable eyes pore deeply into hers. His face radiated a healthy glow with a cute smile playing on his lips. Heer glanced down again trying to detach herself from his piercing gaze..

" I'm Sorry.......I dint see you.."

"Its ok!!"

Getting a satisfactory answer from him Heer turned around swiftly. As she walked to her table she closed her eyes. She had wanted to run away from him. Being in his arms had made her feel different and special at the same time. She knew if she wanted she could have stayed there for a little longer but then she would have lost herself in him!!!
