An intense love saga from Aroona Irani's stable

Varun Badola, Sangeeta Ghosh and Nikhil Arya in Zee TV's 'Rabba Ishq Na Hove'. NEW DELHI: It promises not to be another archetypal love story on the small screen. "Rabba Ishq Na Hove", that will be aired on Zee TV from this Tuesday, is an intense love saga produced by veteran Hindi film actress Aroona Irani. Speaking about her new serial at a press conference here in the Capital this past week, Aroona -- who has given hit serials like "Tum Bin Jaoon Kahaan" and "Mehendi Tere Naame Ki" -- said: "The storyline of the serial is that love is not a game. One cannot play with someone's life. The serial does not show love in a trivial manner." Aroona, who is now touching 60 and has not signed any Bollywood project in the past five years, has given her personal touch to the serial. The songs have been shot in such a way that they have an uncanny resemblance to the silver screen. Dismissing questions about vulgarity in her serial, Aroona said: "If you go to see a film in a theatre you known beforehand about the adult scenes. But on the small screen you do not know what will happen next. Therefore, I have seen to it that are no vulgar scenes in the serial as I wanted the entire family to watch it." Talking about Sangeeta Ghosh, around whom the serial revolves, Aroona said she shared great camaraderie with her. "She is a splendid actress and perfectionist to the core. During the shooting, Sangeeta made my task easier by selecting suitable jewellery, accessories and dresses. Moreover, she is a punctual girl. That is why I have repeated her in this serial. I am playing the part of her mother while Kiran Kumar will be playing her father."

Speaking about her role, Sangeeta said she was portraying the character of a savvy, cosmopolitan girl who is self-respecting and practical. Newcomer Nikhil Arya said Aroona was a very passionate director who saw to it that every detail was taken care of before every shoot. The serial also stars Varun Badola.
