Anyways, sorry don't want to give you hindi-experts a headache now with my broken hindi😆 and will go straight to the point.
I am obviously still not comfortable with speaking hindi and make mistakes! The tenses are SO confusing!! But I will get there eventually hopefully. However, I feel comfortable understanding hindi now and don't have to ask someone for a translation every 5 minutes haha. This has meant that I have understood the jlz episodes while watching it with Ben and I have to say I may actually be getting slightly hooked to it myself?
I just want to share two scenes that I thought were one of the most romantic scenes I have ever witnessed on celluloid in any language or genre:
DV giving his debit/credit card to Saachi. I just thought the idea of everything is 'ours' in a relationship, that DV was trying to get across is so heartwarming. That really doesn't happen in countries like UK - people fend for themselves solely. Yeah couples may have a joint account but even that, both have to sponsor equally you know? This gesture by DV placed love above money and that's what love should be. I am very practical and understand the importance of money, but it cannot be placed above love and family. I just really appreciated the simplicity of the gesture by DV yet also the complexity of Saachi's sentiments of never having experienced something like it before.
The second scene was the scene from today where DV applies cream on Saachi's splintered feet. Again, a very simply enacted scene that conveyed so much to me. The delicate way in which DV treated Saachi in this entire sequence was so cute! Caressing her hair, kissing her forehead and then applying the cream. Moreover, there was something captivating that it was to Saachi's FEET that DV was applying this cream- this to me exuded respect and equality in their relationship.
I just want to finish by saying that the way in which DV supports, loves, respects, pampers and understands his girl is what makes him the guy every girl dreams of! Of course his charm, good looks, sense of humour, liveliness and loving heart towards everyone helps too 😉
I have been wanting to make a post to contribute to forum ranking and I wanted to share my appreciation for the lovely scenes.
