I can't even call this the cliched sacrificing TV soap heroine character...I dunno what it is...Sangeeta's acting maybe...but somehow even Saachi's sacrificing mode isn't completely typical in my opinion...there is a kind of pathos in her sacrifice also that makes you feel sorry for her...this woman who has NO thought for herself...what is she made of...and then there is the man who loves her...who only thinks about her, for her...even as she lashes out at him in hurt, he sees beyond the harsh words to the broken soul within and only wants to nurture THAT...what a pair these two are.
This pretty much jumped out at me from the page as I was skimming through posts...
SO beautifully put, Anu! 👏 👏 👏
Massive WORD to all of it, truly!
Kis mitti ki bani hai? *sigh* That applies to both of these characters, and I think there's a beautiful, believable, relatable core to Sangeeta's portrayal of Saachi that makes the charm and immense maturity in Ruslaan's portrayal of DV so wonderfully complementary and even augments it.
It's so sad to think that such a broken soul could exist for so many years, not wanting anything or expecting anything for herself...And then when she unexpectedly comes across this man who, from the very beginning, has cared for her opinions and has cared about her well-being and happiness...giving in to the notion that there could ever be someone like that, who loves her purely because of who SHE is, who wants her to live for herself just a little, is something she has never been faced with...And the man who has always, subconsciously or not, taken it upon himself to bring happiness into her life, even when she has pushed him away...He has seen her fighting her heart's desires before, he has seen her fight and surrender...and no matter how many times she lashes out at him, he continues to stand strong for her, because he loves her...Because who else does she have to turn to for the solace and healing and happiness that she needs and deserves, really?
