Hooray for an extremely sad episode to start off the week! 💔 Thankfully, there were moments that made me smile for a few seconds every now and then, but the overall mood was quite depressing. And yet...I enjoyed it. Most of it. Enough to write quite a lot more than I'd expected...

- The episode opens with DV looking over at Saachi, who has tears beginning to trail down her cheeks. She runs off, and I'm remembering the way DV asked her, on that Diwali night, "Nahi chilla sakti naa aap? Mujhe pit-ta nahi dekh sakti na?" Saachi is stuck in a very difficult position, between people she respects and loves...On one side is the family she has lived for and lived with for so many years...On the other side is the man who gifted her smiles, laughter, support, and strength...She doesn't have the heart to go against her family's wishes, but at the same time it's breaking her heart to see DV like this, being yelled at by Aaji, who asks him if he's not ashamed to say that Saachi loves him...as if DV is making up a lie, as if Saachi's feelings aren't genuine, as if Saachi has no say in this because, apparently, what Saachi feels for DV isn't love - it can't be. Aaji didn't even let Saachi finish her sentence when she had tried to tell Aaji-Naani that she loves DV...and now this, when DV stands up for himself, for Saachi, and for their relationship.

- Ah, Dils and Aadu, the only two people who seem to really care about DV/Saachi's happiness and hurt right now. DV wasn't going to budge from that spot, I bet, but Dils had enough, first witnessing DV's determination to stand outside of Prabhu Niwas and then seeing how his attempt to appeal to Aaji wasn't going to go anywhere...I love how she firmly takes his arm and drags him out of the house even though he clearly is upset about the way things shaped up. Aadu's apology to Saachi was sweet and it reminded me of the time Aadu was the one to tell her, "You always tell us to share our thoughts with you, but when it comes to yourself, you close up and don't share anything." I'm glad Aadu has enough sensitivity to care for what his beloved Tai is going through! The other sibling isn't even worth mentioning. What a contrast between those two younger ones, though.

- I don't know how many times my heart is going to break before the MahaMilan episode. It shattered quite a few times last week because of both Sangeeta and Ruslaan...and the tallying continues. The scene in Saachi's room, for example. Even before Aadu came inside, my heart had gone out to Saachi because, thanks to Sangeeta and her skill with subtle expressions, I could sense how much pain Saachi is in - and that continued through this scene and all throughout the next. Saachi half collapses, half throws herself down onto her bed and cries...She remembers those early days of gifted smiles, peaceful times, unexpected laughter, and the way he made a place for himself in the hearts of the Prabhu family...I love the way Saachi appears to calm down a bit as she remembers DV's smiling face...and then as soon as she remembers his first impulsive confession in the rain, those three earnest words make her squeeze her eyes shut as a new wave of pain seems to ripple through her and a single tear drops onto her hand.

- Aadu enters and Saachi immediately tries to pull herself together for his sake. She is concerned about him and for a little while, when she's asking Aadu what's wrong, it seems like she possibly doesn't think that Aadu could be asking her to forgive him for not understanding what she's going through. She tries to be the concerned, maternal elder sister for him, tucking her own pain away behind a mask of happiness with a smile...except it doesn't quite work this time. The smile doesn't reach her eyes, and there are tears escaping from those sad eyes despite her best efforts to wipe them away. When Aadu begins to talk about the depth of DV's feelings for her, Saachi's expression crumples again, a smile turns into an attempt to hold back a sob. "Hum theek hai. Sach mein, hum...hum theek hai. We're okay!" Trying to reassure Aadu or yourself, Saachi? Trying to put on a brave face for Aadu's sake and brush her own heartaches aside, as usual...but it's harder this time, because Aadu can see through her facade now and he knows that she's not okay, that DV is not okay.

- Terrace scene! The writers give us all these amazing scenes on the terrace with beautiful, heartfelt dialogues and the superlative acting blows me away every single time! Saachi stops, mid-complaint, as soon as her eyes fall on DV. I love the cinematography of this scene, as simple as it may seem. It captures all of those tiny nuances in Sangeeta-Ruslaan's body language that make this scene so poignant as a silent conversation between two people who aren't even speaking to each other directly. And how BRILLIANT were these two in this scene?! Saachi literally freezes for a moment when she sees DV there, looking at her with those soulful, plaintive eyes of his...She averts her eyes and tries to run away like she usually does, but this time it's Aadu who stops her and gets her to stay back while he speaks. And then DV takes over, talking to Aadu but indirectly telling Saachi, yet again, that he isn't going to leave her or steal her away from her family. He uses "hum" a lot in this monologue - reassurances to Saachi that even though she returned that ring, he still thinks of them as one...She still holds that place in his heart, and no one else will.

- "Your tai deserves better..." I just can't get over the way they look at each other here! Saachi especially. DV's sincerity and the depth of his respect and love for Saachi continues to shine in his eyes like a beacon in the dark night...Ruslaan's dialogue delivery is fantastic! 👏 He does complete justice to Ms. Naresh's lovely lines and infuses them with that mature sensitivity that always leaves me speechless and in amazement at how much DV loves Saachi. There is a calm conviction in his demeanor, a maturity in him that has come to the fore so nicely as DV has grown and developed. And Sangeeta. If Ruslaan gets poignant dialogues and delivers them to perfection, Sangeeta doesn't need dialogues to get Saachi's feelings across. The way Saachi looks at DV here...There's the tiniest hint of a smile, so tiny that I almost missed it...There's a softness in her expression as she gazes at him...Subtle but so, so powerful! 👏

- And here...DV is weaving dreams with his words...dreams that Saachi had begun to weave for the two of them before she was pulled down to the ground by the shackles bound by society and family...Love how DV smilingly tells Aadu his grand plans for marrying Saachi, and she just keeps looking at him...Awestruck wonder mixed with yearning.

- This entire line..."What say?" Awww, DV. DV's Saachi Ji is definitely not an "aisi waisi ladki." For all the things she has faced in her life, she does not deserve to be married off to just anyone, dumped onto someone's doorstep because she made the "mistake" of falling in love with a man who makes her laugh and tries to make her smile even when she is on the verge of crying for something she desperately wants but thinks she can't have...Ironically, sending off Saachi "aise waise, jaise taise..." is exactly what the "tradition-bound elders" are doing with this new "rishta." Interesting contrast. Saachi's happiness lies with someone who truly understands her, respects her, and will go to any lengths to bring a smile to her face, no matter how many times she tries to put distance between them. The people distancing themselves from Saachi, who view her as a liability now that she has made a "mistake," are the ones she feels a sense of duty towards.

- Their faces! 💔 💔 💔 Saachi has been gazing at DV wistfully up until this point...and it's now that she finally takes a few shuddering breaths, reorients herself with the reality of the situation that they are in, and comes crashing down to the ground again. In other circumstances, DV would have been smiling happily at her, and she would have been just as happy...Happily tearful, even, perhaps. But sadly, that is not the case. DV's painfully sad, compassionate eyes, his way of not breaking eye contact as if he wants to share and eliminate all of the pain these emotional burdens are causing her...the way Saachi averts her eyes, can't help but bring them up to DV's face again, and then gives him a miserable look of desperately helpless frustration before bolting from the terrace...Absolutely heartbreaking, but seriously, how does Sangeeta do this?! How does Ruslaan do this? I feel so bad for BOTH Saachi and DV! *in awe*

- "Please...please mujhe maaf kar dijiye?" Inadvertently shed a few tears during this scene because of Sangeeta's voice modulation...The tremble in her voice as she speaks, almost as if she's trying to hold back tears..."Sorry, Aaji! I'm sorry, na, Aaji? Aaji...please? Please, Aaji? Please?" Painful, painful reminder of all those lovely, sweet Aaji-Saachi scenes from the first month of the show, when Aaji wanted nothing more than for Saachi to live her life to the fullest with someone who loves her. Super painful reminder of the scene where Aaji advises Saachi about how one should drive away the darkness of night with the aid of good memories...and Saachi tells Aaji, "Abhi mere Aaji ke godh hai mere paas..."

- The way Saachi reacts to the idea of her getting married to repent for her mistake...She can barely speak at first...then the shock hits her for a brief moment...and then she quickly composes herself and soldiers on, acquiescing for Aaji's sake even though her own heart isn't in it. "Agar shaadi karne se prayashchit hota hai...toh main tayyar hoon." The tremor in her voice and her expressions, both before the "Coming Up" preview and after the scene continues...And the tears! Again the tears! 💔 Do these people not care about Saachi at all?! Can they not see how unhappy she is? If she does what they want, they're fine. Otherwise, they take her for granted or treat her like a juvenile delinquent...Or they just ignore her.

- God bless Naani, though! I feel so, so bad for Naani! Aaji pulled the rug out from under Naani's feet today, and of course it is Saachi who goes to console her Naani. Ever the supportive one, the shoulder to cry on..."Kuch bhi karoongi...shaadi bhi karoongi. Nahi, nahi! Apni marzi se kar rahi hoon, Naani! Sach mein! Sach...Apni marzi se main yeh shaadi kar rahi hoon. Sab...sab theek ho jaayega..." 💔 The emphasis on that one word...meaning..."I'll even get married to someone I don't love, someone I don't know...if it makes everything okay again." The rest of the Prabhu household might have been okay with this earlier (maybe...ugh), but now that Aadu and Naani know about the extent of DV's love for Saachi, everything won't be okay even if this mismatched, hastily-found proposal does go through.

- Asides: Boo to the sari mannequin, yay to Deepali! That is all I have to say.

- Precap: Another type of intensity is going to be showcased...anguished, heartbreaking intensity. *sigh* They knocked the confrontation scene out of the park, I bet. Excited to see what happens after that!

Oooh you finally updated! Arey bataa diya karo yaar...I didn't know when you updated the post😆

LOVE the analysis as always...description in bold being my fav.👏👏👏

Yes, it's that bit in the end...when he just stops talking...and all that while Saachi had been looking at him in yearning, all wistful as he talks about her, them together...and then when he just stops and can't help but look back at her with all that same yearning and wistfulness that she feels...THAT is the moment your heart breaks the most for both of them...and that is the moment that it all becomes too much for Saachi and the spell breaks and she has to pull herself back from the world of dreams he'd pulled her into yet again...and I love how DV understands even as she runs away...and he talks to Aadu instead...

I totally agree...TV soap ki heroines are usually shown to be this mahaan kinds..which irritates the viewers... but here I can't help but feel bad for saachi...it is totally due to sangeeta's acting...she portrays the helpless saachi so well that one can't help but feel bad for her..it's not like she's not being insensitive towards DV...she is but when she does that...u can see in her eyes what he means to her and how much it's killing her inside ...I really feel bad for both of them!

hope to see their smiling faces back by the weekend 😆

LOL I guess smiling faces and romance will both be back in Ram-Priya ki partayyy😆...I still don't get how everything will be resolved so quickly that they can just head off to Mumbai but whatever😆

I read the article about the two shows together. lol sounds quite meh and i bet it will be filled with BALH more than Saachi-DV and Ram-Priya giving their LOWE advice to the former two. 😆

I liked yesterdays episode because for me they finally showed some thing that I was badly missing .

They had shown what attracted DV to Saachi and made him fall in love with her , but they never showed Saachi's side . They showed her progression from not liking him to being friends and her dependence on him for helping her with the case etc , but not I was missing the step where her feelings changed from friendship to love. And yesterday they showed it , when Sacchi was crying in her bed remembering her moments with DV she thought about the small gestures that had touched her heart and made her love him .. again the CV's did a fabulous job with this scene and the FB scene they picked.

One things that sets this serial apart of that they don't give us their interpretation of the scene and have established the characters and then they let us think/discuss and give our own meaning . This serial is getting even better day by day , if that was possible.

LOL, sorry, sorry! 😆 I'll let you know next time - I didn't want to leave a random one-line post in here since I finished updating quite late.

Awww! Thank you so much, Anu! Your original post was fabulous as usual...and I LOVE this additional paragraph you've added here to elaborate on that key moment at the end of the terrace scene! 💔 👏 👏 👏 The reflection of wistfulness in both of their eyes as they look at each other...It was beautiful but so, so sad! Ah, yes, and DV's understanding...His threshold of patience and tolerance is so high...but even he has a breaking point...*cue today's episode!*
