hey tina I'm back!! sheesh! I lost my net connection thanks to my friend who misplaced my net setter (data card)
Right now I'm in a net cafe replying ya.. :) congo for for being Jeele zara of the week..

here's an update.. after ages...

I apologise to all my lovely readers for the delay, update is typed out but like I said I lost my data card.. so yeah.. I hope u guys understand. It will take more time,. a week more to get back new sim/new data card.. so till then hoping for the best!

Part six: Escape

The same night 2am:

Sachi groaned answering DV's call.

"Hello.."

"Hello sweetheart! So you're ready for our date tomorrow?"

"DV.. are you mad? Just lemme sleep. We'll talk about it tomorrow.."

"But you promised.."

"Good night DV..."

"Good night honey."

5AM, Sachi's room:

"Taai wake up!!"

Sachi groaned again. She glanced at Adu through her groggy eyes asking him to get off.

"kya hai Adu.. sone do na mujhe!"

"Taai.. aap so gayi na, DV mera band bajadega! Utho Taai..aap dono k pyaar k chakkar mei meri neend kharab ho rahi hai!"

"Kya DV ne.."

"haan woh kahi le jaane ki baat kar raha tha.."

"kya subah paanch baje? Kaha?"

"ohho Taai.. mujhe kya patha? Jaldi tayyar hojayiye aur dus minute mein neeche ajayiye!"

Ten minutes later...

Sachi finally woke up and marched downstairs, followed by Adu behind. Stepping into the garden she came face to face with DV who was flanked by Dilz.

"DV.." Sachi began weakly.

"Good morning.." DV gave his best smile.

"kya hai yeh.. kya bachpana hai DV? Subah paanch baje? Raat ko woh dance aur ab.. meri neend kharab kardoge kya?"

"aadat daal lo aap. Abhi aur bhi raatein aise kaatne padenge.."

"DV tum bhi na.." she managed to reply weakly while trying hard not to blush.

"Aap ki raaton ka neend udaadunga main.."

She rolled her eyes and a small laugh escaped her mouth.

"Sochlijiye..ek bhiraat thik se sone nahi dunga aapko main. Samajh rahi hai na aap main kya keh raha hu.." her eyes widened a bit in surprise at his words.

He just smiled. She was embarrassed as Dilz and Adu were standing close.

"Stop it DV! Shut up..kuch bhi bolte rehte ho. Ab jaao aur jaake so jaao.."

"What? So jaao... no way Sachi ji! Aap tayyar kyu nahi hui? Jayiye! Jaldi tayyar hojayiye. We should move in ten minutes.."

"But jaa kaha rahe hai hum?"

"bhoolgayi.. kal hi tho wada kiya tha ki aap date pe chalengi! Subhah hote hi bhoolgayi?"

"Haan par Aaji naani ko kya bataungi..pehle unhe manaao. Fir date pe jayenge!"

"Aap ne wada kiya hai, mukhar nahi sakti aap.."

"Par subah 5 am. Koi date pe jaata hai kya?"

"hmm nahi. Kya karein! Chori chupe sab se bach k jaana hai tho jaldi nikalna padega.. tayyar hojao na please!"

Sachi was lost in thoughts when Adu piped in.

"Taai.. please aap log jaao. Hum manage karlenge na.. "Adu assured her.

"Par..." Sachi hesitated.

"aaj agar Nahi gayi na, tho fir se yeh DV mera neend kharab kardega. Just go Taai. Taai college mei bohot kuch karna hai mujhe! Main thik se so nahi paunga tho mere exams kaise likhunga.. kaise karpaunga woh saare kaam?" Adu requested her sleepily,

"Aduu.. Dilz tum yaha kya kar rahi ho!! Aap dono jaao aur so jaao.. " Sachi tried to divert the topic.

"Kya karu Saachi, yeh DV ne mujhe teen baje jagaadiya!"Dilz replied glaring at DV.

"Kya.." Sachi was amused while DV smiled.

"haan.. ussey mental support chahiye tha na, date pe jaane k liye!" Dilz was super angry.

Sachi just laughed.

"Arey tum log pyar karo, shaadi karo, kuch bhi karo yar! Humari neend kyu kharab karte ho?"

"DV tumne Dilz ko aur Adu ko,."

"Woh main suggestion le raha tha Dilz se, ki aap ko kya pasand hai aur kya nahi. Aakhir humari pehli date hai, it must be perfect one na.."

"DV tum na..paagal ho! You're mad!" Saachi laughed grinning happily.

"haan tho chalei?"

"OK.. I'll come down in five minutes.." she gave him a smile and went inside.

DV just grinned.

5:15AM:

Sachi came down after taking a quick shower and wearing a random salwar that she found at her first glance.

DV was ready to move. He was dressed in his casual jeans and white shirt with Dilz and Adu by his side.

"yeh cycle?? Tum mujhe cycle pe bithaake lejaoge?" Sachi dint know what to say when DV started to bring Adu's cycle.

"hmm.. ab aap k liye aeroplane launga tho sab jaag jayengena.." DV replied with a smile.

" par hum shersingh ko.." she was stunned to see her jeep was missing.

"shersingh thodi duri pe humara wait kar raha hai tho chale?" DV asked.

"Par aaji naani ko main..." Sachi hesitated but Adu pushed her.

"Taai hum hai na, we'll manage..just go Taai! Ab aap nikloge tho main darwaza band karke so jaunga.." Adu pleased her.

"OK.."

Sachi sat on the cycle seat feeling a little uncomfortable, DV was right behind her and they were off.

"kaha hai shersingh?" she asked after a few minutes enjoying the cycle ride.

The fragrance from the freshly grown grass mixed with his perfume, the light winds made her elated. He too was enjoying the ride.

"sheher k bahar.. till then enjoy the bicycle ride! Wohooo!!" he shouted in excitement resting his head on her shoulder bringing himself close to her.

"DV tum bhi na.." she laughed again.

"hmm philhaal k liye yahi humara long drive hoga. Long drive pe chal, long drive pe chal mere naa lsoniye ni mere naal soniye.." he began singing the song as she laughed. He laughed too joining her.

The ride went on. She sighed.

"Kyu aap ko maza nahi aaraha hai?" he asked her curiously.

"DV mujhe neend aa rahi hai.." she lied trying to tease him.

"neend aarahi hai? Joot bolti hai aap.. aap ko agar neend aati na, tho ithni khush nahi hoti aap aur naa hi aap ka chehra iss tara laal hotaa.."

"Laal hogaya mera chehra? Woh thand bohot hai na, isliye hua hoga.."

"thand bohot hai isliye ya.. main aap k kareeb hu isliye?" he teased her.

"DV tum bhi na.." came her casual reply as she bit her lip smiling a little.

"aap ka yeh laal rang tho mere hosh hi udaa deti hai.." he laughed.

She blushed a little laughing at his remarks.

"shut up DV.. tum paagal ho! Pure paagal..pata nahi kaise pyar hogaya mujhe tumse!"

"Aapko patha nahikaise?" he released his grip on one of the handles to hug her from behind.

"DV! What are you doing! Chodo mujhe.. thik se chalaao. Giraa doge kya??"

"bataao na.. hum aagaye shersingh k paas! Chalo tum hi drive karo.."

He pulled the cycle to a stop, lifted and placed it in shersingh which was parked on the side road.

"my pleasure.."

And they drove off.

6:15 AM Mount Nazim

Sachi and DV reached this beautiful hill station close to Panchgani. It was nearly an hour long journey and it was the best one they ever experienced.

He slipped his hand in hers and together hand in hand, they walked up to see the sunrise from the top railing, after parking their jeep.

"DV..yeh jagah.. Main yaha pe kabhi nahi aayi. Ithne saal se yaha thi aur- Yeh jagah zyada dur nahi par.. maine kabhi, patha nahi kyu nahi aayi yaha!" she remarked observing her surroundings.

"yaha se pura sheher ka nazara dikhta hai." He asked her to look down.

She was mesmerized to see the beautiful town of Panchgani looking like a puzzle game, smeared with greenery, the small houses looking like fitting pieces in a scenic puzzle spread out at the foot of Mount Nazim.

"aur subah ka nazara aur bhi khubsurat.." he was waiting for the sun to rise from among the chain of mountains spread across them at a distance.

"Waha dekhiye.."

"Such a beautiful sunrise.. aisa lagta hai, duniya mein nayi roshni bhargayi. Kitna khubsurat hai na.. ithna khubsurat nazaara maine kahi nahi dekha . DV..."

She turned look at him and smiled. He was mesmerized completely taking in her beautiful face that shone in the sunlight.

"Haan.. maine bhi nahi dekha. ." he confessed looking into her eyes.

"sach mei bohot khubsurat hai.."

He tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and she looked down smiling at his compliment.

"mujhe kyu dekh rahe ho.. waha ka nazara dekho!" she reminded him with a slight smile.

"Tere chehre se tere chehre se nazar nahi hat-thi nazaare hum kya dekhein.. nazaare hum kya dekhien.."

He sang while hugging her from behind. She titled her head to look at his face and time froze. It was their moment, both were completely lost in their own paradise and thankfully no Ulka kaku was around to break it.

"subah subah bohot romantic mood mei ho.."

"subah tho kya.. main raat, din, dopehar, har waqt wohi mood mei rehtahu,.." he joked and she laughed.

She dint know why she was laughing just whatever he said made her to blush or laugh.

"DV.. yaha aake sach mein. Kitna accha lag rahahai.."

He was glad she was opening up sharing her feelings this way.

" I wish yeh pal yahi tham jaaye.. tumhare saat.." she looked away blushing a little.

He made her look at him holding her chin. He was lost once again looking at her. She closed her eyes as he leaned closer. Their noses touched. He was about to move further up close when she opened her eyes. She quickly placed her finger over his lips stopping him. He came back to his senses thanks to her and placed a loving kiss over her forehead. It took few moments for her to get her breathing back to normal.

"I'm sorry. I dint want want to make you feel uncomfortable.."

He tried to get her to talking after their almost kiss. She looked away but thankfully was still in his arms.

"Ab kya karu.. mujhse control hi nahi hota na.."

"hmm aaj kal bohot hi out of control ho rahe ho tum DV!"

She glared at him lightly.

"Kya karu.. aap ithni khubsurat lagti hai har waqt ki mujhe aap se duur raha nahi jaata.." he flashed his smile.

"But don't worry. I know tumhe kaise dobara control mei kaise laana hai DV.."

"ummhmm.."

"hmm.."

"Aapko tho sab aata hai teacher ji.."

And they broke into fits of laughter. He hugged her again.

"Achha tho chalein?" she asked parting from him.

"Kaha?"

"ghar.."

"Kya? Abhi se? saach ji aapko kya lagta hai? Bas yahi plan kiya hai maine aap k liye? Abhi bohot kuch hai.."

"kaha leke jaa rahe ho.."

They took a few steps from the sunrise spot and entered into what looked like a small restaurant. It was a cosy little space, its insides glowing like gold in the candle light.

"this is beautiful DV!" she cooed and almost jumped.

His happiness knew no bounds as he watched her smile. This is what he wanted to see on her face.

"yaha koi nahi hai DV.." she noticed with a frown.

"hum khaana kaha khayenge? Kaun serve karega?" she asked him.

"khaana hum hi banayenge.. aur hum hi serve karenge! Lekin pehle coffee.. tho kitchen mei chalein?"

"kya par iss ke owners.."

"permission liya hai maine unse!"

"kya.. kaise.."

"Actually woh.. I paid for it!"

She was touched. Tears formed in her eyes but she smiled.

"tumhare dad k saare paise mujhpe kharch karoge kya?"

"yeh aap k liye nahi, humare liye kharch kiya hai.." he smiled.

"aur aapko kya lagta hai? Main yeh sab afford nahi kar sakta aap k liye.. yeh mere khud k savings k paise hai madam!"

"DV.. par iss sab ki kya zarurat hai? Ithne paise! Aur kal ko bhi tum ne kaha ki arrangements ki hai.. matlab tum.. "

"arey yar! Ab mujhe budget ki classes sunaayengi kya? Aaj humari date hai tho hum sirf pyaar ki batein karenge!"

She laughed in return and he hugged her again.

"coffee banaaye.."

"yeah let's go"

6:50 Am, in the kitchen:

"DV leave..chodo mujhe! Aise hug karoge tho coffee kaise bangega? Keep 10 feet distance.." she pushed him away.

He obeyed and stood in the doorway admiring her work.

"you know what.."

"hmm.." she nodded while making coffee.

"aise hi work karogi aap mere kitchen mei. Shaadi k baad, n aise hi tang karunga main aapko.."

"hmm, here I was thinking ki tum meri madad karoge!"

"arey subah ko nahi baba! Subah help karunga tho kaise dekhunga aapko dhang se.."

She ignored that remark.

"coffee bangaya.."

They walked back to sunrise spot with coffee mugs in hands. She was admiring the view when her hugged her again.

"DV.."

"hug karthe hue coffee tho pee sakta hu na.."

She shook her head smiling as they drank the rest of their coffee in silence admiring the sunrise while being in each other's arms.

And the day just began.

Part seven: Tangled

Sachi, DV finished their coffee. Placing their cups in the kitchen they ventured out into the surrounding woods for a walk. She had her fingers entwined around his, hand in hand as they walked.

Suddenly he stopped walking and tugged at her hand.

"What happened?"

"Nothing..."

And he lifted her up in his arms in bridal style. She shrieked in surprise.

"DV.. put me down. Kya kar rahe ho?"

"We're going to a place that's meant for us. Just wait and see.."

"Lekin aise? God mei uthaake?"

"hmm.. aise hi uthaake sab se churaake le jaana hai ek din. Adat daal lena aap.."

"DV..."

"shh..."

He shushed her and carried her to a small clearing close to the hill. The place was scenic, looking absolutely beautiful with small waterfalls tumbling down the heights. There on the huge rocks adjoining the falls were several names engraved in heart shaped designs.

"DV.. yeh jagah! How come did I ever come here before?" she wondered after absorbing the beauty surrounding her.

"woh isliye kyu ki aap ne kabhi pyar nahi kiya kisi se. Right?"

"DV.."

"yeh lovers-spot hai madam! Panchgani aate waqt raaste mei yeh mujhe mila. Aur tabhi maine sochliya ki jab mujhe meri special ladki miljayegi- usse aise hi apni baahon mei uthaakar yaha le aaunga. Aur inn pathharo pe apna aur uska naam likhunga.."

"Paagal ho! Purey paagal.." she laughed.

He laughed too. Her laugh was contagious.

"sab aap hi k pyaar ka asar hai ji. Chalo Humara naam likhte hai..."

She stood up as he gently put her on the ground.

"but DV. Yeh sab.. kaise likhenge hum.."

"Aise!" he picked up a stone from around and began engraving their names. He drew a heart shape around their names and read it aloud.

"DV-Saachi-pyaar forever!"

He beamed widely hugging her and admiring his work. She slapped his arm while being in his hug looking at their names.

"Ab ek snap ki baari hai.." he picked out his mobile and clicked a photo. He then took a snap of them together smiling at the camera.

He was thankful that she agreed for taking out a snap after persuading so much.

They walked back to the restaurant where she made sandwiches for him. He made pasta for her. They fed each other and it was time to leave.

"10 AM? Aap ko nahi lagta jaldi ghusar gaye 5 ghante?" he asked with a smile.

"hmm.. yaha se jaane ka mann nahi karta. Par jaana hoga na. office pohochna hai.."

"jaane ka mann nahi hai tho ruk jaate hai.."

"No.."

"ab aap hi kehti ho na dil ki suno. Tho.."

"tho wapis chalo. Chalo naa!"

She dragged him back to their shersingh after he handed over the keys of the restaurant to a concerned person.

"OK bhai.. time to go back!"

He was about to sit in the jeep when she caught his hand.

"kuch kehna tha tum se..."

He nodded asking her to go on.

"kitna kuch plan kiya hai tumne mereliye DV. I feel so special. Ab thanks tho nahi bol sakti tumhe. Par ithna kahungi ki.. kisi ne mujhe ithna special feel nahi karaya. Kisi ne mereliye ithna nahi kiya jo tumne mereliye kiya hai..."

She was staring at her feet but he gently lifted up her face making her to look at him. With his other arm he pulled her into an embrace.

"aap bhi kuch kar sakti hai badle mei..."

"Kya.."

"ithna kuch kiya tho badle mei.. aap bhi kuch de sakti hai!"

"Kya.."

He smiled at her innocence.

"kuch meetha sa, pyara sa, chota sa.. kuch.."

He gently touched her bottom lip with his thumb and she pushed him off.

"chodo.. kya kar rahe ho?"

"Arey ek kiss tho banta hai boss!"

"hato.."

"Nahi.. sirf ek baar huh.."

He pulled her towards him again, leaning forward. Their noses touched again but he backed off suddenly.

"haha! Aap ke chehre ka rang tho dekho- tomato lag rahi hai aap!"

"shut up DV! Aisa Mazak dobara ki naa, tho tumse kabhi baat nahi karungi.."

"Mazak?? Chaliye aaj tho yeh Mazak mein puchliya, kal ko sach mei puchunga aur aap manaa bhi nahi kar sakti.."

She slapped him again and went to sit in her seat. He smiled to himself as he sat down beside her and they drove away.

"yaha roko DV.."

He was surprised when she asked him to stop.

"yaha se main drive karungi. I'm sorry DV mujhe akele jaana hoga. Kisi ne tumhe mere saat dekhliya tho.. sab banne se pehle hi bigad jayega."

He got down reluctantly. It hurt him to see her sad this way.

"don't worry we'll manage. Hum jald hi aaji Nani ko sab kuch bataadenge.. fir hum"

"yeh sahi nahi hai DV.."

"What?"

"bohot galat kar rahe ho tum. Sab ko manage karna kya proud feel hone ki baat hai? Kab tak aaji naani ko manage karoge tum?"

She sounded dead serious. He began to panic.

"tumhare mom dad ko bhi manage karna hai na DV..." she laughed.

He took a deep breath, calming down upon hearing her.

"arey yar- shaitaan hogai hai aap. Daraa diya mujhe..."

"kisi k buri sangat ka asar hogaya hai.."

"you mean me?"

"yes of course. Ab yaha se yeh Adu ka cycle hi tumhara kaam ayega.."

"thank god cycle tho hai at least. Isee se kaam chala lenge. Ab pyaar ko paane k liye na jaane kya kya karna padraha hai.."

"DV.."

"Arey kidding yar. Yaha se sirf 5 km hai Dilz ka ghar. I will manage. You go ahead.. sham ko milte hai.."

He left her with a wink cycling down the road. She waved him bye and zoomed past him with a smile on her face.

1:30pm: Sachi's home:

Sachi rushed home after receiving a call from Nani. She was shocked to know that Rajiv would be coming over for lunch.

"Jaa aur Dilz ko bulaale.. Adu tu bhi jaa!"

1:35 pm Dilz's place:

Sachi and Adu reached Dilz's place and found her smiling as she talked with DV.

"arey aap yaha?" DV greeted them with a smile.

"waha mera band bajraha hai aur yaha tum log gappe mar rahe ho?"

"Kya hua?" Dilz and DV asked in unison.

"Woh Rajiv aanewala hai Taai se milne.. aur Aaji Naani shaadi ki baat karnewale hai."

Adu answered for them. Sachi just glared.

"Bas ithni si baat. Sachi ji.. Iss Rajiv se"

"Sab kuch ek Mazak hai na tumhareliye DV? Kuch bhi keh dete ho! Ab yeh kahoge ki Rajiv ko bhi manage karlenge. Kaise DV. Hum Rajiv ko.."

DV gave a bored expression and glared at her.

"uhh.. tum apni baat pura kar sakte ho.."

"thank you. Kitni baar bola hai aapko mera bhi kuch suna kijiye. Hum Rajiv ko sab sach bataadenge.. sab kuch. Ussey yeh kehdijiye ki aap usse shaadi nahi kar sakte. Ab agey ka plan Rajiv ki madad se hi chalega.."

"tum yahi kehnewale the?"

"haan.. yahi kehnewala tha.."

"sorry.."

She pouted making a childlike face and he pulled her cheeks. Dilz piped in.

"bas bas yeh sorry aur nahi chalega Sachi. Arey ithna bhola-bhala, seedha-saada, cute sa DV- mere best friend jo tumse ithna pyar karta hai. Aur tum ho ki har waqt usse ithna sunaati ho."

"Dilz.. main. Maine sorry bola na.. aur tum! Tum tho meri best friend ho na? Ab isski side leliya tumne?"

"arey hum tho sirf dost hai DV ke, lekin aap tho kuch zyada hi hai.." Dilz teased.

Sachi smiled feeling a little embarrassed.

"Dilz.. ab tum bhi shuru hogai. Meri taang kheechne lag gayi?"

"arey aisa mauka dobara kab milega mujhe Sachi.. ab milgaya tho kheechenge hi!"

"Aur main bhi kheechunga Taai.. aap tho chupa rustum- nahi aap tho ladki hai. Chupa rustum ki female version nikli. Aap aur DV chori chori huh" Adu too teased her.

Dilz Sachi's concersation went on while DV, Adu admired them with a smile.

"Aap jaao aur Rajiv ko sab sach keh do. I'm sure woh humare pyar ko samjhega.. and don't worry. Sari duniya ko harakar hume apne pyar ko jetaayenge hum. Just trust me!" DV assured her cupping her face in her hands and she nodded.

"Par ka tak DV? Ki skis ko manage karenge hum. Tum apni family se baat karo DV jaldi.. I don't know how long I can take this! Agar tum mujhse dur hogaye tho- main khud ko sambhal nahi paungi.. main"

"Main sab se baat karunga. Sab ko manaaunga. Pehle aap Rajiv ko manaao.."

She agreed smiling while looking into his eyes.

"I trust you DV.."

He smiled back. It was like the best thing he ever heard.

"accha Taai. Chalo.. warna Nani ko lagega ki hum sab ithni der kya kar rahe hai yaha! Woh tho main saat aaya warna Taai ko yaha bhejte hi nahi.." Adu interrupted their small moment.

"thanks Adu.." DV thanked him.

"thanks kisliye yar. Muje jab pata chala ki Taai tumse pyar karti hai, tabhi tum mere jiju bangaye. I decided that day itself that you're the one for her. Aur meri taai kabhi galat decisions le hi nahi sakti.. hai na Taai.."

DV and Sachi engulfed him in a friendly hug. Adu, Sachi, Dilz left the house while DV stood thinking.

1:50 PM Prabhu nivas:

Rajiv arrived. Aaji Nani greeted him. He took their blessings and Sachi too got into a friendly chat. Then came the topic of marriage. Sachi became all quiet suddenly and began fidgeting. Rajiv was her friend and always been a family figure. How could she tell him that she couldn't marry him as she loved someone who's younger to her?

How could she in front of Aaji Nani? And where was DV when you need him? shouldn't he be here to support her morally?

Just then DV silently entered the house. He stood leaning against the main door after gently closing it from behind. She looked at him at that moment. Their eyes met and she smiled as her strength returned, thanks to his presence there. Their eyes talked for a moment before Aaji, Nani interrupted them.

"Arey DV puttar! Aao.. aao! Arey Sachi Rajiv chat pe jaake dil ki baat keh do ek dusre se haan.." Nani finished with a smile.

"Rajiv.. main.. main.. iss rishte ki baat ko" Sachi began weakly.

"I hope tumhara rishta uss insaan k saat tay ho jaye. Jisse tum pyar karti ho.."

"Rajiv. How did you"

"Psychiatrist hu main. Padliya tumhara chehra. Sab k saamne tum fake smile tho de rahi thi. Lekin jab DV andar aaya tab woh tumhari smile, tumhari ankhon mei woh glow. Sab kuch bayaan kardiya."

When they went downstairs, the elderly women were elated to hear a yes from him. DV was disappointed but Rajiv came up to hug him.

"All the best dude! You two will look great together.." Rajiv whispered in his ear.

DV was stunned and looked in Sachi's direction who just nodded and smiled. They needed to handle this tangled web of relations with care.
