Aaji , like you said seems to be a little less accepting ... but i doubt Aaji / Naani will be used as the MAJOR faulty cogs to disrupt the smooth turning of the wheels of Ishaq. I think it'll be more in the form of societal pressure. With people like Ulka Kaku etc harping on about how Saanchi is a cougar and all. and I can bet an arm and a half that if and when they show Dhruv's family ... they'll show them as major roadblocks to Dhruv/Sanchi's love story.

hmm.. I agree, they'll probably give in if Saachi insists -- which I think is a major factor because Saachi herself will be one of the hardest oppositions of the 'love story' when it begins... She's will think it's ridiculous as she's falling in love (Hye Sung flashbacks lol.. just may be stronger because of the society). And yeah, of course Dhruv's family. I think he's the only son too.. and is close with his mom. I see major problems 😆. Whether it's hindi or kdramas, mothers supposedly don't want their precious sons marrying older women...

Well I agree that maybe naani will be ok with SaRuv later on but it will take time 4 aaji 2 accept it. And also with Ulka kaku & the society as u said Sanchi will hv a though time even though the age gap won't be an issue 4 DV. And yes like JHS, Sanchi would doubt bout her feelings & would think it's stupid 2 fall in love with a young guy who's completely diff from her.
Coming 2 DV's family, he seems 2 be the only child & really closed 2 his mom, she would probably oppose 2 SaRuv but his dad won't, remember he said dat he is a cool dad, it would be interesting 2 c how his family will also tackle wid this situation...

And like you both mentioned the FIRST roadblock will be in the form of Sanchi's very Jang HyeSung like hesitation. BUT may I mention ... in Korea its perceived as romantic when a younger guy vies for the affections of an older woman but in India its considered ... paap ? Also Sanchi's hesitation might take MUCH MUCH longer than HyeSung's to resolve itself :

1. Because HyeSung is a loud, spunky woman. Heck that mouth of hers can put truck drivers to shame ! 😆 She could care less about what others thought of her relationship status with SooHa whereas Saanchi is a more mellow, graceful, & poised Indian lady. She would think way harder and longer than JHS. JHS's hesitation was out of concern for Park SooHa , that he is only starting his life , he shouldn't get involved with an older woman with a life as complicated as hers or he might not concentrate on his education . JHS wasn't worried about the SOCIETY per say. Hence her confession came as soon as she found out SooHa knew how she felt. But Saanchi is different. She is more likely to try and conform with the societal norms (initially) , until Dhruv convinces her otherwise.

2. HyeSung and Park SooHa go WAY WAYYY back. 10 freaking years. They actually have a history together. Their destinies are irrevocably intertwined .. cuz of Min JoonGuk, so for them to start looking at each other as man and woman once they reach adulthood is nothing surprising. Whereas in Sanchi and Dhruv's case ... Dhruv has JUST arrived in Sanchi's life. They have no turbulent history together that set in motion future alliances & pretty much compels them to fall in place together unlike in JHS & PSH's case.

Can't deny that.. For HS, it was more personal dilemma but for Saachi, she is very aware of society plus she has a younger bro & sis (and how others treat them) to worry about, she will be hesitant for a long time (emphasis on the long). Also because for HS, SooHa was the only 'family' at that point.

@2 But I think, for HS it was may be difficult to see him as a man after the 10 yrs history when Saachi can just see Dhruv as a man from the beginning 😳😆

@Rishani I also hope that Dhruv's dad is as cool as he says.. so at least one less thing to worry about.

Another reason why Sanchi might not want to walk down Love street with DV so easily might be her fear of the repercussions towards her brother and sister. For example is say Prachi was married to Sunil , his family might sunaofy her ke "Eeek your sister is such a cougar !!" or if she still isn't married to him by then, they might actually take this up as an opportunity and call it off altogether , touting her sister's characterlessness as the reason.

And yeah ... in IHYV HyeSung used to refer to SooHa as "Ya, Kkoma-ya !" (Hey, Kiddo !) before meeting him as a grown up but here Sanchi actually does acknowledge Dhruv's being a grown up.

Ughh.. Prachi ka baat toh choro hi.. ami oke ekdom bujhi na! That girl is selfish. I'm telling you.. she will regret marrying Sunil without clarifying what she wants. She wants a career and modern lifestyle while Sunil's family is a lot traditional and he has no intention of giving her an inch. Ok, I'm getting carried away.

Unfortunately, Saachi sees him as grown-up but immature when Soo Ha was more mature than any 19 year old and nobody could deny that.
