Last week many felt that that the suspense element was killed by revealing too much in the SBS special. But have they not been doing this for quite some time now?
Take for instance end of the PIM and divorce track. There was so much publicity about how they were changing the track for the Michians even before the brainless track ended. Then there was an interlude of three weeks when Michians barely got glimpses of their favourite jodi. Just as everything was set for a grand Michi reunion, they threw a bombshell without warning by getting Milsi fly off the cliff, thanks to Ayesha's great driving skills.
When Michians started wailing over the unfairness of it all, they got Shabbo, a guy who hardly gives interviews, to assure his fans that he is coming back. A passing reference was made to the fact that when he returns he will not be the same. Little did the Michians realise that this means he will return without his brains. What started then was pure torture for four months in which the male lead was reduced to a confused imbecile from the Mighty Milind Mishra.
Just when the Michians were about to throw up their hands and give up on this pathetic show, they came back with their tom-toming of the end of this torture. As if to assure us they mean business they even took us to their sets where the entire climax scene was being filmed. The only hitch is we still do not know what the sting in the tail is going to be. Afterall going by their past record, they are super secretive about the negatives while highlighting the positives. Are they not in the business of TRPs. What better way to garner that than by adopting this dual strategy?
