Is KYM given the step-motherly treatment

For some time I have been wondering whether KYM is given the step-motherly treatment by the BT people. Look at what it has:

Non utilisation of the full potential of powerful actors like Shabbo, Sanju, Jay or even Panchi who has shown tremendous improvement of late. Even the senior characters, Prachi Shah and the man who plays Milind father (dont know his name) are good actors. Yet their talents are being underutilised of late.

Limited scope for a good dialogue writer in Dheeraj Sarna. This guy has also not been given the scope to showcase his talent ever since the PA track began. All we have been hearing is "Prachi Itni acchi hai" for weeks on end but Prachi's miseries are never ending.

A screen play writer who also writes for the longest running soap: That guy seems to be racking his brains as to how to introduce the new aka old Tulsi back to her family that he has no time to think of how soon he can end this pathetic track and concentrate on a good script for the show.

Sets which keep changing every three/four months or so: KYM started off in the old sets of KGGK. Then it swapped sets with KGGK apparently to help KGGK to get back its lost trps. Now it has swapped sets with KS (maybe to revive KS's dipping trps). What about the trps of this show?

Replacement of a perfectly good director like Anil V.Kumar with a novice.

Shoddy editors who have only gotten worse by the day.

Axeing of episodes to make room for the more preferred show.

How long do these people expect the show to go on without a proper script, stable sets, sensible writer, soulful dialogues and with insipid performances of bored actors? How long are they hoping to ride the Michi wave, because other than this adorable jodi this show has absolutely nothing going on for it at present.

So a humble request to BT. Kindly wake up and take note of the fact that you do have a late night show which despite all the flaws listed above is doing reasonably well because of its faithful Michians. Stop giving it the step motherly treatment and repay the loyalty of Michians by giving it a strong script, an exclusive intelligent writer and a good director. With a good story line, the actors and dialogue writer will return back to their former glory.

Opti I think the creatives are under the illusion that no matter how bad the editing is, how amateur the direction is, how stupid the story line is or how insipid the acting maybe, Michi's popularity will pull the show through all such adversities.... Sadly they are WRONG! If they are going to cash on Michi's popularity, least they can do is show Michi together and provide us with a decent story line...

Funny thing is that Balaji gave the 'jinxed' set to Kayamath, and now the 'jinxed' set has made its way to KS, maybe KS too is getting step motherly treatment? 😕

Another thing is have you seen the costumes for the characters? seriously, Some of the clothes are so awful, please Balaji give the actors a new set of wardrobe.

I really do not like this new director Javed Shaikh, its as though he is sleeping on the job? 😕 This show needs a good director, and a creative team that actually analyses the trps, BT claims that they look at the trps, and based on the trps this gives an indication as to whether the track is being liked or disliked, does this not apply to Kayamath? so why is the partial amnesia track still going?, the actors look bored, and so are we.

Also, notice the limited promotion of this show, hardly any promos airing on the channel, and the promos are not aired often compared to other soaps. ;Limited media coverage.

Yes, Yasmin. This show hardly gets any publicity and whatever it is getting in SBS of late is because of the Michians franctic pleas to not ruin their favourite jodi.

Agree that there is a dire need to replenish the wardrobes of the characters and also get some good makeup artists for Panchi.

The story line has also become so unidimentional with no other character developed. I dont think any other show has depended so heavily on the lead jodi to carry the full weight of the show.

If the show has a good script all these other flaws would hardly be noticed but unfortunately the show lacks the one main ingredient required to make a good meal.

BT, WAKE UP BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

Opti, spot on observations! Michi is the proverbial goose that lays the golden egg. Why can't those cartoons recognise that....in a way they do, as u pointed ouut....it's Michi that keeps the show going...but for how long?

Repetitive dialogues, disinterested actors, bad clothes (tho I didn't notice that...) poor editing, not to mention constant changes of sets will surely kill the goose in no time...

Hey Optimist... you said it like it is! I wish you could bring it to their attention, may be email your post to them? Trust me, its about time they treat all their series like a KSBKBT. Just because the latter is riding high on the TRP charts, doesnt mean that they ignore the ones that are continuously slipping out of the top 10/20. In fact, Jay wanting to quit the show should tell them something!

👏 cannot have said better.i also have felt the same way.
even KTH used to be a late night balaji daily,but it pretty well showcased the talents of all the actors (eg:shabbo as rishi,ejaz as varun,chaitanya as akhshat)
& developed side tracks for all character as well.even sk was very popular,
but who can forget big b & kiddo relationship.in kymt all michi
relation is given imp as it only showcases unconditional love.
regarding costume & makeup,aamna & shaboo has been style icons for their look in KTH.Then why this to kymt????😡😡😡
i think we shud mail BT & enlighten them regarding these matters

its just unimaginable how the creatives are flapping...with bad direction and cliched dialogues 🤢 ...the usage of BDs in a unprofessional manner(panchi's BD with diff sari and hairstyles)...too many bloopers with shabbo appearing with different beardstyles in the same scene..panchi with and without chappals in a same scene....I think even the hairstlists and makeartists have lost interest..deterioration of Panchi;s hairsyle and makeup with each epi..


with the best casts ever, BT should make use of it..
