Well here is a scene I thought of:
Mamaji's double wedding plan is going full swing. Milsi's heart is totally not into this but he goes along thinking that is what Prachi wants. Ayesha is in seventh heaven needless to say.
On the wedding day:
Prachi is dressed in full bridal finery. She looks at herself in the mirror but does not really see her reflection. Instead she sees her entire life with Milsi played before her eyes and huge drops of tears gather in her eyes as she weeps uncontrollably. She looks up heavenwards and asks what wrong did she do to deserve this punishment. She so wanted to scream to Milsi and tell him she is his wife and can never be any body else's but she cannot risk losing him forever. At the same time she cannot bear the thought of sitting through an entire wedding ceremony, taking the sacred marriage vows with another man. She prayed for some miracle to happen to change the course of her life, to bring back her love to her.
No, she will not go through with this sham of a marriage. She gritted her teeth and pulled the drawer open. She slowly removed the bottle of sleeping pills from it and was about to pop them into her mouth. A small voice in her head was asking her whether she would be a coward and give up the fight. She kept telling herself silently that she was not taking away her life, which was not her right anyway considering her life was his, but is only buying more time in the hope that Milsi will recover.
Out on the corridor, Neev was watching Prachi's back as it shook and knew she was crying her eyes out. His heart went out to her. He hesitates outside her door wondering what next to do when he sees Milsi climb up the stairs with his head bent down, lost in thoughts. Making up his mind in a split second Neev barges into her room and drags Prachi up by gripping her upper arm tightly. Prachi who had the pills in her hand drops them in the sudden jerk this motion caused. Her eyes flew wide open as she stared at Neev. "Neev..." she uttered, but before she could continue he hugs her tightly and says in a loud voice he loves her so much and was so happy that they were finally going to be one. He cannot wait for the wedding to get over. So saying he proceeds to draw her face close and is about to kiss her.
Milsi reaches Prachi's room by then and is about to pass it when he heard Neev's words. He turned to see him bend his head towards Prachi. His heart constricts at the sight and his stomach churns as he feels a wave of revulsion hit him hard. His head pounds and he turns away unable to bear the agony of seeing the woman he loved in the arms of her future husband. Just as he was about to take the next step, he hears a resounding thud as though someone had been slapped hard. Lifting his head he sees a furious Prachi stare back at Neev with eyes burning up. Neev holds his cheek in his hand and is about to say something. Prachi raises her hand in warning to stop him and breaks into a tirade. She screams her lungs out at him.
"How dare you Neev, How dare you."
Neev tried to say something feebly "Prachi..."
"Dont you dare try this with me. I may have agreed to this wedding for the sake of Milind but dont for a moment think that I will ever go through with this. Dont think I will let any man other than my husband touch me. This body and soul belongs only to HIM. I will never let it be sullied by anyone."
Milsi hearing these words looks confused. Who is she speaking about? Who was her husband? Was Neev not going to be her husband? Then what was all this about? Before he can go any further in these thoughts he heard her continue.
"My husband may not remember me. That does not mean I have forgotten him. My love for him will never die. I can give up my life gladly for him but I cannot give myself to anyone but him. He is my life, my breath, my heartbeat, my soul, the very purpose of my existence. I cannot dream of a life without him. I cannot live without, without......"
She whimpers, as tears streamed down her cheeks.
Feeling drained she crumbles to the floor.
" ....Milind, my husband. I cannot live without him," she finished and passed out.
Before Neev could react, Milsi rushes in,picks her up and lays her on the bed. Her words keeps ringing in his head.
"I cannot live without, without....Milind, my huband".
What does that mean? Was he really her husband? Does she love him? When did they get married. Why could he not remember anything. Thoughts go racing through his mind but he pushes them aside for now. All he wants is for her to open her eyes. He frantically calls her name and rubs her hands. He gently slaps her cheeks in the hope of reviving her. He finds a glass of water next to the table and sprinkles the water on her face. She gently opens her eyes and stare back at the face she loves the most. She looks at the concern in his eyes and notices the quiver of his lips as he repeatedly calls out to her. She tries to get up and he immediately supports her body.
"Prachi, is it true? Do you love me?"
He wanted to ask a thousand questions. He wanted an explanation for all this but those can wait. All he wanted to hear was that she loved him. That will do for now. She looks into his eyes and for the first time notices the love brimming in them for her. Why did she not see this before? Was it always there? Ws she too cuaght up in her pain at what she thought Miind wanted that she did not notice it? As she revels in the joy at seeing his love she realises that Milind was repeating the question since she had not yet answered. She then slowly nods her head as as she looked deep into his eyes, her eyes reflecting the same love found in his. He heaves a sigh of relief and happiness as he feels a big load lift from his heart. He pulls her into a tight embrace as she smiles through the tears that had welled up again. Only these are happy tears at being reunited with her husband.
Neev had stepped out as soon as Milsi entered the room. He witnesses the scene before his eyes and rubs a tear from his eyes as he smiles at the two lovebirds. The smile was a mixture of happiness at finally being instrumental in reuniting the lost lovers and sadness at losing his one true love. He may have well lost her friendship too after what he did to her today. But he would do it again if he had to for her sake. Milsi will regain his memory. His wife will see him through this phase -not from afar but up close. That is what mattered at the end. With these thoughts he leaves the place and goes to his room to start packing his bag. The life outside was calling to him. It is hightime he made a clean break from the past and start his life afresh.   ; ;   ; ;
