JC, I used to do a lot of that too (talking in the dark) with my sister. But talking in the dark can have its pitfalls too. During the initial years of our marriage I used to do this with my hubby but realised much later that the guy was sleeping through most of my 'conversations' with him when one day I heard his snore instead of his characteristic 'hm...'. You see I used to think that his 'hmm...' meant that he was listening to me but actually that was his way of fooling me into believing that he was listening while he was half asleep! Once his sleep overcame him and he could not even utter the 'hm....' and here I was busy yacking away into the night to nobody in particular. I later realised that he had fallen asleep as soon as I had started talking and I had realised it only after 15 minutes! Since then even if I talk to him in the dark I would keep a close watch on his face (in the dim moon light) to ensure that I dont end up talking to the wall! And on days of new moon I dont take the chance!!!

i can't relate completely. Because i don't have a hubby that sleeps while i am talking to the walls at night.😆 (plz don't take offense ...joke tha). But i did have a sleep over once and as is my habit with my brother...i started to talk to my girlfriends about nothing in particular as we were all laying down and eventually all of them fell asleep except for me.😆 That was quite funny. Then i screamed the most ridiculous thing (which i will not mention here) and they all woke up and we had a pillow fight. My poor bro is the only one who listens to me in even when he is trying to sleep.

JC, these days I dont even converse with the poor guy (not that he would miss the long 'conversations' which were mostly monologues) because of my IF addiction!!!
