Similar has been my experience and that too with a similar named soap though couldn't bear much of it really but if it's Shabbir sab kuch bardasht kerna pareyga. Any idea which channel will it be aired on?

OMG...initially i 2 was laughing my head off...but now i am scared. I actually loved B.R. Chopra's Mahabharat. He did great justice to indian sentimentalities in that show. Mahabharat in Ekta's hand???? I donno...i am a bit nervous. She will ruin it. You need a perfect Krishna to carry on the show...and a very dignified Draupadi too...Rupa became my favorite thru her role as Draupadi..whoever steps in those shoes better do full justice. And Duryodhan and Karan also need to be equally powerful actors. I wonder who will play Karan...Karan was the only character in Mahabharat that had my sympathies. 😭 I just hope Ekta doesn't make it look like a circus.

Could someone give us a synopsis of what the Mahabarat is about? Maybe then, we can see how BT will twist and massacre it to fit the K-series formula. 😡

just a quick q...ekta may have spoken to shabbir, but do u think he will actually be a part of the project seing as he is quite busy with kayamath and films?

Worse guys, Mahabharat gives Ekta plenty of opportunity for melodrama and the infamous Balaji camera flashes...oooo i can't wait to die of a seizure just watching this.

I suggest get the dvd's of BR Chopra's Mahabharat...there are 16 or 17 volumes in total i think. I'd give you a synopsis but gotta go to work right now if i dont' wanna be late. So when i come back and you still didn't get a synopsis...i'll do the honors.

Karna is my fave too... He is the original Anti hero... one guy who puts u through the dilema he went through himself.. between the right and wrong. And in Pankaj Dheer rocked in the Chopra's version👏😃.

Btw I dont think Ekta will go ahead with the list of stars. Even if it is a weekly one hour a week... it wont be possible because of the most of actors listed play lead roles in their respective serials. And even if she puts up a palace set in film city... she needs open land for wars and all that and usually they shoot out of mumbai for that. I think the prev was shot somewhere in MP... highly impossible for the stars that too so many of them travel that length so regularily esp when they have their respective serials with no bank episodes to fall back on. So hopefully this serial will go ahead with new faces... atleast without Shabbo... I cant see him in a costume drama...no matter how versatile he is😕

I can sympathise. I grew up with the stories of Ram & Laksman, one of the few Hindu mythology stories that has survived the 140 years Indians have been in South Africa. I would be aghast to see that story being given the Hindi soap treatment 😡, so I can understand if people are against the Mahabharat idea.
