OK!! FOLKS !! i read all ur responses & thanks a bunch!! for answering !!

@ soulfry - sis!! i am not saying that if a gal is wearing a revealing outfit then it means tht ,tht gal is shameless !! ,i am not agains't western outfit ,i myself wesr jeans/shirt-t-shirt all time ,the thing is tht it wud be nice if the gals wear decent western outfits !! what pleasure one gets in wearing those revealing outfits in day to day life at metro cities in INDIA esp. in mumbai & bangalore we easily get to see the gals wearing those shoulderless & off-shoulder outfits , noodle strap is secent upto an extent !! but it is really pathetic tht a gal going for shopping in revealing outfits !!

in INDIA this happens only in mumbai ,bangalore ,goa cities !!! in rest of the INDIA u won't find such bindaas !! dressing sense !!

jossygal , nina sabin ,saliat !!! ,vidayc !!i appreciate!!! ur views & yup if a gal is wearing a revealing outfit then she shud have the attitudes to wear it like ash ,sushmita & obviously these gals are in media field so they have to wear such stuffs but it's really pathetic to see the gals at MUMBAI ,BANGALORE cities wearing such stuffs in their day to day life !!! by teh way the ppl at mumbai are really rude & very pretentious types tht my auntie told me !!
anyways folks!! loved ur replies!!! & GOT YOUR POINTS ALSO !!!

its a free world where people can dress however they please. just b/c someone dresses a certain way doesn't mean that they are lacking morals or entertain a certain lifestyle. its one's choice as to what they want to wear no matter what they're doing. who are we to judge?

If that is the case then why do we have people cursing Rakhi Sawanth for her dress sense. You may right with you point but democracy still doesn't exist in a country like India were wearing provocative clothes is still considered a shame.

Actually in places like US and Canada we wear appropriate clothes for different locations. you wont see girls wearing jeans or mini skirts to temples. We wear professional turtle neck sweaters or shirts for jobs and interviews and skirts are usually below knee for me and not above. It is just my preference that I dont wear too short revealing dresses because it just does not satisfy comfort level. Then to school I usually go formal most of the time in either petites or dress pants with shirts that are full-sleeved because I have tanned arms. However in summer I try polo shirts and capris. While going to temples or indian restaurants I usually clan myself in Salwars that are either short sleeved or long sleeved. Some of my salwars are sleevless but they are not thin and not very deep enough. So this is the dressing sense for most of us in foreign countries. I hope you guys agree.
As someone actually said we don't bother what others wear or how provocative their dresses are. We try to fit ourselves in our own comfort levels. It doesn't really bother us or my parents to any extent. My parents are pretty open with my dressing sense. They really dont care about what I wear because it is my freedom to do so.

thats my question too? rakhi sawant is an adult who has every right to make her own decisions...personal or professional.

well rakhi is free to choose whatever she wants to wear. its wrong to pass comments abt her clothing but rakhi sawant is not bashed by people for her dressing style but for her antics which people find annoying.. for her statements, whining, bragging and insulting etc etc.

im brtish nd i was born here! i have been bought up around the clothes u described and alot of suits worn by business woman nd men. I at home have 2 wear salwar kamees becuase i my self dnt like werin western clothes in front of my mom or dad and they say themselves i need to wear salwar in order to remain modest etc! However wen i go out to college shopping i wear jeans, shirts.if its sleeveless top i were a t shirts under it! My parents dont say anything because they no that i have my priorities strate! i dnt wnt be the type that shows of my body may be because im a muslim and i lyk to keep my self covered. But the main aim of my statement is dat yes in westernised countries if you have ur priorities straight then u have diferent intentions and women in india yes i do get a bit worried because the beuty of india is the sarees and women being modest and dressing in a westernised manner i think takes away the beuty and modesty of india jus a lil! Nd the indian actress or women i think they do it to gain recognition, it really annoys me wen Ashwariya does not wer indian clothing to hollywood awards or ne awards in london, france or usa i mean she has a chance to show the beuty of india but she doesnt do it!!! Sorry for the long essay lol
