Shabbo grows on you....

Yesterday I was showing my mother in law a video mix by JC and told her about the popularity of Michi (she does'nt watch the show). She had one look at Shabbo and said, "So is he the hero? He looks like a ruffian! Some people seem to have all the luck to be loved even looking like that!" Needless to say I sprung to the defence of our dear darling. But it reminded me of what I had initally thought of him when I first saw him in a cameo in KS, later in NB where he was flirting atrociously with the co-host and after that in the rerun of KTH. I wondered how this guy can be termed as a style icon, a heart throb, a charmer etc etc. The guy had such an unkempt look about him which was totally the opposite of the clean looks telly heros normally have. In fact his looks would have suited a villian's role more.

A stubble was fine. But the long unkempt hair? Certainly put me off him initially.In KYM, the first episode I watched in full was the episode where he threatens to rape Prachi. In that he looked even more scary and uncouth. I wondered just how is this guy so popular. Anyway curiosity got the better of me and I decided to watch what exactly happened in the next episode and before I realised I was hooked to the show and to Shabbo! The guy literally grew on me. I understood why people found him charming. The guy's histrionic skills need no further elaboration. But even his unkempt looks which initally seemed unconventional and uncool, started looking cool and I guess has become his USP.

Seeing Shabbo, I am reminded of the effect A.R.Rahman's music has on people. People who hear it for the first time may not take to it immediately because it is unconventional and sounds different from the usual numbers. But as you keep listen to it the music just grows on you and before you realise you will be humming the tunes subconsciously. Shabbo I feel is like that. Once he has got on to you, you cannot let go.

Shabbir was in Kasam Se? I watched the show for a whole and don't remember seeing him. When did he appear in the show?

Pippa he appeared in a cameo as some pop singer (at the time of the Prak road raaz). I forget his name in it. He was responsible in catalysing Jai into revealing the raaz to Bani. There was a lot of hype to his coming in the KS forum. So eagerly waited for the episode. Must say was not impressed by him then. It was as Milind that I fell for the guy. Now if I watch a repeat of NB or KTH, I see him differently.

so opti is ur mother in law is drooling on shabbo as we r all doing now,i bet opti if u show her some more videomixes she too will accompny u in watching KYM.

No Suni, she did'nt even stay to watch more than 2 minutes of the mix! Just made her comment and left the place hastily . As to watching the show, she is fast asleep at that ungodly hour. It is people like me whose body clocks have changed because of KYM who sit up late to watch the show. (Me not complaining since I get to oggle at my hero without fear of getting caught! 😉 ) If the promised track change does not come through, I guess I will have to turn back my body clock and get some good night sleep.

I never watched KTH or any other shows of shabbo. ANd I watched kayamath from august that too don;t remember exact date. But I remember the dilogue of shabbo like " meri prachi kabhi aaisa nahi kar sakthi" something like that, then started watching regularly and I literally in awe of shabbo. Whenever he is on screen, he fires the screen with his acting( something like that , don;t know the exact phrase)

Awwwwwww Shabbo, he is my eternal Kiddo Material😆 Just his exuberant smile makes you smile too, just like the way a child smiles at you and u cant stop but smile back. I saw him 1st in Sanjeevani in one of the episodes and i thought he was pretty good for an unknown face... he was such a sharif bacha in that and had a very emotional role... then again saw him in kyunki and went... you are too sharif for my liking... then came Rishi Garewal and I went... Ekta ko koi aur nahi mila... yeh kis angle se Sujal ka bhai lagta hai but the guy grew on you like anything... you did everything to resist that charm... but he won you over with that same smile😃
As Milind, I think I dont have to say anything... God Bless Shabbo... I am sure he will take Indian Cinema also by storm... his charm must be great to watch on the Big Screen...should catch MI in the theatres😍

As for me, I first saw him in Kavyanjali and was flat by his entrance only, the way he took his wife to be with so much thevar out from amongst the people who were insulting her...it was brilliant. I was just too upset they turned his character negative later. I would have forever cherished that cameo role of his if they had ended his role in Kavyanjali with Anjali marrying Kkavya. And about Shaboo...when i saw his entry in KYM when he broke the matki i was instantly reminded of the first time i met those eyes on screen. Vansh too was a guy from similar background. I guess the women in my family are attracted to the unconventional types in the very beginning itself. 😆
