Blackcurrant put it beautifully, but let me say it again!
Simple, they COMPLETE each other. While her love mellowed him down, allowing him to turn less impulsive and more openly affectionate, he instilled a confidence in her that was previously missing.
I have alluded to Prachi being a doormat at times, but it's true that Milind, when at his best behavior, respects and loves his wife....a good example is when he sent Alaap to turkey on her recommendation (although he did have a hidden agenda of staying close to her!!!!! 😳 )
Although I am still getting used to this idea, love is not all about mushy romance - it's not about only being physically close to each other, it's not about calling each other 10 times a day, it's about being mentally and emotionally attuned to each other, which I think MICHI are. Like BC put it, their core values are the same, although their personalities are very different. But, MICHI have learnt to understand each other and grow in their marriage, which is a trait of any successful couple
Some dialogues that prove how much in sync this couple is:
"Sukruti - use maine apni behen jaisa maana hai. Uski aankhon me aansoon nahin dekh sakti, kyunki uske aansoon aapko dard dete hain"
Milind has never rambled about how much he loves his sister, and Prachi was never close to him before they got married. Still, she understands his protective attitude, and cannot bear tears in Suk's eyes only because they hurt Milind (of course, Prachi loves S for herself too! haha)
I don't recall another dialogue, but once Milind berated himself, saying something like, "Prachi ne bina kuch kahe hi sab kuch samjha diya"
That was after P prevents S from eloping with S, and later calmly appreciates S in front of Milind. Without long lectures, without chiding or mocking him, she drives home Saket's virtues, which tames Milind's ego....he realizes that she is the kind of girl who says more in less, and appreciates this quality. (and this was befoe Prachi shouted at him for never understanding her silence)
The only thing Milind has failed to understand is Prachi's relationship with Neev. He is so afraid of losing her that he suspects her every now and then (when he did stop doing so, Prachi began her crusade to protect Sukruti!)
Anyway, my answer was not simple, was it...haha
