Thanks a lot Magno dii for the english translation, I think this song was picturised beautifully on MICHI, and i luved Miland's expressions during the 'umeede hai tumse hai mere sanam, tama hai tere ye daman'😍☺️ (and they showed the flashback with Miland carrying Prachi after that fire) and the way the camera went to Miland on the part where the female singer says, 'tere hogya hain hum- I have become yours' ...awww...i dont what to say except for....

I think the intended meaning of that line is..."i have held only your daaman (meaning, umm...like...i have only head on to your hand)...however, daaman means a woman's 'scarf-like' clothing. but it has profound meaning beyond being a piece of cloth. A daaman is often used as a metaphor for several ideas like a woman's 'chastity', or her 'security' or the security she provides, or her 'love' that provides soothing to the loved one.
