Ronit Roy

Now we've heard that Ekta Kapoor's blue-eyed boy, Ronit Roy will shake a leg in Sony TV's dance competition Jhalak Dikhhla Ja 2. This will be Ronit's first dance competition on television. The actor, who is busy with two dailies Kyunki… and Kasamh Se, will be required for Jhalak… only for two days - rehearsals on Fridays followed by the main shoot on Saturdays. From Monday to Thursday he will shoot for his soaps. Incidentally, Star One had approached the actor to be a part of Nach Baliye 3 along with his wife Neelam, but he had to turn it down as Neelam is pregnant.

Interestingly, the show will be hosted by Ronit's younger brother Rohit Roy.

Jay Bhanushali

When contacted Ronit Roy hummed and hawed and finally said, "Things have not been finalised yet. Let's wait for Synergy Productions and Sony TV to make the official announcement."

Managing Director, Synergy Productions, Anita Kaul Basu spoke to us from Delhi, "It's a little early for me to say anything right now. The channel will announce the names in a soon-to-be-held press conference. So we need to wait."

Another Balaji Telefilms actor, Jay Bhanushali of Kayamath, too will be participating in the show. When contacted Jay Bhanushali said, "This offer came to me about four days ago and I am participating in the show. I have danced in the Star Parivar Awards earlier and it will be a good experience and great fun to dance in a competition with a whole lot of other celebrities."
