All of a sudden, Ayesha was turned into a serious vamp and made to do all those things you have mentioned which put her in negative light. There was no need to turn Ayesha evil in order to show Michi were made for each other or to show Prachi was way better than Ayesha.
A NeeSha track was never possible, because Ayesha wouldn't have loved anyone besides Milind. But then she coudl have tried to get Milind back with emotions not with crooked plans which she is continuing even after her death.😕

I wouldn't agree with this because if she did love Milind as she claims to do she would not have married any other man let alone Neev and all for revenge. For her revenge against the Shahs meant more than her 'love' for Milind. Even while he was with her she was always trying to boss him around. Now I dont think that Milind is someone who would have taken too kindly to that if they were married, although he tolerated it because he was besotted by her beauty. I still remember their last scene before he left for Turkey where he asked her if she would wait for him and she said arrogantly that she will not and that she will go away someone (something to that effect) making Milind insanely jealous. I would have thought for a woman who loved him that was a very careless and arrogant thing to say to a man who was emotionally torn in leaving behind his beloved. And if she tried to win back Milind with emotions, knowing how much he loved Prachi, then it is surely not love, for if you truly love a person you should allow that person to choose his happiness. If you cant, then you are utterly selfish and a selfish person cannot love anyone. That is my POV.
As to Neesha, I think they would have made a wonderful pair had the creatives had some imagination. The two complimented each other. Neev was the fun loving guy and she was the head strong one. They would have compensated each other's shortcomings. Neev was the only person who trully understood her although he did not carry that understanding further. Even Milind did not have as much understanding of her character as Neev did. If they had shown Neev soften even a little but towards her and her reciprocating it, they could have explored another fascinating love story. Her suicide attempt could have been used as an opening for Neesha track had Neev met her at the hospital and been with her. There were a couple of other opportunities too (which have slipped my mind now) when he sort of empathised with her pain. Unfortunately he always capped it with sarcasm thereby shutting out all possibility of any other feeling from her part except hatred for him.
By excessively focusing on Michi I feel the creatives have killed the show for afterall to me this was about four people not just two.

I thought Misha sort of confessed in that scene. Ayesha says she is sure that Milind will come find her no matter where she goes... and then they hug..

But Ayesha's revenge drama let Misha love down. I think there was some chance for her redemption, if she had realized her mistake and apologized before Michi married.... but anyway all this is spilled milk now..
I can't admire Misha, Neechi, Neesha... unfortunately not even Michi.

Hi Shubs - Phew!! Finally I've managed to read your post.
I totally understand the frustration your feeling with how Ayesha's character has been butchered to no end - to show her in the worst light possible; not satisfied with just marring her human character, the creatives are hell bent on destroying her soul too by portraying her as a man-eating witch. Hence you have penned down this scenario, which incidently is written beautifully.
However I still don't (or don't want to) beleive that she loved Milind or he truly loved her with the intensity that deep, pure and untainted love exudes. Yes a true friend she really was, which is why even after all the atrocities that she inflicted on Prachi and her family, even though sometimes witnessed by Milind, he could never blame/punish her because deep down he shared a special bond - that was of extremely close friendship but not realy love in its truest sense. I feel that her 'love' stemmed more from obsessiveness and selfishness, the pride that SHE felt by having Milind run around her was what she cared about more not really about him - I think. Looking back it seems that she had wrapped him around her finger by weaving her charm and always acting the way she knew that would turn him on - she was like an enchantress.
Also looking at the qualities that Milind Mishra's character stood for - headstrong, ruthless, protective, possessive for what was his and the hatred he had for lies and deceit, knowing all this why would Ayesha marry Neev - if she truly loved Milind she would have confided her problems with him - he would have fought alongside her unconditionally, not forgotten him and happilly focused on her revenge. When you are so upset you look to those you love, but Milind was the last person on her mind.
I think if Milind had married anyone else and not Prachi then I feel her obsession would not have taken her to the extremes that it did, she was like you said a fairly grounded individual, she would have got over it with time. If her love was real then she would have been happy in his happiness and would have wished him well and bowed out gracefully. However her hatred for Prachi was much more stronger than her so called love for Milind. Moreover she never was ever able to bring out the sensitive and caring side of Milind, he never even was aware that he even had it until he married Prachi.
Gosh I didn't realize that I had written so much - sorry - All this is my opinion and I know loads of people will not agree with me. I t is really the creatives fault - they could have steered the boat in a more positive direction in terms of Ayesha's character, but from the way they showed her from the beginning this is how I continued to view her as a character - A real pain in the backside!!!

Niki, I would be foolish if I defend Ayesha (these days any character for that matter). But what I wanted to convey amidst Ayesha's butchering was-

If you look back, Ayesha was denied of everything by her destiny. She was illegitimately born. Her father abandoned her to live with his wife and children, her mother was mentally ill who could hardly care, love or support her. This beautiful girl grew up and attracted Milind's attention. I think she loved to possess him for all she had on earth was him. I haven't carefully watched all pre-Michi wedding episodes to make statements about Ayesha but from what I have gathered in a few scenes, as you have said they did share a bond. She was the one who motivated Milind to do something in life when he was hopeless (MIsha confession scene).

Later when she came to know who her father was and what she lost in life, she wanted to take revenge. Yes she shouldn't have married Neev and that cut Milind badly (you know what, Prachi too lived with another man for years even though she knew Milind used to go nuts to see her with Neev. And Prachi wasn't living with Proteek to help Milind. It was her own helplessness- I know the situations are different but...). And Ayesha married Neev for her vengeful motives and there started Ayesha's butchering.

What beats me is the fact Ayesha never had anyone to comfort her. Do you remember one scene where someone hugs Ayesha and says "don't worry" "I understand you". One might argue she never let anyone into her heart. But I say it's unfortunate that her wavelenght didn't click with anyone. I think all her evil deeds stem from lack of love, lack of support. She is insecure and always that's the reason she is so harsh, so unkind. She was lonely most of her life. She had Milind at some point, but she lost him not knowing his worth in her life. Later she was so alone in her lonely journey of revenge. Today even after death she is still in the same journey of loneliness. Her dreams, wishes are to never come true and the girl doesn't know it. I know she is selfish but I feel truly sad for her for I find her so unfortunate.

She doesn't deserve a life with Milind. Because Milind loves Prachi and belongs to her. Ayesha lost him long time back. However, I wanted her to die in Milind's arms, whom she thought she loved. Milind was the only man in her life. Not once she has done anything for any other man on earth. Prachi might have loved Neev at some point, cared for Proteek in another instance. But all that's in Ayesha's world in MIlind. That's why I wanted her to die in Milind's arms and bid adieu to this world with a first and last kiss from him.

I made Milind say he loved her in the end. I think that made her life.
Milind might not love her the way he loves Prachi. But he still loves Ayesha, I am sure Ayesha is an important part of Milind's life. Love can exist in innumerable forms.. what's say?

Interesting discussions. My POV: I think Milind did genuinely love Ayesha, I think it was more than just physical attraction, I don't think a man would walk on hot coals because of mere attraction, it was something more deeper than that. As for Ayesha, her idea of love sadly hurt Milind and brought a lot of pain to him and his family. I don't think the Mishras ever wronged Ayesha. But whatever she feels for Milind, whether it is love, or obsession, or lust, whatever one may choose to call it....her 'love' was unwavering till her last breath. We may say for Ayesha, her revenge against Prachi and the Shah family was more important than her love for Milind, but I could say the same for Prachi, her duties and love to the Dasguptas was ever more important than what she felt for Milind. Atleast there is some consistancy in Ayesha's character when it comes to Milind, that was not the case for Prachi.

Yas,
Yes I agree with you. Milind-Ayesha's relationship was not mere physical attraction. Ayesha was never all over Milind when they were in chawl (it was more the other way round that he would just pull her on his shoulder and walk away 😆). Ayesha had an attitude but she had deep feelings for Milind (she still has- look at how she is all excited about going out with him).

The problem is Ayesha has a poor understanding of feelings. Just like the way she wrongly beleived Prachi and everyone in Shah mansion detested her, she had wrong understandings about Milind too and she never appreciated what she herself had for Milind until she lost him.

Love is said to be not selfish, but Ayesha comes accross selfish as she destroys everything in her path when she is riding towards Milind. She is not considerate and kind towards others which I think stems from her insecurity and all the negativity she has gone through.

The thing is Prachi gave Milind what he needed. Comfort, care, tender feelings- which soothened his deep wounds some caused by Ayesha, some by the Aalaap. Ayesha didn't understand Milind again and that's why she also fails to see why Milind is in love with Prachi. It also shows how Milind and Prachi were made for each other and Ayesha doesn't fit the bill to be Milind's wife.

Love is more about giving than recieving. Ayesha doesn't know how to give- I think that's because noone gave her anything in life. But there are a few great people who don't receive but give a lot. Ayesha isn't one of them. However, she somehow strikes a chord in my heart and earns some sympathy because I believe she was at the short end of the stick. Her deeds are a result of her pains, her losses (though she herself is responsible for some of them in some cases).

Ayesha at the end of the day died so empty and I think there is no way her soul can rest in peace. She will be eternally restless. That makes me sad.

I dont think she died empty. Going by the story, Ayesha is supposed to have made peace with the Shahs and did receive enpough of their love and care towards the end that she had accepted that Michi were meant to be together. She died fighting for it. So it indicates that she was not empty when she died. I think the creatives ran out of ideas to keep the show going and wanted Sanju back in some form or other. So they brought her back in this bhootini form. Whatever it is I cant feel an iota of sympathy for her.
