No Opti Akka, there was no need to gain sympathy for Milind at all. Milind was popular and loved enough as he was pre leap.
Even with this fake drama, if Prachi was considerate to Milind, at least if they had showed us Prachi very much wanted to be with Milind, but there was a dying mother in law whom Prachi couldn't abandon- it would have been better. There also could have been a better background where Panchi Dasgupta died saving Prachi's life and that way Prachi owed her life to Panchi. And that's why she replaced Panchi as Suproteek's mother. And Proteek could have been turned negative who is may be blackmailing Prachi to continue faking.
Post leap Milind would have still been the same as they are showing now, who wants his wife back at any cost. They could have had Proteek or some other "majboori" to interfere with Michi reunion rather than Prachi herself.
Afterall Prachi is the main lead of this serial. She has been given a lot of importance in previous tracks. Before it was all about how she sacrificed for Neev, and how she dedicated herself to Milind, changed him into a loving husband. Then it was how she protected him, and in PA how she was ready to sacrifice him. It was all about how "great" was Prachi. Milind was put into misunderstandings and made to apologise or melt down in every track. I think even now, what they are showing is that Prachi is sacrificing "her" love for a duty. However, as they have showed Michi love to great heights before and still want to show it as well, they are having Prachi to choose between Milind's love and fake responsibilities. The reality is that Milind's love that we know overpowers all fakings and that's why we are with Milind and not the fake family. But the creatives want us to see it as a serious dilemma for Prachi as it involves kids. But we as audience haven't accepted the leap or the fake track itself so far.. and that's why we don't relate to this Prachi anymore, who has supposedly spent 5 years with DG family.. none of which we have witnessed. On the other hand, all we remember is how Milind-Prachi loved and lived for each other in the past.
