So by portraying a heartless female lead the sympathy will all go to the male lead. Women are basically emotional. what better way to play with their emotions than to show the hero suffer. Afterall the show runs on his shoulders. It is plain trp game.

Opti, I don't buy your argument, that the creatives are deliberately trying to butcher Prachi to heighen Milind's character. Thats like shooting themselves in the foot!! I've never seen such a thing in any serial, where they have pulled down the female protaganist and that to delibarately to put the male character on a pedestal. Don't these serials run on the heroine's shoulders, the more tears the heroine sheds, the TRPs benefit. 😕 By reducing Prachi to shreds, they have reduced MiChi.

I agree. These serials are run on empathising and sympathising with the female character not by making the audience loathe her. Unless they honestly don't realise just how turned off everyone is by Prachi's behaviour and they really think the audience will be sympathetic to her being torn between Milind and her duty to the Das Gupta. But that would have only worked if we really felt some connection to the Das Guptas and more especially to her relationship with Suproteek who they barely show. It's just bad direction and story development. Panchi is just not being directed to put across the right expressions and emotions and they really didn't invest enough in developing the Das Guptas to make us give a damn about them.

Regarding the argument about creatives bringing down Prachi intentionally- I guess they might rather be thinking that they are making Prachi even more "Mahaan" by making her fake as a DIL, wife and mother. And she is ready to sacrifice her husband and her happiness for her duties. So, I think the creatives are unaware of the damage they have done to Michi love by making Prachi fake.

I am not supporting them. I am highlighting how dumb they are.

One more thing- as far as Milind goes, he has the support of Shabbir- who has a lot of fan following irrespective of his characters (I mean even Rishi who was mostly negative had his own set of fans right?)- and then even if they had showed Milind ruthless, vengeful for a while, it wouldn't have hurt Michi love.

Milind was never a "good boy" like Neev. Milind would do extreme things such as marrying for revenge, scaring his wife with a rape, playing ruthless games in business etc. etc.... But still Milind was loved for what he is. They didn't need to put him in a pedestal of being the most understanding husband now. Even if he had brought the truth out or taken Sumonto away, he wouldn't have been at fault.

As I said before, it looks like creatives have no idea that a fake marriage shouldn't be put before a real loving relationship. They probably think it is doing good for Prachi's character- Prachi a mahaan woman who is ready to live a fake life forever for the sake of something called "DUTY".

I agree with Emma.....I don't think the creatives are deliberate in thier attempt to butcher Prachi's character....just to hieighten Milind. Remember the begining of the seriel, and in the PIM (sukruti) track, Milind was downright "vicious" and cruel to Prachi (when her character was more wholesome...less buthchered) many times, yet his image never suffered......he was the ever REVEARED Milind then, just like he is now.
I think that the audience will always preceive Milind in a Positive light....even make excuses for him when is wrong....not that I am saying that he is wrong in the Leap track.....but dammit...we need to admit that he could have handeled this whole situation better.....!!!

Shubs, you are forgetting who is playing the male and female leads here in this show. Shabbo is way more popular than Panchi. Sympathy votes for Shabbo at the cost of Pachi will do them more good than the other way around. It happened in the predecessor to this show, Kahin to Hoga where Rajeev was more popular than Aamna. There were portions in that serial too where the female protagonist was made to seem heartless and the hero suffers because of his love for her. Ofcourse the character of the female lead was very different from that of Prachi here. That is why it really does not sit well on Prachi who had always given her marriage and husband way more importance than anything else. However, the creatives have used the same formula without seeing the difference in situations and characters.
BC, the creatives do realise how put off the audience are about Prachi's character butchering. There have been enough mails sent to them. This is a deliberate ploy to gai more sympathy for the hugely popular male lead.

As to Shabbo/Milind being popular even during the PIM track when he was vicious let us not forget that during that time he hardly knew Prachi and circumstance led him to believe the worst of her. Since then he has realised the depth of her love for him. So if they have to separate Michi it has to be something which is beyong his control. So they brought in PA track where his treatment of Prachi can be forgiven since he did not remember her. Now if Michi have to be parted, then it has to be at the cost of Prachi's character because the two have reached a point where they totally understand each other. So bang comes the AM track and the ridiculous murder trial and the even more ridiculous decision of Prachi to leave Milind. Now how to heighten Milind's character? Ruin Prachi because if she had given as much importance to Milind as she did pre-leap this track would be over in minutes. They have to stretch the track. So in comes a D-family and her 'compulsion' to fulfil her duties to them. Now that will totally ruin what we know of Prachi. Why bother as long as Milind's character is extalled. There is no denying that Milind is the author backed character in this show.

Yasmin, the creatives want to stretch the show. They are not willing to look beyond Michi separation and reunion. They have not bothered to develop other characgters in the show. Now how would you do that without making Prachi seems heartless and brainless because the miute she had run into Milind's arms after they had first met ,this track would have been over.
