He readily agrees and extends his hand in her for formal handshake as the
acceptance of the friendship.His hand touched her's for the first time,she felt as if current had passed through her body.Their eyes came in contact with each other.Prachi pulled her hand back "mujhe ab jaana chahihye"(I should go now) she says with shyness and turns back going into her house.He still stood their, his hand was on the car door,waiting for her to turn back.He was sure she turn back and see.He was right,she turns back,smiles at him and waves her hand.He feels happy,he started the car to go to his home.Prachi was very happy that day,she was experiencing a new feeling.She suddenly comes to an halt seeing Karan standing in front of her,looking at her seriously.Daily she would come early to home,sometimes she would be late when she and Sukruthi would go for shopping but she would inform Karan or someone in the house.Today it was different she neither informed nor picked her phone when they called her. "Flight correct time par aye kya?kahan thi itni der tak.phone bhi nahi utharahi ho"(did flight come on time.where were u till now.didn't lift the phone also)he asked very seriously,but other side he could not control his laugh. Sukruthi had already informed him about this. "Milind andhar nahi aaya kya" (why didn't come inside"asked Karan waiting for her answer. "woh………….bhaiyya",she was cut by Nandini, "abhi abhi aayi hai aur aap shuru hogaye hai"(she came just now and u started with your questions?) .Prachi goes to her room and thinks about him.
He was still on his way home,he was thinking about her,his mind was full of her only.He puts his hand on the thing that was hanging on the mirror.It was Prachi's anklet,it had slipped out from her ankle on NA's wedding.He picked it up and tried give her,but it was not possible for him and he forgot about it.He reached home,as he entered he saw a gang of girls sitting around his sister and started giggling when they saw him.He did not understand why they were laughing at him,he ignored it.Half-n-hour later Milind was walking towards Sukruthi's room,he peeps into her room,he saw that she was busy doing some work.He enters her room, "kya kar rahi hai tum,lagtha hai ki tum bahut busy ho"(what are u doing,seemed to be very busy),asks her seeing her books.Seeing him for the first time in her room Sukruthi gets shocked and after coming out of the shock "kuch nahi college ki work karrahi hoon"(nothing just doing college work),says while busy writing something in her book.He pulls out the book from her, "arey tumse kuch baat kar na chahta hoon aur tum kuch likthe jaarahi ho"(I came here to talk with you and you are going on writing )saying he just start going through book in his hand.He sees Prachi's name in the front page. "ye book tho prachi ki hai,yeha kya kar rahe ye book,uuske paas hona chahiye na,tum kaho tho mein jaakar uusko ye book vapaas karatha hoon"(this is Prachi's book,what this is doing here ,it should be with Prachi,if you want I'll go and give it to her), Sukruthi did not understand what he was saying and moreover he was very exicited to go to Prachi's house.
"iiski koyi zarrorat nahi"(no need for that), says Sukruthi after coming out of shock, "Prachi ne hi mujhe di thi usske kiya notes likne ke liye, mein promise ki thi,aaj jho woh class jo miss ki na,aur book dene ki baat hai , woh mein kal ussko dungi,aap fikhar kar ne ki koyi zarrorat nahi hai"(Prachi had given this to me so that I could write notes for her,she had her class today,tomorrow I'll give her,there is no need for you to worry), tells Sukruthi irritated. "par-----------------woh kal nahi ayegi tho, ussko problem hogi na"(but if she doesn't come to college it will be a problem for her),asks Milind, Sukruthi was rather puzzled with her brother that day.He was acting differently.At first he had entered her room,who at first never entered before,secondly he was worried about Prachi's book.He pulls her pen from her hand, "kya likhna bathade mujhe,teri help karunga mein"(what should I write in this,I'll help you), she sees him that he was busily looking at the book.Her voice choked, she gave him her notes so he can complete it as it would be waste if she would tell him something, he would'nt listen to her . He lifted his head "mere naam mat lena"(don't tell that I wrote),she just nodded in agreement with a small smile on her lips.
It has been a week since this happened.Prachi had asked Sukruthi about the change in her handwriting,but Sukruthi just brushed it off.As exams were coming near Prachi became busy in her studies and Milind didn't met her again or talked to her as he thought she may get disturbed.But he was still thinking of her,he tried to control himself from keeping himself away from her,but couldn't.He was dying to see her or talk to her.On other side Prachi could not keep concentration on her studies,this was making her rather tensed up.She can't neglect her studies or exam, and on the other side she was not able to forget Milind.She was in her room,her mind was hovering somewhere,her eyes fell on the phone.She took it into her hands,she was staring at it,her finges were tempted to ring to Sukruthi's house and ask for her brother,but at next moment she was feeling shy to talk with him.She keeps of the phone,but her eyes were still on the phone,wondering why Milind didn't call her till now. He on the other hand was staring at his laptop,it contained Prachi's pics as screensaver. He had taken her pics on that day secretly,he was amused her beauty. He thought at any cost he was going to meet her.
That day in college the lectures were boring,but no one wanted to miss them as their exams were due in 2 months.After sometime bell rang indicating the day was over.Everyone let out their relief and ran out to take fresh air after long boring lectures.Prachi and Sukruti also made their way out.at the entrance Prachi could see Milind leaning on his car and smiling.She thought it was another illusion after the boring lecture. "Sukruti zara dekhar bathado mujhe ki waha Milind kada hai kya nahi"( Sukruti just see and tell me that Milind is standing there or not) pointing towards the entrance. "ha…………….." ,before completing her sentence Sukruti runs towards him. Before she could catch him up he moves forward and "hai Prachi, kaise ho tum" ( hai Prachi how are you) says Milind leaving Sukruti in the state of shock.
