Part 14
Exam fever was raising for Prachi and Sukruthi as it was final year for them in the college. They kept their enjoyment aside and started to be serious. Ayesha and Nandini were taking turns sleeping in Prachi's room on the order of Karan so they can take care of Prachi, who would not care for herself. Milind kept himself busy in his office work, so they both won't be disturbed. Sukruthi finally overcame through the disturbances that were created during the past few days. Anyhow Milind and Prachi were contacting each other more often but their conversation was for a few minutes only.
That day Milind came home early to give sudden inspection on her sister to see her progress in her studies. This was usual as he did it for every exam of hers. He though neglected anything but was very strict when it comes to studies. He went to her room and saw her that she was totally immersed in her studies. He entered the room and sat beside her.
" teri paadayi kaise chal rahi hey", Sukruthi just nodded her head signaling that everything was fine with her still immersed in her book. "lagtha hai kit um dono combined studies nahi karthe" Milind continued flipping her books that were on the bed. "till last exams we did , but this time Prachi was bit busy,so I didn't want to disturb her." Sukruthi actually lied. She didn't like her brother disturbing both of them especially Prachi, who she thinks she deserves the right to be left alone during the examinations.
"kaho tho Prachi ko yeha bulalethe hai, tum dono combined studies karsakthe hai na", " par bhaiyya abhi isse waqt………………….."before Sukruthi finishes off the sentence, Milind dails Shah Mansion Number and hands over it to Sukruthi "yehi bhi bolna ki mein waha aakar Prachi ko pick up kartha hoon". He stood up and walked towards the entrance of the room.
Few hours later Milind was back with Prachi. Seeing Prachi , Sukruthi ran towards her and hugged her. "aise behave kar rahi ho ki tum Prachi ko saalo baad milrahi ho", Milind said in disgusting tone. Both of silently went into Sukruthi's room and engrossed in their studies. After having dinner, Milind went into their room to check on them. He sees that both were flipping the books seriously one after another and looking each other's face in a confusion. He went inside and sat beside Prachi, snatched the book from her hand " kya problem hai, kya mein help kar sako".
"ye topic hum dono ko samjh mein nahi aa raha tha,"Prachi points out the topic in the text book. "arey kitna easy hai", he starts explaining. After explaining "tum dono brains heat hogaye the issliye tumhe kuch nahi samjh mein nahi aarahethe. Ek kaam karthe , ek short walk lethe hai,just till the end of the road ,you both will feel better." Sukruthi jumped with joy as she felt that she needed some break after the hectic studies. "aise aathi hai kya, kuthe teri peche padenge, change to kar phele", Milind says looking at Sukruthi, who was in her night dress.
A few minutes later, three of them were on an isolated street. Prachi was between Sukruthi and Milind. They were silently walking enjoying the fresh air and the atmosphere. Prachi and Milind, both of them unknowingly were walking side by side so closely that their hands started to brush each others, they started to take quick glances of each other. Sukruthi was going on talking continuosly but both of them were in their own world. Suddenly Milind grabs Prachi's hand and both started walking holding each other's hand. Sukruthi whose unaware of everything going spots a coffee shop nearby. "bhaiyya appke wallet mein paise hain na", Before he could reply or say anything, She grabs Prachi's other hand and pulls her in. Milind lets loose of her hand that he was catching a minutes before, in a disappointment.
After seeing them going inside , he also makes way to inside. Sukruthi had already left for getting the coffee for three of them. He sits beside Prachi. Her face was already deep red in colour and was blushing. Before he could say something Sukruthi had returned with coffee mugs. "Prachi kal tum tujh sang………. dekhi thi kya , uusme Vrinda ko dekhi, ek thapad dene layak the,itna boring hai, Yug ko help nahi karthi , uss Sarath aur usski girlfriend ko( I don't remember her name) milna ki wajah lambi bashan dethi rahthi hai." Hearing this, "ab mere jeevan mein tum Virnda ban ker ayyi ho, jab dekho mere aur Prachi ke beeche kadhe haothe ho", Milind was insulting under his breathe.
"hey serial ka bhoot jab utharegi tumhe, padayi bhi karni hai na, exams nahi likhne ke irrada hai kya. Coffee katham hogye tho chale." He stood up and paid for coffee and started towards the entrance. Both followed him, sukruthi cracking silly jokes back of him.
He suddenly turns back and sees Prachi laughing. He stood there as if like a frozen statue. He was mesmerized by her laugh. She was looking more beautiful, with the dim lights falling on her and when they came out he saw she looking more beautiful than inside. He lifts his head towards the moon and looks and her and gives a small sparkling smile and sees the sky and drools his eyes and starts walking.

"Arey bhaiyya kaha ja rahe aap, ghar tho iss taraf hai waha tho dead end hai." Sukruthi did not understand where her brother was going.
