Ekta Kapoor, who was never tech savvy and shied away from the computer, has suddenly got hooked onto a laptop.
The Soap Queen, despite running a huge television empire, could never get herself to surf the net or explore the virtual world. 'I didn't even know how to open an email account for myself,' Ekta admitted to BT.
But that's a thing of the past. She is fast emerging as the new techie on the block. 'I can't believe what's happening! My laptop's on most of the time. I have opened myself up to a whole new world and it's fantastic. Imagine, I was away from it all this while!' she exclaimed.
One of Ekta's current interests on the internet is a popular networking site. The moment the telly industry got whiff of Ekta being on the site, friendship requests started pouring in. On one day, she got 300! 'I can't accept so many,' smiled the TV Czarina.
But in her busy schedule now, she's managed to squeeze in computer time! Welcome to cyberia, Ekta!
