Who are the real audience of K serials?

As some of you know, this is my first K serial and I dare not start watching another. I think most of the people in this forum are hardcore romantics and only here for Michi's beautiful love. Or some others might be here for Shabbir's acting skills (a few for Panchi's or other's...)....
But in general, none of us are really happy with the stupid plots, inconsistent characterization or the bloopers that appear in every episode.
That makes me wonder how Ekta still makes money and how people still tolerate her. Is it because there is nothing better to watch for Indian audience (along with many NRI and other south asian country audience)?
What are your thoughts on it?

I hav been watching kekta serials since i was 7 yrs old.....dats like more than half of my life........😆

i used 2 follow kahani and kyunki 4rm begining nd then KTH and now kayamath for some reason i luv dem wtevr they showed!.....bt now dat i m sooo attached 2 michi i h8 wat they show!

even im wondering who watches all this......i gess many ppl....its like once u r hooked u cant stop watching

shubs..i recall reading a interview of Ekta long back , she said that she makes serials for the masses( indian house wives) !

Kimmi, it saddens me if this is what they want to show Indian housewives.. "patriarchy, helpless women and compromising lives".

Ira I have already stopped watching KYM, except for Chinnu baby scenes.. If Shabbir was to leave the show, I would have left it too.

I watch two or three of K show but KYM is the only show that I truly love and can sit to tallk about alll night long.

if you thinkg kayamath is bad, you havn't see bidaai, its NO 1 show in india, ( thats how popular that show is )in the show one sister has a darker complexion while the other one is lighter. parents have a hard time getting a rishta for the dark complexion daughter, although she has every quality that a good indian daughter should have( i can't believe this is what they are showing and people are buying it)

Kimmy, Bidai has a far more believable story than KYM. Colur complexion is still an issue in many families in India. One just has to read the matrimonial columns to know how deep the colour prejudice runs.

bt ppl rele dun care abt dat......they just love the couples and both their couples r 2gedar or going 2 get 2gedar and even if they r seperated they r not seperated in such low ways........like our michi is......😭
