I know that those red and white bangles are a symbol of marriage in Bengali culture. One Bengali friend of mine gifted them to me but told me to wear them only after I get married. The white one is made up of sea shell I guess.

You have no idea what its like to live in my house...my friends come over and go home with a stomach cramp...all thanks to the way my family interacts. We crack on each other with every sentence. No formalities.

yeah subha u are absoulutely right dat bangle is called as sankha &each &every bengali women wear it No Bengali marriage is complete without the Sankha bangle m glad dat milind removed it
