Hi everyone.
I just got a message asking all Kayamath viewers to post your comments on the leap in one thread and the comments will be passed onto SBS.
Express what you liked and what you didn't like and what you don't want to see.

Now just keep in mind that we are a civil bunch of people😆😳 I am serious.
Say what you want to say in a clean language. No name calling, bashing in this thread.
I'll be asking the mods to make this a sticky.

JC...since you asked for it so nicely...here are my logical and illogical thoughts on the leap!

Viewers like me liked Kayamath not because of its gripping storyline!! The whole story with Partial Amnesia track, the mother track are the same things that we have seen again and again in BT shows. The only reason i watch this show is because of the lead actor (Shabbir) and his awesome acting as Milind Mishra. If not for him and his chemistry with Panchi Bora I and several other viewers would have quit this show a long time back.

1. We love this show in spite of its storyline because of Milind...Who was the best husband anyone could ever have and because of Prachi who was the ever dutiful wife...
2. We love this show b'cos of Michi...Michi...Michi....Michi and Michi alone
3. We love this show b'cos of Ayesha and Prachi ...the 2 sisters who were poles apart... We really miss sanju and her acting.. She is one of the finest actresses that this show ever had.
4. We loved this show because of Alaap who was a brat...Bharat was one guy who was not given enough scope. He was one in the long list of talents that was never explored in this show like several other tracks which were left midway/

7. We loved this show because of Neev who was a great friend..One guy whom you could always count on
8. We love this show because of Sukriti..and her pregnancies...

But with the new leap, We don't like the characters that were introduced. The familiarity and the love that we had for the characters are no longer there. We the viewers can't relate to this Prachi/Panchi whoever this girl is. We really want our old Prachi Mishra and Milid Mishra back! This leap is not what we expected it to be! If my guess is right and this new Panchi is actually the real Panchi with Prachi Mishra's face then i would say "creatives you can do much better than this"...Think of a better storyline... Why couldn't it have been prachi working in calcutta and Milind's ends up being the boss...I hope everyone understands that simplicity is what a story needs..not some convoluted storyline...If there was to be a freshness to the Michi storyline then it could have been done this way...and the shah parivaar should have been left intact😳

Also, If Milind is going to make an entry..he better be the same guy we saw when he came back from Turkey..the ruthless, arrogant businessman who wedded for revenge. We have had enough of the crying Milind Mishra. The last couple of months the creatives have butchered a talented actor like Shabir and his acting skills.

This leap for it to survive it needs to have a stronger and gripping storyline with Milind coming back as his best. Not a whiny, crying Milind whom we all are fed up of. Prachi better me somewhere alive waiting for Milind. We viewers cannot accept a prachi who has forgotten her family when all this while the creatives have shown that her life revolves around her husband and family. This about face is same as some the tracks we have had to endure just to watch Shabir's acting and Michi's chemistry.

Above all...we loved it because it was Shabbir who brought the character of Milind to life and Panchi who brought the character of Prachi to life....If these 2 are not together this show without any storyline is going to be in the dumpster sooner than later...

When we watched the interviews on SBS ..we really thought the creatives had really thought of a new storyline but with the bengali dressing and everything the serial has regressed back to the 18th century. We have already seen the bengali storyline is several other shows from the BT stables. A welcome change would have been a Madisar Maami from tamil nadu...that would have at least been a comic relief rather than watching the same thing again and again!

finally, all i got to say don't disappoint the viewers and their expectations. If this is another BT show like what we have seen in the past then it will not take us long to ditch the show that we have loved so far because of Michi alone.😳One more thing when you decide to bring in characters, please ensure that the names are voicable. Even till date i can't get the kids names straight in my head!

the leap is so confusing, just can't make a head or tail out of it, as who is who and what is what.
i am terribly missing michi and milind/shabbir.

The leap left me wondering where am i.

Am i in 18 century did they all got us in some timemachine and took to some victorian age...but later the way they r showing the scenes again i thaught r these mainly Sandy again took us in time machine to 22 century as anather mans wife is happliy rommancing with anather woman hubby.

they showed the same woman who is pinning and going to any extent for her hubby love but how come the same girl is giggling laughing and rommancing the other guy and faking or gotten married to the man when her hubby is wondering on roads and even died pinning for her.

Sandy sir is thios the Unique story u wanted to show us...is this what u want to show the young generation.

Is this what u called NEW FLAVOUR in MICHI story.

Is this not called as TARNISHING prachis image.

U have played with MoralS and ETHICS and even with the instiution of marriage.

We dont want the new guy as lead.

we want SHABBO-PANCHI pair back.

How come u r marketing saying it is MICHI love story eand showing Prachi-Protteek rommancing...IT IS DISGUSTING.

U successfully killed MICHI.

Without shabbo-panchi(SHACHI) THIS SHOW IS NOTHING BUT A CRAP.

PLEASE DONT DARE TO SHOW SOME CREEPY ROMMANTIC SCENES as for us it is ADULTRY as we still believe in MICHI.but showing some creepy scenes YOU killed MICHI.

Even u show MICHI rommancing it will be like Extra-Marital Affair only as Prachi is known as Proteek wife to the society and she is living as his wife for 5 yrs .

Cant u people for once show the mainlead even she is seperated from her hubby bringing up the kid as a singel mother....how many r not rising their kids as singel mother now a days,,,instead of showing this u people showed us the lead getting married or faking marriage with anather man...is this the respect u r showing to females in the society......so for u people woman cant bring her kid singel handely and she is so weak that she have to cross her maryada for the sake of her kid...disgusting and insulting track.....

Cant u show Prachi as a modren working mom ,,,when will u guys show the real 21 century woman in ur serials......who has ethics,morals and self-respect and dignity of her own.

U people dont want to solve Inder and Ayeesha murders...their killers were left loose on the society. Why u r all concentrating is how to make female lead bed with some other guy...is this the only thing which will be keeping ringing into ur sadeela bhega.....on the name of creativity.

So Kicked Shabbir out of the serial on the name of rest and break he needed..... and got some other guy for the parallel lead with Panchi......we CANT TAKE THIS GUY as a lead with Panchi.

What is the need to make MICHI kid called anather guy PAPA.....We cant bear it and u people happily butchered each and every character so much that it cant be repaired.

WE WANT SHABBIR BACK.

We want him back as Ruthless MilindMishra.....but what will we do as u people already tarnished Prachi character ....what ever u people do u cant get the old CHARM of MICHI back.

U PEOPLE RUINED MICHI CHARM AND BEAUTY BY MAKING PRACHI MARRIED AND BEDDING AND ROMMANCING PROTEEK.

After watching Kayamath on Thursday, I felt that I was watching something which I couldn't relate to at all. This is sad, because I have been an avid viewer of this show for more than a year. Everything seemed so different- and not in a good way, but on the contrary, it made me feel disgusted!
My first objection is with a separation. But even if there is a 5 year separation, why does Prachi have to be married or even pretend to be married to some one else? Alright, she might have her reasons for it, but whatever the reason maybe, why is she all of a sudden getting so familiar with her 'new husband'? There was not a trace of Prachi Mishra in her. Panchi looked 'alien' to me.. Where is the Prachi who would live for Milind?
Why is it that Prachi will be seen enjoying with another man and another family, when her husband will live a life of sorrow and misery for 5 long years? And why is that new comer Gaurav saying that he is now going to make Prachi smile and laugh all the time? Who IS he?!
Thirdly, why has such a wonderful supporting cast been done away with? Jay we all know was quitting, but then why couldn't they retain the other characters? Perhaps Baba and Dadi had to go, thats still understandable, but then why the same with the others- Alaap, Soumya and Sukriti? We want them back! These new actors who constitute the Dasgupta family, are no where close to the previous actors.
Thursday's episode was more like a mockery of Bengali culture- with the actors mouthing the most disgusting pronuncitations, reciting the most insipid 'shaayaris' and wearing the most ridiculous outfits! They were total MISFITS!
Lastly Kayamath is what it is because of Shabir and Panchi essaying the roles of Milind and Prachi...Michi are the life and soul of Kayamath, and the serial has nothing in it without them..
All I can say is that I want my Michi BACK!

we were promised something unique, but the creatives just seem to be recycling their old story lines, separating michi in the process. what irks me is that 2 people who cant live without one another have been shown separated for 5 years and a man who desperately wanted a child with his wife has been deprived of his son, that to me is inhumane!

Well for starters the biggest question that strikes one's rational brain would be "WHAT WAS THE NEED FOR A LEAP?" With so many storylines waiting to be worked on the creatives have conveniently bundled them up and shifted from Mumbai to Kolkatta, I don't see any logic in it in the first place. The previous cast has been done away with as dirty dish water why? Were they not capable of playing their roles and chucking them out altogether is no justification. I for one watch Kayamath because of Milind Mishra and his wife Prachi Mishra christened Michi by us. Without them Kayamath is a sham and right now I do not see why the leap was ever gone ahead with. The creatives promised that Michi love would remain unscarred and untarnished yet the opening episode to the leap has Prachi Mishra acting as Panchi Dasgupta what was more offensive was her prancing and running around like a twelve year old with that newfound fake husband of hers. Now one woman who is SUPPOSED to be truly madly and deeply in love with her husband, one who claims to stop breathing without him by her side doing all this is JUST NOT ACCEPTABLE. The physical proximity between Proteek and Panchi is killing Michi and because we are people who are staunch believers in marraige as an institution. If the creatives have taken pains to create a pure untainted love story such as Michi's and have maintained the couple's chastity till now then why blow it shreds with such illogical scenes. Agreed Prachi needed help and Proteek provided her refuge but that does NOT ALLOW a married woman as in Prachi run and scamper around his house giving him full liberty to touch her. This is just not Done. I condemn such stupid behaviour and will not favour it in future too. How can a woman forget her husband of two years? Forget the love they shared to go to create a wonderful proof of their love as in their child.... how can she let that Proteek touch her..... My displeasure stems from the fact that Michi are the most wonderful couple on Telly right now they have managed to love and live each other their sacrifices and dreams cannot be brutally crushed just because one mad woman named Mallika said so. Mallika is not God, that damned Proteek is not Prachi's husband and I'm not bloody watching this show till Milind Mishra proclaims an untainted Prachi Mishra as rightfully his.

I had been the most excited with the news of this leap but what was dished out has left such a bad taste in my mouth.

1) Prachi's GLAM look takes her back a century or so. Which Bengali girl will dress like that in today's world unless its a traditional festival or something. And if Prachi was dressed like that only for the first epi...then where is the makeover. Do they call a makeup pasted face a makeover. NO thanx. We want our simple, elegant beautiful Prachi back.

2) This show gained popularity because of MICHI. And the reason MICHI are so loved by the audience is because of their untainted relationship. MICHI's marriage has been free of any extra-marital affairs, One-night-stands, Cross-marriages, or Fake marriages. MICHI were fully devoted to each other only and even unknowingly MIlind and Prachi have not broken the vows of marriage. But now with the "NEW HUSBAND AND HIS FAMILY" track...they have ruined the love that was so undefiled. More than that they have ruined Prachi Mishra's character. The Prachi Mishra who loved her husband above all else could not marry another man of her own will and be happily enjoying life with him while her husband roams around the streets like a devdas.

3) Considering that the audience doesn't know the reason behind Prachi and Proteek's marriage...if its a Fake/Pretend marriage, then pray tell how Prachi Mishra allows a stranger to get so physically close to her...why a grown woman, a married woman, a mother of a 4 years old, runs around like a teenager with a man who is not her husband or otherwise related to her.

Most of all I'd say the Leap has left the audience CONFUSED and HEARTBROKEN. Confused because we have no idea how things got to be the way they are, the new characters seem unrelatable. And heartbroken because our beloved MICHI seem tainted and their perfect image now seems broken, And Prachi the main character of this show has now fallen from grace.

the leap's story is horrendous and its preposterous of the creatives to think that we would accept panchi-proteek as the new couple when michi is the one that rules our hearts.

also panchi's makeover is totally ridiculous!! who dresses like that nowadays?? not even the bengali babes in this forum claim to dress the way she's doin in the show!

also the insensitivity shown to michi fans with the interviews and articles is really sad. how CAN panchi bora make a statement asking us to accept her "new pati" in the serial?

doesn't anyone in the balaji camp revere the institution of marriage? michi's popularity lies in its purity and i think its high time the creatives realise this. the clip shown with proteek pinnin prachi/panchi to the bed is so sickening and makes a joke of the whole sanctity of marriage!!

we viewers watch kayamath ONLY for michi and shabbir, there is no other reason for us to watch this show! and the reason michi is so popular is because multiple marriages, extra marital affairs weren't shown before this. but now because one line has already been crossed with proteek-prachi marriage, we feel there's no reason for us to continue watchin it anymore.

sandeep sickand needs to realise that there's only so much the viewers can take. it would not kill him to take our wishes into consideration. in fact, before the prachi-proteek clip was shown, we all were very much excited about the leap! we expected a glamourous makeover of panchi, a whole new "fresh" love story between michi, a cute michi kid...but what do we get? - panchi's makeover is disastrous! michi has got ruined because of the prachi-proteek marriage! and to top it all up - we have a michi kid whose name we cant even pronounce!!!

kayamath needs to grow up and Mr. Sickand needs to understand that viewers's emotions are not there to be played with.

WE WANT MICHI BACK!!

That is really sad news for Kayamat fans, honestly speaking, I never watched this serial, but got to know this through the pm, but infact I knew about the leap since long time!!!!!!!!!.......
