If you remember, they did the exact thing in KS...ruined a perfectly good storyline...and butchered it so badly, that it just wasn't even worth checking the updates for...
And before that, to Kahin Toh Hoga...
BT's USP is Saah-Bahu focused serials, where the lead heroine will be dressed in chamki sari's, wearing two dozen bangles and a painted face, either crying all the time or scheming against the entire house.🤢
No wonder, soaps like KSBKBT, KGGK are still so popular with the viewers...but core love stories, that were explored in soaps such as Kahin Toh Hoga, Kasamh Se and now Kayamath have always been spoilt! The only time, she did some amount of justice to a love story was in Kutumb...but that was a long, long time back! Even in a serial like KSBKBT, she messed up the love story between Karan and Nandini....
Ekta has a great knack for picking up the best actors and pairing them to creat memorable chemistry...but apart from that, she has absolutely no idea on how to handle the theme of love and emotions in a mature, sensitive manner!
They start out on a neutral note, where they try out different pairs for the audience in the same serial and when a certain pair starts getting more attention, they completely focus the story on them, leaving all the other characters out in the cold!
Then the Creative team puts in a few romantic, breezy scenes (which btw, are recycled in all her other soaps) the poor actors do the job they are told to do and when Ekta and her Team knows her audience has been hooked on seriously....there they go and drop the bomb
The latest love story doing the rounds is Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil....wait till she makes mince-meat out of it...🤢
