Glad your confusion was cleared Sia. Yes, the leap has really done good to show a firmly trusting Milind. Wouldn;t want that doubting Thomas act anymore. Prachi unfortunately has ot had it good though, considering that her charecterisation left much to be desired. Yes, Milind will surely knock some sense into Prachi just as she did earlier o in their marriage. I guess life is a cycle. Yesterday's strong character now appears to be weak and the weak character has gained in strength.

watched your new dialogue mix. Both Oct 15ths have been very high on emotional quotients.
Though at the end it's going to be Milind's conviction winning over Prachi's confusion, it's a shame that this has to happen. Looks like Milind has grown to truly love Prachi while Prachi has forgotten the importance of herself in Milind's life after giving him so much love that he couldn't think of anything other than her while she was away.

So did you like it or not Shubs? You were mentioning about a dialogue mix earlier did you not. When I watched the Oct 15th episode, I thought I'll make one to compare and contrast the two episodes. Ofcourse I had to alter the sequences to match with the contrasting bits. I did this since the objective was not to tell the story but to presume that the story is known, giving instead the flavour of the characters as portrayed in their dialogues.
Yes, Prachi has made Milsi fall hopelessly in love with her and now the poor guy is left stranded. Hope he soon drills some sense into her and helps find an amicable (relatively) solution to this problem.

Opti...brilliant. I can't wait to more additions see the then and now series. Hmm..I love the growth in Milind's character, he has come a very long way thanks to Prachi's unconditional love and ofcourse her conviction as you highlighted inthe vid. The thought that was running through my mind as I watched the then and now mix, is that Prachi Milind Mishra is lost in her Panchi Dasgupta avatar, only reaffirms for me atleast that her priorities are misplaced..a year back it was Milind and his, their family family, now it is Panchi and her family. A year ago, it was Prachi that stressed the importance of their Michi's marriage rituals to Milind who was spitting venom back then, and today, it is Milind who is stressing on those saath vachans and displayed a lot of patience and understanding..👏👏. I can't wait the battle between Love vs duties/obligations shapes up in Kayamath..goes without saying I want Milind to win the battle so we get our Prachi back.

Yes I had mentioned to you about a dialogue mix. What I had in mind was to collect dialogues that showed the progression of Michi falling in love.

While I appreciated the way you have compared and contrasted the two episodes, I felt very uncomfortable watching it. The mix made me get some weird thoughts which I didn't like.😕..I am not very clear about those thoughts myself.. but let me try explaining them.

Milind was super jealous then to see Prachi with Neev. Even now he is jealous- rather badly hurt to see her with Proteek now. But the good difference is he is not doubitng Prachi though he knows she was in Pro's room for 5 years. This is the same Milind who doubted Prachi just becasue he saw her with Neev for a few moments. But then considering her history with Neev, his suspicions were not completely uncalled. In total, Milnd's love for Prachi has grown great heights. His understanding of her has immensely increased too.

On the other hand, Prachi had similar dialogues to defend herself in both episodes. In 2007 episode she said she cares so much about Mishra family, Sukruti etc.. now she is saying she cares about DG family. That way her character is consistent. BUT, that made me feel- then what dfference did her love for Milind make?
When Michi married, Prachi was the perfect wife from day one.. She did everything a wife would do for him as she thought it was her responsibility. While Milind fell for her goodness and selfless kind nature, Prachi accepted him as her husband and romantically got involved with him too. Now she is with Proteek, she is doing everything for Proteek and his family in a simiar way she did for Milind's family except that she is not romantically involved with Proteek. So is the difference between Proteek and Milind in Prachi's life is just that romantic aspect? She lied about her being a mother of a kid for Milind and his family's sake. Now she is lying about her own identity for Proteek and his family's sake. She did her best to arrange Suk's marriage with Saket while she also did her best to get Pro's brother engaged to that girl.

I don't know if I am clearly able to say what I want to say. I was under the impression that Prachi did all those good things and great sacrifices when she was with Milind, becasue she LOVED Milind. Now she is doing similar things for Pro's family.. I am feeling so weird about Prachi.

Do you see what I mean? During the leap Prachi was doing everything for the DG family a daughter in law would do, she was doing everything for Proteek too except being romantic with him (as we could see Pro is so impressed by Prachi that he was telling everyone how much she has helped him in his success in a similar way Milind was talking about her in Mallika's party- and Prachi was smiling in both occasions). She has done all this by heart and that's why she is so attached to the DG family today that she cares so much about them. It hurts me to think Prachi is the same with Pro and Milind and their families except that one difference.

It's not my conclusions about Prachi, just momentary thoughts.

Thanks Yasmin. Seeing the lukewarm response to the mix so far, wasn't sure if people liked it. Glad you did. As I said, I have one more in mind but it will take some time since I will be busy.
Coming to the mix itself yes, Milind character has really grown and Prachi's hand in it is there for all to see. The guy himself readily acknowledges it. As you said Prachi is too lost in Panchi to realise where her priorities lie. But to me it is not duty versus love because it is duty on the one hand versus love and duty on the other for she does have a duty to her husband to whom she has pledged her life. It is sad that Milind had to remind her of it. As far as the track goes I am happy because apart from giving Shabbo scope to perform, it would also give scope for Milind to win Prachi over. All along it was the other way around. Whatever it is I hope they steer clear from a revenge track because then it would just become repetitive.

Opti....i'll comment here...coz friggin' utube is going bonkers and won't let me comment.....same thing with Jessu's and Prats' mixesss.....grrr, so annoyed now!!
Then and now--
That was spectacular!! So good!! but nothing can compete 15th oct. 2007!! i'll comment only for shabbir coz prachi is plain annoying me!!
Then--
Shabbir-that one epi is sooo beautiful!! the emotions portrayed by Shabbir were on such a wide spectrum....from jealousy, rage, understanding (when atleast Miss oyester-haha-opens her clamped mouth open :P), helplessness to making her understand the depth of his emotions and all his unreasonable behavior stems from his love....so much so that he goes ahead and kisses her!!
Appearance-he looked more rugged then also coz he was trying to learn the ropes of the business world. also i think he got all defensive and raging mad when his background was always put to the fore so i think he wanted to maintain atleast one thing that was something his own--his appearance. i think the creatives wanted to show the contrast b/w the two....him being this hawtt beast-oh yeaahhh :P- and her being this doll-like beauty!! Panchi looked really goood then.....i think she looked betta last year!!
Now--
Shabbir-i won't talk too much abt this year....coz its been so much in the talks of late!! :P i am glad that this time its him who's had to take the heat from the unyielding partner....he's being put to test! and at last i'm glad the sacrifices that prachi made for him were all for naught!! so am glad...as for Prachi...lets not go there!! :DD he is exceptional in the video @ 5.05!!
Appearance--Milind definitely looks more refined now!! it tells that altho the guy was lost for the past 5 years he became comfortable with his position in the business world and didn't have to highlight the difference b/w himself and the rest of the crowd...
Thanx Opti for that!! :DD

Opti...I think they are going for a realisation track.. not a revenge track...since all my guesses about Kayamath have come out wrong, this guess maybe another one.. But I think Milind will be a little hmm ruthless now, a little more stern, as Milind said himself whenever he asked for something nicely, lovingly, usee kuch nahi mila (Thurs epi)..so I think he will be a bit more shrewd now.

akka...the dialog mix was a bit confusing😕 I was trying to figure out the message throughout...though i knew you were showing the difference between their attitude then and now ...i really didn't see what it was until i saw the message at the end. Then it made sense. Personally am not a fan of such a mix...but i will give you credit for one thing...it gave me a different prespective to the current issue. And i think i needed that because i was getting fantical in my defense for Prachi. Not that i think any less of her...but i see it from your view point now...and thats an accomplishment because all that discussion yesterday didn't do it for me.

Opti, this is brilliant....something very innovative that you have done.

What a contrast indeed!! Its like Milind is explaining/reminding about their marriage/love now as compared to Prachi doing the same last year. But anyway the situation is very different right now. Loved the question that you asked at the end of the video...very true. I feel that right now she is trying her best to ignore Milind's pain for the sake of kids and DG family's happiness but she wont be able to see him like that for long. Hope Milind will make her realize soon.

So this is the first in the series of 'Then and Now'? I am very eager to see the next one.

So that is the reason for your subdued response. I knew when I embarked on this adventure (which is looking like more a misadventure now since I only ended up confusing people with what I wanted to convey), that it is going to be a tall task getting my message across since the scenes of the two episodes are similar yet so different and the characters have undergone a sea change. Initially I thought of captioning each 'then' and 'now' scene to give the essence of it but then it was becoming too tedious and I thought the dialogues themselves will do the explanation. Anyway this mix is certainly not one for relaxation as one needs to hear the dialogues keenly to get the message as the association does not come immediately.
Coming to Prachi's behaviour, your take on it is completely different from the way I see it. The lines about the sindoor said then and now gives the impression she still holds her marriage to Milsi in high esteem. Her emphasis on her love for him shows she still feels the same way. What appears to have changed is that she seems to now accord the same place she did to Suki and her father-in-law to Panchi and her family. I don't agree with the interpretation though. Then she did it both out of a sense of duty to Milind who was her real husband and love for him. While I accept that when she started off the duty aspect predominated, it was when the love took over that his pain became hers, a point she mentioned when she said Suki's hurt cause her pain because it it hurts him in the 'then' scene.
Now coming to her emphasis is on the D-family. I don't see this as a consistence in her behaviour because this is not how Prachi would have behaved. To Prachi her husband is paramount. She will subject herself to any torture if she has to safeguard his well being. Both love and duty deems her to be with her husband, a point Milsi tried to drive home to her by making her remember both her promises to him and her love for him. It may appear consistent because it looks like how a married woman would behave. The only difference is here she is not married to Proteek but to Milind. So her obligation is to Milind and not to Proteek's family. Then why is she stuck with the argument she cannot leave the D-family? I think because she is too deep in play-acting Panchi for 5 years. So the duty aspect of Panchi has taken her over. The love aspect of Panchi has not crept in because she is still very much in love with her own husband as was evident in the scenes where she says that every moment of their time apart she was thinking of him and praying for his well being. I don't think the love aspect of Panchi will ever take over her no matter how long she spends her time with the D-family, the reason being Milsi has full control of her senses.
On the surface both situations (her marriage to Milind and her fake marriage to Proteek) look similar but they are not. When she married Milind, it was a real marriage. Since Prachi accords great importance to the institution of marriage, she removed Neev out of her mind the day she married Milind. A girl who could not remove him when he himself got married to Ayesha appeared to have trouble taking him out of her mind because her will power and beliefs were so strong. So falling in love with Milind was not difficult (although his behaviour did make it difficult) because her heart was empty of romantic love for anybody. The situation is totally different now. She is not married to Proteek and more importantly her heart is not empty. So there is no way she can fall in love with Proteek in the process of discharging her duties as a wife or a daughter-in-law.
At the end of the day, Prachi's behaviour this time around only underlines that she has lost her identity as Prachi in play acting Panchi. I am glad Milind was able to see the reason for her behaviour and has not got disillusioned with his wife. The last lines said it all. He will extinguish Panchi from Prachi before he takes her back. In the battle between Panchi and Prachi he will emerge victorious.
I hope I made my point clear atleast now if not in my VM.
P.S.: Didn't realise the post would become so long. Hope you have the patience to read it through!
