"Adhi" called kavya in a weak feeble voice,

but adhi was deaf and full of anger which was not adhi's thing.. jhumki helped kavya to stand but only to discover that she couldnot stand on her feet and cried in pain finally bringing adhi's attention towards her, " kavya? are you okay" rushed adhi towards her helping her to stand with support of his shoulder, kavya's tears kept flowing as she was scared of the disaster she faced, adhi picked her up in his arms unable to see her in pain.. and walked all the way to the finish line where kavya's team mates were being enquired about her absence for which they were making excuses of her inability..

" Liars" shouted adhi at top of his voice dragging everyones attention towards him and kavya in his arms.. he dropped her safely on a chair and gave an angry look to team 6.. meanwhile the rescue team sent a message regarding the accident and happening to Mrs Sahani..

one among the team 6 mate was a muscular man called rudra the one who was the root of all vulgarity and the one who took them all through the short cut..

"See madam because she is slow or incompetent you cant disqualify our hardwork" complained rudra pissing off adhiraj more..

adhi in his rage attacked him like a tiger knocking him down.. he was about to hit him second time when the other students held him and seperated.. "calm down adhiraj" said Mrs Sahani, "Miss who was responsible if kavya.." stopped adhi in between, Mrs sahani tried to calm him down and gave him some water.. "Adhi we will enquire about this dont worry, kavya is safe now" assured her.

Adhi tried to control his breaths and calm his palpitations, medical team came to the spot taking kavya and adhi for checkup..

Doctors Room

"kavya your xray is good" said doctor while examining her leg.. "must be a sprain please no pressure on foor for next three days" ordered doctor while kavya noded yes and kept looking at adhi who was getting his wound dressinh done which he got while saving kavya.. adhi was still quite and not talking, doctor and nurse went out leaving them alone in the room..

" thankyou so much adhiraj" said kavya

adhi looked at her with his anger filled eyes, while kavya looked away trying to avoid them, she tried to get up from her bed to get the glass of water which was kept on table at some distance but suddenly stopped as adhi handed over the glass to her. " just now doctor prohibited you from getting on your legs" reminded adhi in a angry tone. while kavya said nothing and just noded,

adhi sat beside her took a deep breath and turned towards her, noticed her tears drooling over her cheek, "kavya dont cry, everything is okay now" said him in a sort caring voice, he forwarded his hand to wipe her tears but kavya moved back not allowing adhi to touch, adhi realised that kavya was hurt because of his indifferent behaviour from yesterday, he kneeled in front of her while she looked away, "kavya look at me please" said adhi trying to hold her cheek, but kavya moved back again " please adhi, dont behave like a maniac one day you are a friend other day stranger and again today you didnt care about your life just jumped to save me.. what if some what have happened to you in doing this" bursted kavya.. adhi stared at her in silence and dragged her in a tight hug, kavya started crying tightening their hug, adhibstroked her back and gently tapped her head trying to comfort her, but screamed in pain kavya realised and broke their hug looking for adhi's wounded arm and hand.. " I am so sorry Adhi" cried kavya trying to comfort him and examining his wound.. adhi smiled and wiped her tears, tucked her disturbing hairs behind ear and lifted her face holding her chin.. " I am okay kavya" assured him again..

Mrs sahani jhumki and few other Ots came inside

"Adhi we have enquired all the details.. it was rudras mistake he deviated everyone from the original path and took them towards the cliff we have restigated him for a few days so dont worry" assured Mrs Sahani.

"and Kavya hope you are fine now" enquired Mrs Sahani..

kavya nodded her head and smiled..

"come on Ots van is ready lets get back to our campus" declared sahani and left.. Adhi helped kavya in getting off the bed and bent down to pick her up but kavya refused as he was already hurt, but adhi ignore and picked her in his arms, kavya was drowsy dur to the painkiller injections and slowly drifted off to sleep.. adhi smiled looking at her and blew ber hair disturbing her face and smiled while admiring her in his arms..

Campus- Dean office

Dean- How can such a Big incident take place? and with whos permission did you restigate Rudra? do you have any idea how influential he is?

Mrs Sahani- he broke the rules sir, because of him one of our Ot could have lost her life

Dean- I dont know anything, cancel those restigation orders, and punish that girl for her immature and non team spirit

Mrs Sahani noded her head in disgust and left his office

adhi was also listening to their conversation from outside and looked at Mrs Sahani, " I am sorry adhi.. I have to cancel his punishment but be assured I wont let them punish kavya, she will be safe" said her and left from there dissapointed.

"its okay miss if you cant punish him, how dare he messed with my kavya I wont leave him that easily" mumbled adhi with a smirk

Night Kavya room.

"haan maa , I am okay now just slipped on th floor got some sprain doctor said everything is okay" assured kavya over call

"we are really worried for you please take good care of your self" said her mother.. kavya smiled on the video call

"Kavya" called shubham her pheoncy from the itger side of screen, kavya looked at him and waved Hi

" shubham looked around if anybody is listening to then and carried the phone away,

" we were also worried listening about your accident, so rushed to your home" informed shubham

kavya smiled and nodded positively,

" Kavya everything will be alright, we are missing you so much" said shubham, kavya gave a smile

" how are you?" asked her

shubham got a big smile over his face it was the second time kavya spoke to him in all his life

" I am also good Kavya" replied shubham and kept staring at Kavya.. kavya smiled " I will talk to you later need to sleep" said her disconnecting the call

she gave a sigh and leaned back on her pillow.. recalling her past

shubham and kavya were neighbours, he was 10 uears elder to her and always followed her on way to school, kavya felt over protected, but chose to ignore, one day shubham stopped her on the way and proposed her but kavya didnt reply and ran towards her home scared,

next day when she returned from school his neighbour uncle shubham's dad and all elder of the village were gathered at her home, when she enquired about the reason from her mother, he was given a laddoo in her mouth and everybody was dancing in joy her mother came and hug her tightly with mixed emotions that her marriage is now fixed with shubham.. Kavya was surprised she just gave her 10th exam and now fixing of marriage? she had very big dreams and these people were trying to tie her..

after a few months of engagement, shubham was as usual following her to the college, while kavya stopped in middle and turned towards shubham, "can I request you something?" asked kavya.. shubh was overwhelmed as it was the first time kavya spoke to him. He excitedly nodded his head in positive. " I want to be an IAS officer and dont want to marry before that" requested kavya, shubh stood still without any reply, kavya was disheartened of his silence and resumed her journey to college.. the other day when she returned home again everyone wer sitting in her veranda making her tensed and she was scared what if they arrange her marriage now itself, but to her relief his father came towards her and informed that "shubham ji wants that you should become a big officer and then only he will fix his date of marriage with you"

kavya nodded in relief and smiled and walked to her bedroom closing the door.. taking a long breath.

" kavya bansal the only dream you are allowed to live is to become an IAS, let not be the groon of your choice but atleast he agreed for this" mumbled her

kavya snapped out of the flashback when jhumki came with her medicines

kavya thanked her..

" I believe adhi has feelings for you" said jhumki listening to which kavya forcefully spitted our water from her mouth..

" what made you say that" asked kavya concerned

" you dont think so? the way he jumped to save you least bothered about himself, the way he looks at you and many of his acts" explained jhumki..

"no, he is kind and we met on the way gelled very well, spent first day together so he is a genuine friend, and regarding his flirting and all i believe its his personality" assured kavya

" if he was an all time flirt, he would have donr it with me also or atleast with any other girl from team 3" said jhumki.

"no jhumki you are having some misunderstanding" kavya tried to refute "its okay.. I was just saying what I felt, but even if it happens to be isnt it good he is so charming and caring" said jhumki

"I am engaged jhumki" informed jhumki... "what? really? with whom? asjed jhumki surprised

"he is my dad's friend's son", said her, "looking at your face anyone can say that you are not happy" said jhumki..

"I dont know, but this is my future and I have to accept it" said kavya pullibg blanket over her head to sleep.

jhumki switched off the light and left the room dissapointed

night Adhi's room:

adhi was lost in all day events..

except for the accident part which scared him to the core rest everything was so memorable for him, their first hug, him wiping his tears, touching her hair, carrying her in his arms looking at her face and all he could recall,

" I cant run from my feelings now, I am in love with you Kavya" mumbled adhiraj to himself and drifted off to sleep with a smile

next day morning

Adhiraj was waiting for kavya and jhumki, he had kept a table captured for them, a broad smile crept over his face seeing kavya coming. she was limping with support of jhumki.. Adhi held her abd helped her till table they all smiled at each other that is when a Pune came into canteen with a wheel chair and asked kavya to sit on it as Mrs Sahani wants to meet her.. kavya nodded positive and sat on wheelchair.. pune took her leaving jhumki and adhi on breakfast table.. adhi kept looking at kavya till she dissaleared from his sight, jhumki who was noticing this broke the silence, "do you know Adhi, she is engaged" this make adhi has a bad cough, "what?" asked adhi.. it was the biggest shock for him

" I can understand you were developing feeling for her I noticed it, but I got to know last night itself that she is engaged when we were discussing about you" said jhumki..

" discussing about me? what?" asked adhi

" I shared that I believe you like her for which she replied that she is engaged" clarified jhumki..

adhi was in shock and dissapointed, he didnt feel like eating further, " I am not well jhumki, I think I will take permission to rest" said adhiraj and left.

jhumki knew that he just had a heart break so didnt trked to console him either.

Mrs Sahani's office

"come kavya we were waiting for you" welcomed mrs sahani.. kavya was brought over wheelchair till the office by the pune, she noticed Rudra sitting on the chair with a rich looking arrogant man, probbly his father thought kavya,

"Kavya this is Mr Jagdish singh father if Rudra singh informed mrs sahani

"Kavya beta so unfortunate to know about the incident I hope you are fine, came to appologise on my son's behalf" said Mr jagdish

"its okay uncle" said kavya while rudra continued making faces and behaving like a stubborn I dont care wala child.

" okay then Mrs Sahani I will take a leave, take care of my son and make sure that this was the lasts time or else you wont be here the next time" said jagdish with a smile

Kavya was irritated by his attitude.. like father like son thought she,

Rudra left behind his father

"mam sorry for the trouble because of me" said kavya.. Mrs sahani caressed her head and assured that everything is under control." you need to take care of yourself" said sahani

kavya nodded

Adhis room

Mrs sahani knocked on the door, yes?" inquired aadhi

And realising its his incharge he welcomed her

"what happened Adhi i came to see if you are not well" asked sahani while examining him head to toe," yes mam its paining I just wanted to rest today" said adhi, "sure? do you need any medical assisstance?" asked her.. " No mam I will be okay" assured him

evening adis room

" you are engaged and you didnot tell me? " repeated adhi again and again.. picked up his phone and called his mother,

his mother got tensed listening to adhis painfull confession and tragedy,

"shall I come with your dad? asked his mother

" no maa i dont want to see him" adhi refused,

" I will come to meet you beta dont worry" confirmed his mother

After 2 days

Kavya's room,

kavya has recovered and now she could walk on her own, she checked her sprain by moving here and there and smiled.

she got ready and fetched her books started for canteen, where adhi and jhumki must be waiting, yesterday she didnot go out as special care was taken for kavya and breakfast lunch dinner was parcelled to her room, so she have not seen both since the day Mrs Sahani called her.

she reached the canteen all happy and chirpy as usual, collided with jhumki at the entrance and they both got happy seeing each other, "how are you feeling Kavya" enquired jhumki, "how do I look?" asked kavya spreadinh her hands giving a pose, jhumki smiled and hugged her,

they both headed to breakfast table, "did you see adhi?" asked jhumki.. for which she just nodded her head in negative,

"ohhhkk" said kavya and tried to search for him while having her food, she remembered the first day how she had to call him to wake him up, and a smile crept over her lips.. what if he is still sleeping thought her and immediately dialled his number but it went unanswered she tried again and again but it was unanswered she again trjed to vall jim but was stopped by jhumki, "kavya if he is not picking up your call I think he needs space, lets leave him alone" said jhumki

"space, alone?"frowned kavya,

" he left immediately after you left that day on wheelchair after that I only heard that he is not well that is why he is not attending classes.. the cleaner who was listening to their conversation from near table interupted them, "how are you kavya beta?" asked him, " I am good kaka thankyou for timely delivering food to my room" thanked her, cleaner smiled "I think adhi baba has still not recovered as today also i gave breakfast to his room, but all his plates are barely finished as if he had not eaten properly"informed the cleaner. "adhi is so unwell? I will go and see kaka thankyou so much for informing" said kavya hurriedly getging up from the table.. jhumki held her hand and stopped her, "first complete yoi breakfast then you can go", but kavya was adamant how can she leave adhi alone when he needed help, and kavy rushed to his room, she was about to enter the room when she saw gaurds standing near his door stopping her from getting inside, she introduced herself as an Ot from the same campus but still she was not allowed, "But I wasnt given so much security" thought she and on observing she saw they didnt belong to the campus they were personal bouncers, that is when Mrs Sahani came out with a lady in a beautifull elegant pastel colour saree, and left that lady in adhi's room.. Kavya who was watching this interupted her "goodmorning miss" " goodmorning kavya how are you feeling now?" "I am fine mam, what about adhi mam, how is he who was that lady and that guards?" enquired her impatiently

"Relax kavya, she is adhi's mother and its Adhi's personal guards, and he is fine but looks depressed may be because of the accident" informed Mrs Sahani

"I want to meet him" requested kavya " not now his mother requested privacy, meet him later" said Mrs sahani leaving kavya in ths corridor,

kavya was disheartened as she could not meet adhi and went back to her classroom.

Classroom

"so met him?" asked jhumki

kavya nodded negative and looked upset

"he refused to meet you?" asked jhumki " no, he didnot know I came to meet him, actually his mother visited him so his personal guards didnt allow me inside" informed kavya, "personal guards? woww what is his dad?" asked jhumki in amusement "I dont knkw we never had a talk abouy our families" said her, "hmm, similarly he didnt know that you are engaged" said jhumki, " nkw you again started" complained kavya "arey.! do you know after you left he was so restless about you absence so I informed him that you are engaged, listening to which his face expressions changed and he became upset, refused to eat and went back to his room, and havent seen him post that" reveled jhumki.." he must have not feeling well he had hurt on his arms" said kavya refusing to believe jhumki's reason, " your wish kavya, but the truth doesnt change if you deny"said jhumki and started concentrating in class.

kavya remained lost in her thoughts

its been a week kavya havent met adhi, Adhi came for classes and was clearly upset but he never approached kavya nor jhumki and never came to canteen post that.

kavya and jhumki visited library in the evening after the classes were over they sat on a table and opened their books to read, that is when jhumki realised that the lerson sitting opposite to them was adhi, and nudged kavya.. kavya realised too and ignored signing jhumki to study, adhi who was unaware of their presence looked ul casually and on noticing both of them in front immediately left the library with his books, kavya felt bad on adhi's behaviour and tried to concentrate on studies..

Next day

Kavya was walking alone in the corridor when she was stopped by Rudra "what was your name? kavya?" said rudra in an attitude full tone where as kavya kelt looking, "you must be happy for all the limelight, but i think you and your friend have gone too far" said Rudra, kavya ignored him and tried to walk past him but Rudra held her hand and pulled her "Ahh Rudra you are hurting me" complained kavya,

"when I talk you need to listen" demanded Rudra

" Dont ever try to mess with me" said him while holding kavya's hand forcefully and she trying to free herself, " we have not done anything" said kavya struggling to get out of his hold " you have no idea what I could do to you" warned Rudra " I know what kind of a person you are, like father like son" commented kavya, upsetting Rudra more, he lifted his hand to slap her forcefully but was stopped by a hand which belonged to none other but adhi, adhi held Rudra other hand too putting pressure at the wrist losing his grip on Kavya, kavya freed her self and moved back, "I think I was not clear when I said you should keep yourself away from her" said adhi in a low demanding tone, Rudra looked at him in anger, "aeee dont teach Rudra what to do and what not, you have no idea who is my dad" bragged Rudra.. adhi laughed at him "whoever he may be but beware, if you repeat this then I wont spare you" warned adhi leaving his both hands, Rudra gave a angry look to Adhi and kavya and walked off as he saw some officers coming.

"adhi" called kavya while adhi ignored and tried to leave but kavya held his hand " how are you?" asked kavya while adhi didnt respond, kavya was disheartened and left his hand , adhi shrugged his hand and not reacting to anything left from there. kavya looked at him walking all the way and returned to her room

kavya was very upset and decided not to ask or explain anything to adhi, but disturbed as he was again and again trying to protect her and least bothered about talking and clearing misunderstanding.

kavya saw her phone and started typing a message on her phone, it was for adhi "I dont know what has made you upset with me, but you were a dear friend to me and thankyou for saving me today but if you dont want to talk to me then please dont behave like a knight for me" messaged kavya.. adhi on the other side who was reading it made a face and threw his phone

days went by and one fine afternoon when kavya was going to her classroom, she slipped down due to some oil on the floor, "ouch" cried kavya in pain, Rudra came laughing and making fun of her, "looks like miss clumsy fell down again" said rudra, kavya looked at him and understood that oil was put by rudra.. she knew he was trying to provoke her so she didnt react to it and tried to get up from the floor but she got a sprain in leg once again and tried to hold something for support but what ever she tried to hold rudra pushed it away kicking it with his leg

kavya understood that he wants to trouble her so that she reacts to it but she didnt give any attention.. just then Rudra stepped his foot on kavya's sprained legs making her scream in pain.. " what do you want Rudra?" asked her in pain while Rudra just laughed at her and enjoyed her pain and added more pressure on her leg kavya felt unconcious with pain and rudra left from there smiling and satisfied.

after few hours

medical room

Adhi, Mrs Sahani and jhumki looked worried at doctor as he was examinibg the xray, "she has a traumatic fracture" said doctor, "and its not due to slipping alone it is like something or somebody has crushed her leg" said doctor while adhi looked at doctor with concern.. "she will be good na doctor?" asked adhi.. "yes, but it will take rest and lots of time, we have to put a plaster on her leg" added doctor. " adhi and Mrs Sahani looked at each other and nodded positive,

Kavya was put on a plaster and shifted to her room, she was in immense pain and couldn't stop crying. jhumki helped her to feel comfortable by putting pillows around her and offered to sleep with her tonight.. adhi was also in the room worried and roaming to and fro, Mrs Sahani sat beside kavya and asked her what happened in the corridor.. Kavya looked at adhi and recalling the last time adhi and rudra's arguement, kavya didnt want adhi to get involved in any fight, just nodded and said she slipped and fell unconcious and dont remember anything but adhi was not convinced, he knew she was lying or may be trying to save someone but why thought he, Mrs sahani after repeated asking and getting tge same answer left from there..

adhi came and sat beside kavya.."who did this?" asked adhi.

while kavya kept silent.. " kavya please tell me who did it" asked adhi again in a firm tone, "I already told what happened" said kavya

adhi banged his hand on the near by table in anger.. kavya looked at adhi's hand in concern if he has hurt, but adhi was full of anger and frustation..' please kavya you have any idea who ever did this could have been more dangerous" said adhi,

kavya looked at adhi " what ever it is, i will face it"affirmed kavya.

adhi forcefully held her arm and shaked her "kavya who did this"asked adhi again , kavya pushed him away "stop behaving like a kind friend" said kavya, while adhi looked at her.. "please go away from here, Dont give me more emotional guilt, I dont want you to behave like a superhero and then dump me and go. what do you think of yourself? you can come talk when ever you want, fight for me when ever you want, argue when ever you want, hold me when ever you want show me your concerns when ever you want and then ignore act as a stranger when ever you want? its enough adhi please leave from here" bursted out kavya.. Adhi kept on listening quitely " kavya, calm down"said adhi trying to take her into hug.. but kavya pished him away " go away adhi I dont want to talk" shouted kavya.. "if you want to shout please shout on who did this to you" argued adhi, " you are so stubborn adhi, you dont understand you dont talk, you are just ready to fight and why are you concerned about me I am just a bliod no one for you" shouted kavya back to adhi.. " bloody no one?? do you have any idea what have you done to me? " asked adhi frustated.. "what did I do? how would I know if you dont tell me" said kavya.. adhi realised that he may blurt out something which he shouldnot and shut his mouth.

" Tell adhi what did I do?" cried kavya "its okay you go please I have alot of pain to suffer already, I dont want a new one" said kavya lying down on bed trying to close her eyes.. jhumki dragged adhi oit of the room..

"Adhi its better you leave" requested.. "jhumki you both are not understanding, I am sure its Rudra just imagine if he would have done something else what would have happened?" asked adhi..

"please tell me adhi who am I talking to kavya's lover adhi, kavya's friend or some classmate" asked jhumki.. adhi took a deep breath and looked at jhumki.. "sit here" said jhumki making him sit on a chair outside.. "see adhi I knew you loved her that is why I told you about her engagement so that you dont get more attached to her, but what did you do? didnt even talk to her for even once, this 4 days infatuation, attraction what ever it was, weighed over your friendship.." said kavya " attraction infatuation? jhumki have you got any idea what am I struggling with?" asked adhi."No, because you dont talk about it, the same way you dont understand kavya because you never asked what she is going through, there has been so much in her life and you want to play a victim, look at her she is so brave if anyone else would have been there she would have ended up in suicide but she is fighting, because she is a fighter, and you adhi, you are so self centered that you are only bothered about your pain, your suffering, your love, your ego" argued jhumki. "jhumki" called adhi, but jhumki left and banged kavya's room door closing it from inside.. adhi waited on the same place till morning, he was thinking about what all kavya and jhumki was saying, may be he was wrong in behaving so thought him, and decided to talk to kavya his heart out,

finally the door opened and jhumki came out she was surprised to look at adhi who was sleeping on the same chair and has not moved from there.. jhumki came near him and woke him up.. "I am sorry adhi" appologised jhumki " but You behave so odd sometimes, communication is very important, we should not assume anything without listening to other side of story," concluded jhumki.. "jhumki shall we go out somewhere you me and kavya" asked adhi.. jhumki smiled "I will get her ready" said her and left

Adhi helped kavya to shift from her wheelchair by lifting her in his arms and placed her on a comfortable dice, he sat beside her. jhumki left from there to give them privacy, adhi looked at kavya while she was looking away" i am sorry kavya, i know i hurted you but even I was hurt" said adhi.. kavya didnt react and kept listening " you wont say anything?"asked adhi " complete what you want to say, i am listening" assured kavya, " kavya I dont know how you will take this, but from the first sight i fell in love with you the moment I heard you are already engaged i felt so hurt that I couldn't handle it, I couldnot understand what I want to do.. i decided I will put all my efforts in studies and try to forget you, but your thought are as stubborn as you they dont leave me" concluded adhi.. kavya didnt react she was still listening. "kavya?" called adhi. kavya forced a smile, "did you know adhi i used to think that my village is backward that is why they behave so, but I realused that even the town people are the same, shubham the one to whom I am engaged, he had an eye on me since childhood, he used to follow me everywhere I went as if he is protecting me, never allowed any one to come near me, one day he came near me and proposed me, I was so scared that I ran off to my home, then the very next day my parents and his parents fixed our engagement, no body asked me, neither my parents, neither his and neither himself.. what difference was there between them and you? you tok didnt ask, you ignored by yourself, you fought for me you helped me when and how you wanted.. what about me Adhi? why dont people think me as an induvidual, why they decide for me why do they want me to accept their decisions? my father didnt want me to study.. so one day for the first time in my life when he was following me I asked him to permit to become an iAS then the next day his parents presented their wish for me to study for it and suddenly my parents agreed.. where am I Adhi in all this?" asked kavya, adhi who was listening to all this realised his mistake and felt guilty, "kavya I love you a lot, I was so dissapointed that you were engaged that I didnt even ask about your feelings and I am really sorry, but I want to know now, do you love me too?" kavyaa looked at Adhi.. " I am not allowed to love anyone except shubham," said her, " do you love him then?" asked adhi, kavya nodded negatively, "then what the issue break off your engagement" said adhi excitedly.. while kavya glared at him.. "sorry its your life you decide" said adhi calming down.. " i will protect you all my life" said him " he did too" said kavya "I will walk with you" he said

"he did too"

" I will fulfill all your wishes" he said

" I will take care of you" he said.

adhi looked at her dissapointed.. " tell me something which I want" said kavya

adhi kept thinking and kavya smiled, "Adhi.. you are a good person and a good friend too, but someone has trusted me and allowed me to study I cant break his trust" concluded kavya, adhi sat silently not knowing what to say..
