I think that's where the story is heading. Kavya wil go to BasantKheri while thinking Adi isn't her friend. If he still goes as part of the project, there will be clashes with him.

I agree Kavya should be the one to clear her sister name and fight her own battles without any help

I feel that after clearing this misunderstanding their friendship becomes even strong coz Kavya will get to know Adi's helping nature and Adi will get know how important Basantkhedi issue is for Kavya . The way misunderstanding was developed is quite interesting also given that Kavya started having trust issues after what Shubh and his family has done to her
