Truth be told, this is what stands out in Kavya for me. I haven't seen other Sony shows so can't say much, but here she's strong-headed without being insensitive and rude. She makes a point and is clear in what she wants for herself and her family. She isn't letting her family become her weakness even though Shubh and family are trying their hardest. The next step would be to get over why Shubh's father is planning next. I don't want Adhiraj to save her. Let her fight her own battles.

Shubh's whole family is a bunch of blood-sucking vampires. His mother suffers from internalized misogyny and his father probably looks down upon his wife too.

However.. I love the way other women are presented in the show, especially around Kavya. One is Kavya, the most balanced one. Then the Haryanavi girl. And then the other girl who is modern and talks mostly in English.

Indian TV has been notorious for making women like that villainous. But here, she's actually very sweet and kind of clueless. It seems she's never been around people who aren't of her financial status, but it doesn't make her crunch her nose in disgust and conspire to get better than the others.

The show is going well. I hope it's a finite series so that it concludes with the same decency it started.

Hello,

I love the show so far. I enjoy the scenes between Kavya and the politician. There is so much to explore there and it can be done once we see Kavya becomes an IAS. It is interesting how all the villains so far involve people in power who have a strong influence over Kavya's life. This shifts the story from just household issues. For Instance, Shub's dad uses his influence to put obstacles in Kavya's path and this speaks to the unbalanced power dynamics that sometimes exists in women's relationship and how it can be used to emotionally blackmail and abuse. Also, Kavya and the politician, feel like a chess game of words. It was interesting to see how quick-witted the politician is and even better to see Kavya keep up with him.

I think its a nice contrast for now at least

Shubh family is rich and his dad obviously now holds a powerful position in academy
While adhiraj his family also have strong connections

Kavya in the middle

Adiraj has come to the academy to fulfill the dreams of his mom the way Adi and his mother potrayed those emotions were superb she was All india rank 10 malini kumar IAS, Cadre, UP,Jhilla Lucknow.

Adiraj was once again the savior of the day! She almost lost the chance to enter the ceremony and all doors were closed.

Yesterday's episode was wholesome... They set the perfect base for her journey.. They didnt let kavya be the ITV female who do mahanata for everyone except her... Its not shown as that... It shown as her aim... "Jis maksad keliye hum IAS banne the.. Pehle din uss Maksad ko bulade"

IAS is her way to serve people who wants to be heard... So she is keeping her Aim intact....

They even shown Adiraj family yesterday... His mother was IAS OT rank 10.... It still mystery why did she didn't pursue it further... Seems like Adiraj is fulfilling his mother's dream... And his Father is so controlling...

Now shubh's family is hell trying to make Kavya leave the academy by triggering her weakness

Today's episode was amazing loved it.

Highlight of the episode was monologue of IAS Kavya Bansal.

Kavya monologue:

Hum Kavya Bansal IAS officer banana chahte hai jo un sab log ki awaz hogi jin ka mic off kardiya jata hai

Sumbul the actress. She just nailed this scene

Giriraj trying his best to breakdown Kavya. Just loved whole episode.

Kavya was locked out of her room and she went to sleep in what she thought was an empty room. The catch - that room belongs to Adiraj and Sanjeev. Adiraj being Adiraj has snuck out with Sanjeev to drink beer. They came back to find a girl sleeping on Adiraj's bed which scared the hell out of them. smiley37

Before this Adiraj ran into Kavya. Literally. Tried to flirt with her, called her Mrs. Mickey Mouse but she had no time for him. She had bigger things to worry about - like an out-of-control mentor who is hell bent on ruining her life and an equally deranged ex who she still can help missing.

Mentor Jaideep Thakur is trying to use her dead sister to ruin her IAS aspirations. Her sister Navya killed herself after being humiliated and falsely accused of in a village, Jaideep wants to sent her to that village under the guise of a "project". He thinks she will back down and resign rather than go there. Kavya has a private breakdown - beautifully acted by Sumbul. Panic attacks are difficult to portray onscreen realistically but she was brilliant in it.

I don't know who i hate more - Jaideep or his son Shuv. Shuv was the one who couldn't clear UPSC in 6 tries but sure, it's Kavya's fault. Lets make her life hell. They are right now more detestable than Adiraj's dad who appears to be a more subtle villain.

Instead of this revenge against kavya, if

jaideep should concentrate on his sons study

then shub can get through the exam. I think

he know his son will never achieve this.

Wohi to. He is busy ruining Kavya's life while his son is busy being a cheap copy Devdas. On some level, he has started to believe his son can't qualify for UPSC and he is trying to counter that by taking out all his frustration on innocent Kavya. It makes me so angry but this is so common - blaming the bahu for the faults of the "raja beta".
