Abhishek wants to be on KBC2
In the previous season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, Abhishek Bachchan was not invited to be on the coveted hotseat, leading him to complain, "Wonder why I am not yet on the hotseat.
Maybe they are waiting for me to brush up my general knowledge!" For KBC 2, rumours were rife that both Abhishek and sis Shweta would participate for the Raksha Bandhan episode this Friday as part of the celeb participation. But Abhi denies this, "I would love to appear on KBC.
After all, my pa is the show's host. But I have not been formally approached yet."
Meanwhile Star Plus head honcho Sameer Nair insists that "a formal letter inviting Abhishek to participate in KBC as the celeb guest has already been dispatched to his residence for which we are awaiting a positive response."
So ardent fans of the Sr and Jr Bachchan who loved them in BAB and Sarkar — keep your fingers crossed. Unless Busy B Abhi has dus bahaane to keep deferring his KBC appearance.
