Before the release of Main Hoon Na Sush had said "Watch our chemistry. We set the screen on fire" and ofcourse her words proved prophetic when the film released. The Khan-Sen pairing rocked and will soon rock again.
Again the Khan-Sen combo will be seen in producer Viveck Vaswani's Dulha Mil Gaya... say yes to a relationship. "Watch their chemistry in my film. When I went with my director Muddasar Aziz and narrated the story both agreed immediately. There's Fardeen Khan and a new girl. The first schedule is here and the rest will be short in the Carribean Islands." Music is by Lalit Pandit the second half of the Jatin-Lalit duo.
Sushmita got the Ms. Universe crown (1994) for the first time for India and has been acknowledged as one of the most intelligent women. She has always dared to walk the untreaden path. She is the first Indian woman celebrity to adopt a child and is mother to her Renee.
While her colleague Aishwarya Rai who had won the Ms. World crown the same year, zoomed smoothly ahead in her career, became the international face with smartly planned strategies, Sushmita won over people with her warmth and genuine interest in people. Even Amitabh Bachchan had said, "Sushmita has warmth in her eyes, which shows in her smile and face" when asked which of the two beauties he preferred.
She had a tiff with David Dhawan during the shooting of Biwi No 1 and it was Salman Khan who had intervened and settled the problem. A small act of hers had won over the soft-hearted Khan, when they were shooting for Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya in Bangkok. One evening she had hired a limousine and had taken her entire staff to the casinos and for dinner. Today, Sush and Salman are the best of buddies.
Her love affairs and relationships are discussed openly though when she breaks up her men never speak badly about her and she remains friends with them. This shows a nature which is giving and generous.
Ironically, her films may not have done well, but most of her item songs-n-dances have been a huge success. Songs like 'Memboob mere...'(Fiza), 'dilbar dilbar...'(Sirf Tum) and 'Shakalaka baby...' (Nayak) have been chartbusters.
Infact, Zeenat Aman is of the opinion that Sushmita is the only actor in Bollywood to portray her role, if any filmmaker should want to make a film on Zeenat's life.
Though none of Sushmita's recent films have done well, her Hollywood film Karma Confessions has not yet released, and she no longer is the brand ambassador of Tag Heuer watches, in all Sushmita Sen just needs one hit film to give the required push to her career. This film with SRK may just be the answer to her professional predicament.
