I know I'm writing this at my own risk as this forum is purely for SRK fans only. All detractors are to stay away and all admirers to stay put!

However, I had to say what I'm about to say never mind the angry replies that are sure to follow.

What's with the rings act? I thought it was very childish and demeaning. It was obviously a dig at AB's assorted rings that he used to sport on his fingers.

Joking around is fun and SRK has made that an art. But when you start joking on national TV about people's beliefs, that's crossing the line.

Of course, SRK turned the whole thing into a female fan joke but the intent was not lost on the viewers. Even newaspapers picked on this.

Ok, I've worn my armour now. Throw the brickbats!

Who said this forum is for SRK fans only? 😕 But not everyone will agree to every post. Difference of opinion is inevitable.

Anyway, there are people who love him and admire everything he does and there are people who criticize him for everything he does, whether its what he does/says on KBC3, his choice of films, people he's associated with (Karan, KWK) or his humor/jokes. Lovers will love, critics will criticize. I don't see that changing anytime soon. 😆

Ok, back to the topic. Can you please explain more on Big B's rings and beliefs? I'm not really aware of the significance of the rings. Appreciate it, thanks. 😊

WoW! That was the first nicely worded and intelligent
and unbiased comment I've read so far on this forum!
About the rings...in India, many people wear certain stones either as rings or penedants for goodluck and to ward off evil.
Astrologers tell us after reading our horoscopes to wear a particular stone for health and happiness. The stone should be imbeded in the metal in such a way that it should touch the skin so that the rays of the sun can penetrate the stone and reach the skin for the full effect. Sapphire is the popular stone to ward off the ill effects of Shani or Saturn. Many wear coral or navaratna stones (9 stones) as well.
AB wears an assortment of rings, mostly Sapphire...two on one finger...but lately, he's taken most of them off!
