"Not true at all," Barot shoots back, even before I complete my question, "Is it possible for me to surpass Don? He [Bachchan] won a popular award for the film in question and in my opinion, it's difficult for him to supersede that performance in our next film together. Could Ramesh Sippy outdo Sholay?" So the news is untrue? "Absolutely! Trust me, I don't have a clue how it originated in the first place. It's being said that I called him [Bachchan], narrated the story on phone and he okayed it instantly. It's humbug. I never did such a thing," he swears.
