Prasenjit Sarkar, 39, from Kolkata is a very happy man! After having waited for what seemed like endless months, he is back on the sets of KBC as the rollover contestant from the last season and joins SRK on the Hot Seat in the hopes of winning the 2 crores that are on offer.
Any nerves, Prasenjit?
"I am a little nervous. But the hospitality I received from Star and Synergy was so comforting. They are extremely cordial and friendly group of people. They looked after every aspect of my stay - right down to my laundry - and I don't think this time will be any different. And therefore, since I have nothing to worry about what happens off the hot seat, I am much more relaxed to work on my preparation."
Prasenjit says he was disappointed at the end of the last season with him still playing but now can't wait for the season to start with SRK. In between the two seasons, I have been keeping track of KBC every single day. I doubt there is anything that has been written anywhere that I haven't read. If it had the word KBC I have most surely read it. It has been a bit stressful. But when I came to know Shahrukh will be the host of KBC my reaction was nothing but ecstatic. I never thought I would get to meet SRK so all in all I think I'm very lucky. There is a saying 'Sabar ka phal meetha hota hain'. But mere sabar ka phal to bahut hi meetha hain," says Sarkar who is busy brushing up on his general knowledge for the show.
Prasenjit says he has a question for SRK too.
"Shahrukh comes from a humble background and has reached a high level of success. And I'm sure it requires a lot of hard work. So when I do meet him I want to know from where he gets this energy to keep going every single day and keep pushing himself to achieve what he has. I have a little son and I think that advice will help him and lots of young children all over the world as well!"
Well, we couldn't agree more Mr. Sarkar!
